Great accommodations.

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed most everything about the hotel. The food and room were great.
Cons: A small table to the exterior deck to our room would have been nice.
Location: Central location to most activities, only not right on the beach.
Excellent staff that worked very hard to make our stay an enjoyable one. Fortunately, their knowledge of English was much better than our Spanish. The only downer to our stay was that we were given a room with two double beds for the first two nights, when on our reservation we had requested a king.

Superb hotel, amenities and staff

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: The size is perfect. It never feels too crowded. The food is excellent. The staff is friendly and it's peaceful.
Cons: Dress shorts/sandals should be okay and service could be faster at Emiliano. More umbrellas/covered beds, and dinner seatings at the Beach Club.
Location: It's 5 to 10 minutes from the airport in Marina Vallarta. Downtown is about 15 minutes by cab. The sister hotel and beach are at most 5 minutes away
This was our fourth trip to Casa Velas and it is always a relaxing experience. The grounds are immaculate, the beach club is serene, the food is excellent, the staff is extremely friendly, and there are no children. Velas Vallarta is just a quick shuttle (5 min. max) away, and there you can do yoga at the beach, have a great breakfast buffet, and then appreciate the serenity of Casa Velas. You can also walk (or shuttle) to the nearby, exclusive beach club, which has it's own restaurant and full service bar. We spent entire days there, though they really do need more umbrellas on the busier days. And for dinner, dimmer lighting. On the negative side of things, they required long pants for dinner at Emiliano, the only restaurant at the resort proper. This was a first for us, and I'm glad I packed long pants at the last minute. In 80+ degree weather, they should allow dress shorts and sandals. "No beachwear" should be the attire. This was also the first time we were turned down for dinner reservations. Emiliano is not a problem, but the Beach Club, their new Steak House, and even Grand Velas turned us down. Emiliano's food is great, but the service is slooooow, and it's nice to try something else. Overall, Casa Velas is an excellent resort. People like Benny and Daniel at the bar, Ramon at the Beach Club, Jorge at the door, Rangel at the concierge, Edgar at Emiliano, and Javier the yoga instructor, make it an even more enjoyable experience. We will surely return.

Love this place!!

I would recommend Casa Villas to anyone. The food is phenomenal, staff is fantastic and you have access to two other resorts so you can spend your days at one of three resorts. Fantastic hotel.

Back Again!!

Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: The beach club and the reciprocity with Velas Vallarta which gives you multiple dining options.
Location: In town walk the malecon-there are beautiful sculptures, art galleries, restaurants and even a shoe maker who will custom make you a pair of sandals
If I could only go one place in the world this would be it. There are so many other places we could go but this is a sure bet every time. Couldn't find a nicer staff or a lovelier hotel anywhere. The food is wonderful. The rooms are well appointed and we love the beach club.

Simply Relaxing!

Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: Relaxing atmosphere and good service, adults only.
Cons: Waiting times for breakfast, a bit more planned activities.
Location: You can go to town, beach club was super nice,
My husband and I stayed at the Casa Vela Adults only from March 28-April 1st It is very close to the hotel, about 5mins from airport. I highly recommend the "beach club" sunset dinner which was simply amazing, we dined in front of an infinity pool with the beach within a few steps and a guitar player was which was beautiful to hear play while having dinner. The adults only casa velas is very quiet, expect to just relax, no music or entertainment available there. The rooms are beautiful and service was amazing! We want to thank Vanessa at the reception desk, Beni at the cofee bar, he was sooo nice and can make the best cucumber martinis! Francisco will accomodate any modified menu request! considering Im a vegetarian, dont eat any meat or seafood and my husband is not a vegetarian he made the best dish for me! Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised!

Relaxing Vacation

We would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. So relazing, and most attentive staff I have ever met. Just got back from a week at Casa Velas, and already want to return.

This is Paradise!

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Excellent margaritas served by happy, smiling staff, the pool!!!!! The nearby beach and the paradise-like atmosphere!
Cons: Perfect!
Location: The best thing I would recommend is stay right here and relax, or go to their nearby private beach for a candlelit dinner--
After renting a house/pool with friends for a week, we were left wondering...what is so great about Mexico? We were ready to go home, when our flight from Chicago was cancelled. I searched Expedia, as we are VIP members, and this boutique hotel came up. WOW-- THIS is MEXICO! at its finest!! How I wish we had stayed here all week! The staff was over and above (exactly perfect)--food was fabulous--and our room-amazing-soft down beds, and even our own little pool!!!! We drove up the tree-lined drive to the beautiful soft yellow buildings surrounded by gorgeous landscaping..the pool (where we also had dinner) was so, so beautiful, and I felt as if we were in paradise!!! My only regret is that I stayed here the entire time!!!!! I will definitely be going back!! Thank you so much for a fabulous, memorable night!!! I wish I could transport myself back right now!! Thank you all!!!!

Very Friendly and courteous staff.

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Has two sister hotels besides it and offers shuttle service to both.
Location: Downtown is fifteen minutes away and about a 100 peso cab ride or cheaper on the bus.
Very friendly and courteous staff. Everyone greets you with a smile. Resort has great amenities and built around a large golf course. The food is great at all the restaurants.
