A former coconut plantation, this 483-acre resort is on the north coast of Puerto Rico, between a wide, sandy beach and the rainforest. San Juan International Airport is approximately 12 miles away.
More than 65 percent of the resort has been preserved as green areas, sanctuaries, and nature trails. The property was awarded Gold Signature Sanctuary certification by Audubon International.
The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort features 2 miles of private beach and a large, zero-entry pool. Guests can relax with a cool tropical drink on the spacious, palm-fringed sundeck.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the golf course offers ocean-side greens, scenic lakes, and undulating fairways. Nature-lovers can walk or bike the resort's trails, scuba dive, play tennis, and bird-watch, or fish, kayak, or paddle-board on a river. Guests can also help the resident naturalist feed the turtles.
Other highlights include the Remède Spa, 3 restaurants, a fitness facility, gift shop, library, and St. Regis' signature butler service.
