Amazing resort. The pinnacle of luxury.

Pros: The service is incredible. The staff are unbelievably attentive and helpful. The hotel itself is also incredibly luxurious.
Cons: The food was merely okay, not amazing. For the price, I was disappointed.
Location: El Junque is a beautiful rainforest. There's plenty to do inside the resort, and plenty to do outside (bioluminescent bay, rainforest hiking, beaches)
My wife and I went here for our honeymoon. The St. Regis in Bahia Beach is the nicest beach resort I've ever been to. The rooms are large and luxurious and laid out in such a way that each feels like a private jungle villa. The staff is incredibly polite, helpful, and attentive. The resort itself is gorgeous and well-appointed. Highly, highly recommended if you can afford the steep rates for rooms and for food.

Top notch resort. The only thing they could improve are their restaurants. It's not that the food is bad but we traveled through many neighbor cities and did eat better food for less money. Definitely rent a car if you want to stay there but have any interest in seeing the rest of the island.

Our favorite place in PR. Stayed at the Ritz in Isla Verde on a short trip and it paled in comparison to the St. Regis. Now we know. Even if we're in PR less than 48 hours, the drive to Bahia Beach is worth it.

Pros: Staff was very courteous.
Cons: Would be nice to have a store to buy some snacks for the kids.
Location: Rainforest was nice but needs better signage.
Very secluded hotel good for weekend getaway. Would be a nice facility to have horse back riding.

Nice destination,limited food choices,slow service

Pros: Concierge and tour desk girls were wonderful. Spa was beautiful.
Cons: More food choices and more realistic pricing on food.
Location: All kinds of stuff off resort, ATV, zip lining etc. but all about 30 minutes away.
Absolutely beautiful resort and the staff is very courteous and efficient. The beach is nice and the rooms were awesome. Now the bad part. There were only two restaurants as one is being renovated. That one is only a high end dinner so it wouldn't matter. Breakfast is served in only one restaurant and even though the resort had only 83 of 160 units were occupied, a simple breakfast took well over an hour and sometimes 20 minutes just to get coffee. The worst part is an average breakfast for the five of us was about $ 150. Then on top of the ridiculous prices comes the 18-20% suggested gratuity. Lunch is best done on the beach or by private dining but still ridiculously over priced. Even a simple Pina Colada is $ 20 bucks plus tip. I'm not a squeaker but felt that as they have you captive they really took advantage. Dinner at Fern was wonderful and the salmon was fantastic, but again without even a bottle of wine we were about $ 450. BTW the only outdoor bar was closed for half a day for bee infestation. Absurd.
