“More of a Hostel than Hotel; but all the basics ok”

This place was really more of a hostel than a hotel... took us ages to find it because we were told it was across the street from a "park" so we were busy looking for green grass, etc... the park was actually what looked like a parking lot with a fountain (with a big cross on top) across the street. Once we found the place though, the owner was really nice and so easy going. He just handed us the keys, no paperwork and said he'd leave something for breakfast and we were welcome to take some or not. We never did see him after that as we were instructed to leave the keys on the kitchen table when leaving. So we would recommend the place to someone looking for a place to sleep in a good location - it was right by the water and basically along the route we were going. It had a bit of a "granny's flat" feel to it as it was just a few rooms above some shops in a not-so-obvious place. Comfortable and clean, it served it's purpose. Breakfast was bread with butter and some freshly brewed coffee (from a home coffee maker) which we found charming but appreciate others may find lacking. As long as all you need is a place to stay - this is a good choice!
