Staff are amazing!!!

From start to finish this was an amazing trip! The staff were very attentive and make sure that you were well taken care of. The food was great and perfect portions. Recommend trying their spa while you're there. Loved the beach club... The odd time I felt that some people chose the wrong hotel if you're looking for it to be quiet and relaxing this is the place for you

A slice of tranquil Paradise!

Posted May 10, 2015
This boutique hotel is adults only and not on the beach. A shuttle provides access to the beach just 2 minutes away. If you're wanting a serene, calm experience, this is the place for you!

First class, pampered & relaxing resort experience

Posted May 6, 2015
After an amazing welcome that made us feel right at home (and a little bit like rock stars), we spent 4 glorious days and 3 nights at Casa Velas, being treated like royalty. The staff was ultra-accommodating, providing everything we needed, exactly when we needed it. At the same time, many of them had a lighthearted sense of humor, to keep it fun. The spa was absolutely phenomenal; I highly recommend making time for a massage. The food was divine and diverse -- I would try anything and everything here. Multiple-course evening meals served at a relaxed pace, overlooking the pool and palms. The Beach Club is amazing, as well -- calm waters and beautiful sunsets. It's nice to come here with very few plans, and let life slow down a bit -- take the days as they come, and it will make for an absolutely gorgeous escape!

Relaxation

Posted Apr 20, 2015
This hotl is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel staff are amazing, the food is fabulous and the pool is like warm bath water. Although it isn't on the beach there is a shuttle that takes you to the beech house in a 1 min drive. There they also have a pool and a food and drink bar. I can't say enough great things. Five min cab ride from the airport, no vendors harassing you, different food and drink tastings every night at 6 pm. No buffet but room service and pool menus and one restaurant. You feel like royalty staying here! The pool in the room that is optional is a cold pool, just a heads up as I thought it was going to be warm! You won't be disappointed with your stay!

Tranquility in the middle of paradise

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Cons: Perhaps some more evening entertainment. The 6:00 pm events (wine and Tequilla tasting are a nice transition to dinner. But after dinner was lacking.
Location: We spent five days in paradise with little attention to the surrounding area. Other guests told us they enjoyed the old town shops and restaurants.
This hotel is a gem. It is quiet and exquisite. Fantastic ambiance with beautiful pool surrounded by palm trees, lots of water features and the most attentive staff my wife and I ever met. The peacocks are a nice addition, but a bit noisy at night. Short ride to the beach and to town. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay here again on next trip to Puerto Vallarta.

Excellent service in quiet paradise

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: The pool and beach areas were beautiful with ample seating in the sun and shade. The bar and food service at the pool and beach were top notch too.
Location: I recommend the Ocean Friendly Whale Watch tours with Oscar and Keith. Fantastic company! Walking around the El Malecon boardwalk was also fun.
Casa Velas is a great retreat. The grounds are lovely, the service at the pool and beach are amazing, and the food is superior to other all-inclusives. Loved that it was quiet, not overly-crowded, and the staff were always ready to assist. The hotel does not sit on the beach but guests have access to a private beach club that is about a 10 min walk away. Or, the hotel provides a very quick shuttle service to/from the beach all throughout the day (which takes about 3 minutes to get to the beach). At the beach club are restrooms, a restaurant and bar, an infinity pool, and the beautiful beach. Where you get into the water at the beach, it is rocky so I recommend taking water shoes/sandles for getting in/out of the water. Once in, the water was refreshing, clean, and with enough gentle waves to make it fun. Getting into town to walk around or for excursions was also very easy. It is a quick cab or bus ride into town and staff were ready to assist with maps, recommendations, etc. The hotel had fun activities planned each night for happy hour. Finally, as a female traveling alone, I also found it very safe and the hotel staff were quick to make all guests comfortable.

Pros: the quality of the service and the personal attention of the staff.
Cons: ome infrastructure starts to be a bit dated
Good hotel, well located, near the airport, on a golf course and with access to a beach club at 1 minute from the hotel. Excellent staff and outstanding service.
