ubicación excelente, lindo paisaje, mala comida

Posted May 23, 2015
El lugar es muy bonito, las imstalacionres suficientemente limpias, buen colchón. Pero los invitados a la boda enfermaron mas del 60% , sospecha de alimentos descompuestos o bebida adulterada.

Plage et piscine sur le pacifique

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Tout

Average hotel close to the beach.

Posted Apr 12, 2015
What was good was the hotel is in a great location with ocean front views, place is clean, rooms are clean, and bus stops right in front of hotel. The bad was pool and restraint service was not good, beach towels ran out of constantly, elevators were super small, rooms a little out dated.

Costa Sur Resort & Spa

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: The location - the fantastic view - the staff (front desk, tour desk, cleaning crew) all extremely friendly & helpful - made up for all else lacking
Cons: Get some chairs in all the balcony suites Improve the beach access ...and the beach Have beach towels & Lounge chairs enough for all the guests
Location: Take a bus to Mismaloya - 8 pesos each way ....a very lovely beach and area and have dinner in the village at "TONY's:
All through Expedia. Nice flight down , took taxi from airport to hotel for 250pesos. The hotel, well, it's not a SPA but rather a nice older Mexican Hotel - right on the waters edge. We were on the 13th floor with a breathtaking view and no noise from the highway. Our suite was large with comfortable king bed & large TV screen, good size bathroom with walk-in shower but a very small kitchen area - enough utensils & cookware, a fridge, 2 gas burners but no full oven - the counter space was way too small and the missing microwave was later delivered. There was a very small & narrow balcony with no chairs (asked for them twice but never came) so took the dining chairs out to sit on & enjoy the view. The beach with not a very appealing access is nothing to talk about - very small - lots of stones but they had made a small lagoon for snorkeling etc - (we did not use the beach at all). The outside area was quite nice, with a 'barefoot-bar' and a lovely restaurant where we had dinner with a lovely sunset and it was very good. There were 2 small pools, one heated, the other fresh water (a bit cool) - not enough lounge chairs to accommodate the guests and never enough beach towels available. The location was however perfect - bus stop was right outside the hotel - very handy & only 10min to downtown for only 8pesos each way. We did all our grocery shopping at LEI’s & took a taxi back for $10.00. All in all - we had a good stay & for the price guess we could not have asked for more

Hotel is old and out dated.

Posted Apr 10, 2015
I stayed one of the three I paid for and decided to leave to go to another hotel. This hotel was not even close to what I expected. I wasted money by choosing to forego the two other nights I paid for.

Costa Sur Solid Holiday.

Housekeeping was amazing! They created the towel animals to make the experience as special as the cruise ships. All the staff were thoughtful, helpful and very much service oriented am countng on coming back next year for another stay. Pools were warm, great security presence, and activities were offered throughout the day. Nice protected beach.

Posted Mar 18, 2015
When trying to do things everything was closed early bar, beach, pool. No hot water on first day, second thru 6 day no cold water. Wifi was horrible. I'd stay again but wouldn't pay what we did for room. I recommend for the elderly

Hi! Thank you for your comments. Yes, the restaurants and bars close by 10:30 pm every night to allow guests to rest. However for those guests that want a night out or two, we recommend an easy 5 minute cab ride to downtown where there is quite a bit of night life. Regarding wifi signal we are working on improving the signal in our rooms. We do hope we get to welcome you back to Costa Sur soon!

My Recent Stay

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: The staff at the hotel were the best. Very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Wifi is the biggest complaint I had.
Location: Location was a bit further south of downtown and there wasn't much around without taking a cab or the bus. Wasn't that big of an inconvienence.
The hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly. The water situation in the rooms was something to write home about! We could not really adjust the water temperature it was scolding hot and then it would get super cold. The rooms were okay and the photos they show on the website were of the remodeled floor not the general hotel. Heard only that the 8th floor is the renovated floor and I was on the 10th floor which was older in style. Also the wifi is horrible. It was spotty all throughout the complex. It worked best by the pool.

Hi Joe, Thank you for your comments. The remodelled rooms are a new room category called Premium Ocean Front Suites, all located on the 8th floor. The other two room categories are Studios which is the one you booked and the one bedroom suites located on the south tower. We are working on improving the wifi signal in the rooms, I agree, you get the best signal in the public areas like lobby or pool. We will continue to work on improving our services. Thank you so much!
