They charge for everything. For parking is $20 each day why cant they have complementary valet or build a garage where you can park your on car it's hard to find parking there. I will def not go back to that hotel. They also charge for cleaning fees

Good Hotel in Old San Juan near the Cruise Piers

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: The view of the harbor from our window was very nice. The rooftop pool is small and shallow but nice, and the view from up there is great.
Cons: More benches and chairs outside would be nice.
Location: Down the street and to the right is a RIte Aide drug store and next to that, the tourist bureau, where the staff will fill you in on what's up.
The Sheraton Old San Juan is a nice Hotel right across the street from the water. The staff were all nice, not fawning, but helpful and always polite. It is very convenient locale if you want to visit anywhere in the old city. Right next door is Senor Frog's, a big tourist spot. The casino is small and low key. Good cafe con leche in the coffee shop. The gym and pool are small but nice. We didn't try the restaurant there but it looked okay. Dining is pretty convenient with lots of restaurants within a few blocks radius. Mostly touristy but a couple, like Mojitos, or Punto de Vista, good and reasonable. We recommend St. Germain, a little walk away, if you're sick of mofongo and ropa vieja and want to make some healthier choices.

Great views of the pier and the cruise ships.

Posted Jul 4, 2014
I walked in to check in and they tell me I had an upgrade. My family walks in the room right before me. I walk in and the first thing I notice is my wife beaming with the widest smile. That was when I realize that we had a great view of the pier and the bay, not in one window, but three on different walls overlooking west and north.

Lovely hotel but disappointed in customer service

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Check in was quick, the room was clean. The information desk concierge was very well informed and helpful. Great taxi service
Cons: Customer service upon check out and the manager could be a little more interested in the clients queries.
Location: Old San Juan is beautiful. Very close to the Barcardi factory (quick cheap ferry ride), great restaurants and shopping in walking distance.
I stayed at The Sheraton in May 2014 and chose this hotel because of the perfect location AND more importantly because there was no service/room charge at check out (according to the website we booked through). We had a lovely stay and were actually given a different room with two separate beds instead of the one King bed we booked for. That was a great surprise seeing as it was myself and a friend and we do not share a bed. Overall it was a wonderful stay but upon check out, we were told we owed quite a large sum of money. They said it was the service charge/facility charge. I showed them a print out of our booking where it stated there are no additional charges and it is all included in the rate we paid. The manager was called but he didn't want to hear it and just told us to pay. I did end up paying it but I think they went about it in completely the wrong manner and I left feeling angry and irritated. If the website I booked through got it wrong, then I would think the Sheraton should have taken it up with them and stuck to our terms and conditions on our booking confirmation. I feel they should make sure the information provided to the third party websites is correct and honor what we had on our booking. Very unprofessional.

Best hotel accommodation for Carnival Cruise

Posted Jul 1, 2014
My family and I stayed at the Sheraton which was the very best location to get on the Carnival Cruise to the Virgin Islands. We just wheeled our suitcases ourselves to the Cruise Terminal, which enabled us to qualify us for early check in! Thanks.
