it's good for people with kids. the food was ok. kind of the same thing every day at all the restaurants. the beach was nice. lots of seating if you get up early. some staff great some basically useless. they could chill out about taking your plates before you are done eating

The staff were so friendly and helpful! The food in the reservation only restaurant was amazing, as was the Taco restaurant. The other restaurants were OK.

My stay at friendly was heaven. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was great. The food was WAY better than I was expecting. I have stomach issues and I felt great during my entire stay. I was able to get a massage on the beach every day (Erika is excellent. Not associated with the hotel) The only issue is we found a tiny field mouse in our room on our last night. Maintenance took care of it quickly but it was jarring.

Was at this property in the past it was way better than it is now the food was all the same no selection. There was barely any entertainment. There really wasn’t much to do. It’s really changed. Everything was the same everyday.

Our group of 8 adults had an awesome vacation at Friendly Fun! The staff were great, the food options were varied and very tasty, and the resort is spacious and clean. We spent a ton of time in the adults-only pool, bar, and beach area, which was relaxing, nicely treed to provide some shade, and staffed with a great team of servers and bartenders. Would absolutely recommend a stay at Friendly Fun!

Nice location by the beach. Easy to talk to the ocean. Some of the restaurants were good, others were not so great. Not enough room at the pool for the number of guests. It was impossible to get a cabana since people would reserve one and be gone for hours.

Property is nice. good and cordial employees But internet connection is terrible lower than 3G takes for ever to connect. Air condition fan is noise other than hat is a nice place.

Fabulous staff, very fun busy high activity resort, very family friendly. Great pools, sandy beach. Food was good, spa was great. We were in 11th floor with amazing views. My only issue was the noise leave never stopped. But it was a good excuse to take a walk on the beach.

The staff is stellar. The resort could use a refresh but was a good place to stay- it is central and much is walkable, if not taxis are always available. One does not feel unsafe at all. Annoying is folks that reserve lounge chairs and are seldom in them.

Second time here. Great staff and service. Our room was very large and deck had great views of pool and ocean and mountains. The things we didn't care for was the exceptionally loud music at times during the day and at night but not every night. The beds around the pool were nice but not many. Loungers would make more sense. People take all the beds and loungers on beach and pool by 7am. Didn't like the cigarette smoke wafting into the pool area by the smoking areas. Overall good experience though and would probably go back

A/C wasn’t working, 25°C at night, waited five hours for it to be looked at (didn’t want to waste a day at the beach). Finally went to front desk & staff very dismissive. Said it would be 5 minutes more, etc. Just an attempted brush off. Had to get VERY assertive, finally moved us to another room. Asked for bath towels twice never received. Room keys don’t always work, gym serviceable but not what pics show. Gym keys you must get at spa and leave ID. (Bit odd). Beach serving staff AMAZING!!! Beach area very small and crowded where loungers are, so spent all our time on the sand just outside of ropes. Still a lovely view and great service.

Amazing all inclusive to stay at. The food was amazing with 3 different restaurants to eat at. Its right on the beach and the places to sit or lay are covered in shade by palm trees so you won't burn. The water is 6.5/10 not clear but not dirty, still enjoyable to swim in though. The only negaitve thing I can think of is in most other all inclusives the mini fridge has alot of alchol in it, but at this place they just put to beers in the fridge each day. 4.5/5 is what I give this place.

We have stayed at the Friendly 4 times. Before this stay we were very happy with everything. Talked with others staying here and they felt the same. It seems the hotel was way overbooked. So many people in the pools and very loud. Adult pool was not patrolled like the sign said, adults only. My wife is highly allergic to dogs and cats, dogs were allowed around the pool area barking at young kids as they passed by. Dogs on our floor barked everytime someone walked by their room. See dogs twice pee on the corners of the beds around the pool. Also seen one poop around the pool area. There was some positive things with a few of the employees. Daniel front desk, Francisco dining manager, Ignasio and Double Double. These four people went above and beyond to try and nake our stay more pleasant. Unfortunately we will stay at other resorts when we visit PV again.

Friendly Fun Vallarta had great food and drinks! The all inclusive covers just about that, entertainment is a small pool, the beach, and live music. The rooms were maintained clean, but often not well serviced from basic things like replacing shampoos, no washcloths available, and no refrigerator or microwave. The rooms very very basic. Although I would return for the food, the rooms were too basic for this price range.

Been staying at the Friendly for 20 years. Since the hotel was booked as of 3/12, I confirmed in January if I stay at the Mio, I could get a day pass, confirmed via email prior to leaving and twice when I arrived as well. I was then informed they changed their mind and are no longer providing day passes. Front desk girl even said I know I told you could get a day pass but, you cannot. I stayed there for two nights. I went back to get to get my things my group of friends was watching and security came up to me and told me to leave. No loyalty to their guests.

There was NO evening entertainment or activities. Only about 6 horribly uncomfortable chairs at the lobby bar and 2 tables. The area was cordoned off with wooden benches…clearly not for sitting but to make the area uninviting. There might have been 25 loungers around the pool, and if you wanted one, you had to get up at 0630 and put your towel on them.

We have been to Friendly Vallarta for the past several years and have always been very happy there. The waiters and service staff is the best it can be. Friendly has always been short on beach/ lounge chairs but recent changes has made the problem worse. So many lounge/ beach chairs have been removed and replaced with awkward very uncomfortable patio furniture and queen size beds. In talking to many repeat guests at Friendly this new patio furniture and awkward beds all over the place has been an epic fail. The patio furniture is just plain odd, very uncomfortable and is set in a grouping to accommodate 8 or more people but a lot of times only 2 people we sitting in these groups of furniture because nobody wanted to invade their personal space. I am sorry but the beds are just gross and now a queen size bed is taking up the space where four lounge chairs used to sit. This resort is now so short on lounge chairs that we had to get up by 6 am to reserve a pool or beach chair. Only to have 'Chair Police" hovering over our pool chairs just waiting to pull our towels and personal items off our chairs if we decided to stay too long at breakfast. A resort constantly getting bad reviews because of chair shortages has to be one of the easiest things a resort could fix. Another disappointment over the past couple of years is a very repetitive evening buffet. Please bring back the pasta/ stir fry station. And play age appropriate music around the resort, your music sucks.

Visited with spouse and friends. This all inclusive property was really nice and there were 3 pools to choose from. The beach is wonderful with nice swimming. Staff are super friendly. Rooms are simple but clean and nice and have everything you need in them. Our only cons were: no bottled water except for purchase, not very many vegetarian options at the buffets (and none at the restaurant we made reservations for), difficult to determine allergen foods at buffet. all in all it was great and we will definitely go back.
