Cons: Self parking experience communicating with the garage staff could be challenging some days.

Elegant Hoteo

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: Old favourite
Cons: Some of the more elegant pieces of furniture in the public areas have been removed and replaced with tacky pieces, with obviouscheap looking results.
Location: Under the airport flight path but all rppms well soundproofed. Right on the beach with a lovely pool. Not much to do in the area, except in other ho
Nice, large bedroom and bathroom. Air conditionng in public areas was freezing ! Breakfast excellent but expensive. Staff charming and helpful.

We think the hotel is excellent.

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Generally very positive - the staff is extraordinary, the location makes this a very easy long weekend.
Cons: Lunch menu at the outdoor restaurant very limited and only fair but the setting makes up for the food.
Location: Old city, Walking on the beach. Fortunately we had great weather so we did not go to fijardo or Dorado.
The staff is very helpful; The rooms are fine - housekeeping service was a bit erratic but overall the best on this strip.

Excellent, easy sunny getaway

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: High-end, classy, easy getaway that we felt really good about.
Cons: One day housekeeping didn't come until dinner time, (minor) and we have yet to resolve a billing issue (we were erroneously charged for some things).
Location: Easy access to airport (5-10 min $15 cab ride) & a 15-20 minute ($21 cab ride) to Old San Juan. One day we rented a car & drove to El Yunque (45 min).
Everything about our getaway was simple. Short cab ride from San Juan's airport, the customer service was terrific and as you would expect (mimosa while we checked in, friendly staff at all points including the doormen and the beach attendants). We opted for a pool-view room with no balcony and didn't regret it - we were hardly in the room at all. The bed was to die for - so comfortable and noise wasn't too much of an issue. Usually my husband is a light sleeper but we didn't hear much at night, except for a 5am wakeup call in the room next door that they didn't answer the first couple of times. There was no plane noise, which I was concerned about, being so close to the airport. The pool was terrific and the beach was even better, plenty of chairs for everyone but I'd recommend getting to the beach before 10am if you want a choice of spots. Beach/pool service was terrific; the Ritz supplies aloe and sunscreen, plus delicious oranges and fruit-infused water which we refilled over and over. They also offered guests dried fruit. Every 20-30 minutes or so you hear a plane take off but it didn't bother us, the waves were terrific and the water was gorgeous; warm enough to walk right in and very refreshing. We also ordered lunch one day while on the beach and while the prices were high ($15 cocktails, $7-8 beers and $18 fish tacos) the quality was exceptional. Finally, we also explored the local bars/restaurants w/in walking distance and felt safe, tho options are limited.

Nice hotel grounds with a very professional staff

Posted Dec 15, 2014
This is a Ritz. It's an expensive place to stay, and people who don't know that shouldn't stay there. You're paying for the quality and the atmosphere. I can't understand why people complain about the prices here, because it's what should be expected. Anyway, the staff is very professional and courteous. They do everything to make you feel comfortable. The grounds are very nice and for the most part, well kept. The beach is also extremely well kept and relaxing. I'd recommend this hotel to a friend willing to pay a little bit more for a very comfortable stay.

Dear guest, When we are during high season sometimes occupancy doesn’t allow us to grant late check-out, as we need to prepare the rooms for the arriving guests. I am sorry we were not able to grant you late check-out this time. Whenever occupancy is low we always try to please these types of requests. We hope we can serve you in the future and thank you for your feedback. Executive Office

A Repeat MUST.....

The Resort was BEYOND gorgeous, the Staff was GREAT, the Bartenders are the BEST and the Food is Terrific. My room literally Sat in front of the Ocean, the view was Breathe taking, Especially in the Mornings when the Sun was just rising. The Casino is Very Nice (I won a $109 with a $1 , YAYYYY!) I'm not even a gambler lol. I must say I picked one of the Best Places for my FIRST time visiting San Juan. P.S The Local People are Full of LOVE, I could actually stay there!

This is a great place to stay. The plentiful staff were always available to assist with anything my wife or I may have needed.
