best beach in puerto vallartaPosted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: Located close enough to town for shopping and sight-seeing, but far enough away for a feeling of privacy and jungle flora and fauna. Taxi service.
Cons: more direct flights from chicago
Location: perfect location on best beach in Puerta Vallarta. Go to see Ritmos de la Noche....do not miss it!
Swimming was enjoyable in the ocean or in the pool. Beach is wonderful with plenty to do in addition to swimming. All inclusive makes everything stress free and enjoyable.

Dreams - HyattPosted Jan 30, 2014
Pros: Beach, staff, ambience, feeling of safety-security, restaurants, spa. The vendors are great Same ones for yrs. No pressure. Miss James
Cons: The Mexican restaurant hrs all restaurants are open&move the weddings from the Preferred Towers Area.I want 2 go to sleep 2 the ocean sound, not noise
Location: Hardly ever leave Dreams.
Great as usual. Yes. It does need updating but hope the new owners (Hyatt) don't overdo (or over price it.). Been going for several years. Love this place!

Pros: Location & security was good
Cons: Very old and needs substantial upgrades

Loved the staff and the beach!Posted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: Loved the staff, the beach, the food. Seaside Grill is great (both the food and location). The weather was wonderful.
Cons: It could be nice to use the pool and Jacuzzi after dusk. Also, some music to dance for would be great!
Location: Located 15 minutes drive from city center, surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Stayed there for 9 night, the food was excellent, the staff was great. The hotel features a fully private beach. It is totally secluded and offers you a full relaxation. We enjoyed every moment of our stay! There are several pools, many bars, buffet and several a-la-carte restaurants (we like the Seaside Grill the most). The setting of the hotel is breathtaking! I don't have enough good words to tell about the staff! Kids enjoyed turtle release with the Kids Club! The main pool was small, old and overcrowded. There is another smaller (and colder) pool and adults only pool. All water facilities close at dusk. We were a group of adults with kids, we wanted to use the pool/ Jacuzzi, on our own risk, after the children go to bed, but we were not allowed (we were asked to leave the facility). By 10 PM the hotel is asleep, with almost none night activities (except drinking). There is a Sport Bar, that plays music till 2 AM, but music selection is limited (although the barman tries really hard). We stayed in the older tower, that felt tired and could be refreshed. By "tired" I mean mold in the bathrooms and concaved mattresses. There is no internet at the hotel. The only option available is an overpriced Wi-fi. The Kids club was great, we used it few times, but their schedule didn't work for us. I don't think children should be outside from 12 to 16.

Great servicePosted Dec 18, 2013
Great trip however I got referred by expedia to gray line for transportation. Not only did they charge me $116 but I had to endure a sales pitch from these ppl for activities. Bad company. The hotel arraigned for transportation back to airport in brand new van for $30. That's outrageous. I will never book thru expedia any extras.

Nice all inclusive, great private beach.Posted Dec 16, 2013
Cons: A small amount of rode noise from the highway, but most resorts in PV have similar situation. Internet access is pay-as-you go rather than free
Great all-inclusive resort. 5$ cab ride to downtown yet you have a private beach. Overall good food and quality and availability of drinks was great. Great for families and couples. Rumor has it that Hyatt recently purchased - no telling what will change and when. Staff was awesome.

Great experience for first timersPosted Dec 11, 2013
Pros: Great service, "all-inclusive"
Cons: Our only real complaint was the service we received at one of the restaurants on site. We did not go back during our stay we were so disappointed.
Location: It was a bit out of town but the taxis were reasonable. Plenty of adventures/excursions offered. Lots of areas to get sun and relax on the beach
It was out first time to PV and our first time at this resort as well as our first time doing the "all inclusive". We had a fabulous experience at Dreams. The staff was super nice and helpful. Service was great at all of the eating opportunities, except at the Seaside Grill (terrible service for us!) The resort was in what felt like a bit of mild disrepair in some areas, cracked edges of the pool, etc. But our room, and all the shared areas were clean, amenities were great. The guy that helped us at the adventure desk was super helpful, and we booked two adventures through him...I would definitely recommend booking adventures through there. The beach out front was nice and clean. The welcome was awesome with champagne and a cool cloth. This was truly a great resort and would definitely go back if we go back to PV. We were not hammered about "timeshare" stuff (if they offer it, we don't even know! :-). The "pool party" on Friday at lunch was super fun. Taxis were very reasonable. Again, we would definitely recommend this resort.
