Lovely hotel and friendly staff.Posted Apr 16, 2015
This hotel is quiet, calm, and very convenient. The sunny interior is so charming, with colorful tile, hanging vines and a tree growing right through it! Any question I had was answered quickly by the staff, who made my stay so comfortable and easy. The location is perfect-- just a block away from the beach and lots of incredible restaurants and shops. The rooftop pool is tranquil and perfect for a morning or evening swim. Every afternoon when I returned to Casa Doña Susana, I found myself thinking that I could not have chosen a better hotel!

Acogedor, cerca de la playaPosted Apr 14, 2015
Piscina en la terraza muy agradable. La mayoría de las habitaciones no tienen ventanas al exterior, pero la nuestra tenía un balconcito al exterior.

Nice for the pricePosted Apr 4, 2015
The room was comfortable enough considering this is not intended to compete with a high end hotel. It was very clean and ample space in the bedroom and bathroom. There was no view. You had to keep the curtains pulled because the window in the room was open to the walkway where patrons passed. After about 9am nearly every morning there is noise of one type or another. Seems there is constant maintenance going on. One morning when trying to catch the morning news someone began using power equipment outside the room. Overall, not to make it sound totally bad, it is an OK place as long as you are not expecting a high end hotel. Considering if you came here to experience this great location you probably won't spend very much time indoors anyway.

Beautiful boutique steps away from the beachPosted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Everything! The rooftop pool, the decor, the open roof. It was beautiful!
Cons: Everything was wonderful during our stay.
Location: Steps away from so much... The beach, the Malecon (the boardwalk), shopping, restaurants.
Casa Doña Susana was the perfect hotel/boutique for my husband and I to stay in. Open roof with loads of sunlight streaming in, rooftop pool, steps away from the beach and Malecon (the boardwalk) and tons of shops and restaurants. The staff was wonderful. Always smiling and so friendly. Every time we had our room cleaned, they always gave us 2 new bottles of water for drinking as well as fresh towels. They were great. This hotel is adults only and it was just wonderful. We enjoyed our all-inclusive stay with them as well. The drinks were wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious. You had to get the food and drinks at the main hotel which was just around the corner, but it was a nice little walk to be able to see the activities going on for the day. There were many other activities the hotel offered but we didn't take advantage of them since my husband and I were in town for a wedding and had our evenings booked for that. We have nothing more than positive words for Casa Doña Susana. Next time we visit, we are staying with them! Thanks for an amazing experience! :)

Casa Dona SusanaPosted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Its in the middle of Old town and close to the beach, shopping and wonderful restaurants.
Cons: the water could be a little hotter. At this point I doubt if anything can be done about the room size and shower stall.
Location: The best restaurants in Old Town are within a few minutes walk as well as the beach. You can plan any excursion you want around the corner at YeYo's
I've stayed here before and it was very comfortable. The rooms although a bit on the small side are clean with a wonderful Spanish décor and everything worked. The shower stall was a bit small and the water didn't get all that hot but it certainly wasn't cold either. The staff right down the maids and maintenance people are friendly, helpful and courteous.

Small hotel in noisy downtown areaPosted Mar 23, 2015
Ceiling leaked during rainstorm so they moved us to another room and the air conditioner leaked and the room was musty . Next day they were very nice about it and upgraded is to a pool/ocean view suite at their other hotel across the street at no extra charge. Very noisy but nice room and staff. Be aware they sell day passes to the cruise ships and public so it was very crowded and noisy often. Rooftop pool at Dona Susana saved our sanity.
