Staff excellent hotel not so much

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: Include parking in your rate and seems like the water heater issue with an ongoing problem in this hotel. Can't believe room was not checked out to ma
Location: Lots of restaurants and bars nearby only stayed one night but wouldn't go back
Front desk clerk Yoel was great and full of information. Room was nice but no view of the water unless you peeked through the buildings to see a little bit. Air conditioning not working and had to replace the face plate and battery. During the night it stopped working again and slept with no covers on to be comfortable. Got up early in the morning and checked out for hours before I Had to and reported the problem. They were willing to move me to another room but what for. Received a note sometime during the night about water heater problems and no hot water. Another problem. Also parking was very difficult and had to pay for it to boot. Parking attendant not very helpful and small parking spots for a larger SUV.

Check-in

Posted Jan 23, 2015
The only complain I have is, the check-in process took about 1 hour and 30 minutes because the room was not ready.

Very Nice Surprise

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: Room, pool, staff ...
Cons: Charge less for parking if you stay there as a guest. Fix workout room.
Location: Convenient to beach, shopping, restaurants etc.
While the workout room was broken and the in-house dining option wasn't much of one, I was extremely pleased with my stay at the Radisson on Ashford Ave in Condado. The rooms couldn't have been nicer. Housekeeping was pleasant, on time, and without question saw to my needs and personal rhythm. I took the suggestion to ask to stay on an upper floor (away from the thumping casino). I availed myself of their excellent rooftop pool and even got a massage in the adjoining salon/spa. I wish they charged less for parking ($12 a day), but other than that, I'd go back.

Decent hotel close to the beach.

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Conveniently located by the beach.
Cons: Remodel the rooms.
Location: Lots of restaurants and pharmacy stores.
I booked this hotel as a last minute option after missing my flight back to Chicago, and stayed one more night in San Juan. It wasn't a bad hotel. I personally wouldn't want it as my hotel for my weekend get-away, but for a last minute place to crash, it certainly will suffice. The hotel staff were very nice and receptive. I just wish the hotel was a bit more modernized. That is all.

Nice location, but old and poorly maintained hotel

Posted Jan 21, 2015
The hotel is old, dirty and noisy. The air conditioner is so loud it sounds like an airplane. The room is dirty, especially under furniture and along the walls. The safe in the room had its batteries falling out all the time, so we were not sure of its usefulness. The only good things about this hotel is the location and friendly staff.

Great area!

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: The location.
Cons: The room we had the first night was older... The room we had the second night was AMAZING and renovated!
Location: We loved walking up and down the street, lots of locals running and walking their dogs. The restaurants nearby are AMAZING we loved Tijuana's Restauran
My husband and I stayed at this hotel the night before and after our cruise. This hotel is great, close to the beach, a short cab ride to the cruise port, and on a safe street with plenty of restaurants, bars and a Walgreens and CVS for any misc items you forgot to pack.

Good Location in Condado Area

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Fridge in the room.
Location: Close to the beach, but I think the undertow is dangerous. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Old San Juan is long walk.
The room was a mini-suite, so there was plenty of room. It had a small balcony, but not that great of a view. There was no refrigerator nor was there a microwave. There is a casino on the ground level, but it didn't go there. The first night there I had a couple of beers and a burger at the hotel bar. It was quite expensive, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby that have good food at reasonable prices. I would stay there again.

How was our stay??

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: Helpful friendly staff
Cons: New carpet - more attention to cleaning details
Location: We were not there to be entertained, we were there only to spend the night before boarding a cruise ship. There were nearby restaurants and shopping
We blindly selected this hotel via the internet. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the room (sheets etc) were clean but the carpet appeared in need of replacing and room corners looked like they needed attention. The location was good - near places to eat and shop for last minute forgotten items since we were heading for a cruise. We were only there for one night. The reason I would not recommend this hotel to a friend is because given the same circumstances as ours, there are hotels closed to the cruise docks that would work out better.

Hotel should have been nicer.

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Some of the staff were very kind.
Cons: Everything that I mentioned above.
Location: There are casinos, shopping, and beaches.
I have stayed there many times before. However, this time, I did not enjoy my stay. The Ambassador Club access was not included in my reservation and they wanted me to pay 30 dollars a day for their services. That was ridiculous. I reported the malfunction of the ice machine three times and it was not fixed. I am sorry but I will not be staying there again.
