Close to DowntownPosted Apr 9, 2014
Location: Shopping sight-seeing, resturants.
Our experience was not great. Booked and paid for our room in January for March 27th and 29th. Travelled all day and arrived there at midnight only to be told our room was not ready and we had to go to another hotel. They said there was a leak in the room and there was nothing else available for that night. We now know that was a lie because two more couples travelling with us arrived later and faced the same situation but I guess they weren't as submissive as us and they ended up being upgraded to two huge suites. That suite was obviously available when we checked in but was not offered to us.

Location IdealPosted Apr 7, 2014
This hotel is in close proximity to all of the attraction in old San Juan . Walking distance to everything. Our stay was short but eventful, tour old San Juan and the surrounding areas.

Great location!Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Proximity to everything. Old San Juan, restaurants and stores.
Cons: Renovation to lower level rooms is needed.
Location: Playa Del Sol restaurant on the water with "great" food & mojito's & CVS pharmacy w/everything needed for pre-cruise. Both are just around the corner.
The hotel staff was great and proximity to downtown Old San Juan sites and restaurants was perfect. We were there with other family members. Their room was on a lower level and it was in need of renovation but still clean. We were on the top floor and our room and small balcony view was awesome and well worth the cost. I do not believe you could get a more convenient hotel for staying the night before a cruise with Carnival. I would definetily stay here again.. on the top floor.

Nice hotel great locationPosted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: room was clean
Location: Great location
Hotel was nice you could walk any where in Old San Juan staff was nice but its not a resort so if you are looking for that this is not the place for you. if you want to go to the beach go to Isla Verde its the best one San Juan has every kind of food you can think of. Lots of stores for shopping the casino was ok free drinks while you play. its a nice place lots of things to do you just have to explore the city

Decent hotel, not next to the beachPosted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: Location if you are not looking for the beach. Restaurants in the hotel are good as well.
Cons: More things in the room. Only TV and iron is available, no fridge or anything.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is right next to the harbor, which is good for a night walk and picture. Nightlife and architecture of Old San Juan are very decent as well, but if it is the beach you are looking for, you will have to take transportation to get there. Staff are very friendly, but room cleaning is not so thorough (e.g. forgot to replace towels, did not replenish bottles of water)

Comfortable,convenient, and courteous.Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: The breakfast buffet was nice and wait staff very courteous.
Cons: The mattress was a bit lumpy. They pool area could be larger.
Location: As mentioned above, the location was terrific despite not being near a beach.
We found the Sheraton Old San Juan to be comfortable, well equipped, and staffed by courteous folks eager to help in everyway. Location was easy to reach by car and close to many restaurants and shops as well as historical sites in Old San Juan by foot or tour trolley. We would recommend this hotel to future travelers.

Great location, in Old San JuanPosted Apr 2, 2014
Cons: Our room was not ready at check in and we had to wait about an hour.
Location: You can take the trolley or wander on foot to the two forts and through the old city.
Near lots of restaurants and shopping, with a drugstore just down the street. Also there is a stop for the trolley nearby which will take you around Old San Juan and to both of the old forts. Taxis are readily available too. The hotel is older but in good shape. Will return there.
