“best time ever”
I really like this hotel for isla Verde the people all speak English an everyone is nice also the restaurants had 5 star corse meals an the bar tenders know what there are doing also the surrounding hotels had clubs and down the street are familiar fast food subway etc
“The deception”
The hotel lobby and the pool area are the best things about this hotel. The rooms are out dated and stinky. The carpet was so old and nasty looking that I was scared to take off my socks and shoes. That was the worst living experience I had on a vacation
“Not very impressive”
This hotel is in a pretty good location on Isla Verde. Staff are friendly. Room was pretty dirty and showed signs of age. First day had no hot water. Maintenance tried to fix it the second day by turning on the hot water heater. Why the hot water wasn't on to begin with is anyone's guess but finally had hot water. Restaurants in the hotel aren't bad although there are other options nearby within walking distance. The beach is a 5 minute walk but dirty and very crowded with locals. Better served by renting a car and driving to 7 Seas Beach or Luquillo (30 minutes east). The pool is good at this hotel, and is probably the best asset. Overall 2.5 stars. Better bet is Hampton or Holiday Inn Express in Condado.
“Excellent!!!!”
3 Thumbs up
“Cockroaches and Mold”
The lobby is newly renovated and nice, but the rooms are old with many problems. We switched rooms a couple of times: first because of mold issues, the second because of cockroaches. I would not recommend this hotel until they renovate it.
“Could have been better with better service from maintenance.”
The rooms were pretty nice at first view, but then the tv wasn't working until I called the front desk and had it fixed. After that I was satisfied until I noticed that the coffee machine didn't work. Also they charged me $5 for a local call that I made from the phone in the room. I was also unhappy when they forgot to put toilet paper in the bathroom and I requested 2 rolls and they only sent up one roll. I think that 's pretty cheap of them. Also when the light bulb in the bathroom went out I called the front desk and they never did send anyone to replace it, so I replaced it myself with one from the desk lamps. This hotel is pretty nice just to sleep in but don't expect too much in the way of customer service.
“Would not recommend.....”
Located outside of San Juan....to go anywhere worth seeing you need to rent a car or get a taxi. The hotel charges 10 dollars a night to park there, 6% resort fee, and takes a 200 deposit for a room. I would recommend staying in old San Juan or Condado where everything is happening.
“Moldy - but decent food and good Customer service”
The good : Staff was pretty friendly , food and restaurants were actually pretty good , grounds are maintained fairly well . Very close to Airport and a short walk/drive to Alambique beach and highways . That being said ... Rooms are very basic , TVs are outdated , Views of pool side are diminished by disgusting views of old and unclean roof tops Upon walking into elevator there was an intense moldy smell , this then followed us to the 7th floor , we decided that rate paid was fair so we spent the night in our room , upon further expection the next day after waking up congested , we began to look around , my pillow was actually covered in black mold as well as lamp shades and different furnitures as if the room has been submerged in water ... but on the 7th floor ??? We brought the pillow down and explained situation and were relocated to a room on the 4th floor with a slightly better smell but the conditions of that individual room were much cleaner . When i spoke to a gentlemen in the elevator and asked him if he had experienced this in his room , he said ... Well its close to the airport and its WAY better then it was the last time ... Lot of potential here , but for health and safety I would not recommend to my friends or family .
“loved it, will go back”
my family loved it, easy access to beach and good food at the hotl.
“Nice stay for the price.”
Great location (nearby the airport) and service. We stayed after the storm Irene and all the hallway in our room level and the elevators smelled bad (humidity) but the room did not had that problem. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The Verdanza hotel is nearby the Embassy Suites, so yo have a Casino and Outback crossing the street. It was a good stay and I don't have any complaint other than the odor because of the humidity.
