Gorgeous Hotel - beware the hard sellPosted Feb 22, 2015
What a beautiful hotel! The staff are all very friendly and helpful, most speak English. Beware the timeshare pitch!! They will pressure you to sit through the 1 1/2 hour presentation- which lasts much longer unless you put your foot down. Plus side is you get a 15% card good for your stay. The Spa is amazing!! Try the hydro-therapy room prior to your massage. So good!

Good but no longer greatPosted Feb 19, 2015
Has become a time share priority hotel. Staff was excellent once you get past the timeshare staff.Beachfront hotel with no beach. Poolside menu changed ,used to be one of the best but have taken away many of the Mexican dishes. Resturaunts on complex average at best. Rooms are clean but no wifi and limited amenities ( had Junior Suite). Would recommend but probably best to avoid all inclusive unless you like to drink. Been coming here since 2010 and been to PV over 30 times. Villa Estancia probably better due to food and nicer beach if comparing similar hotels for price, room size and beach.

Best all inclusivePosted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Calm, relaxing environment - not loud music and parties at the pool. Great service, food and facilities.
Cons: The beach was small and rocky. Water sports were cancelled everyday we were there because of weather, but it was nice weather and small waves.
This was the best all inclusive we have stayed at. The food was excellent, not like most all inclusive resorts. Other reviewers had mentioned not liking the signature required on every slip. After staying there I assume they do this because many people stay there without the all inclusive plan, and pay for the drinks and food in the normal way. I view this as a great thing because the resort has to keep up its quality of food to compete with other restaurants. We met people who were staying for several weeks because of past great experiences they had. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had some stipulations on what was not included in the all inclusive, but they were plain and straight forward. We did not have any problems with being charged for "extras". The room was fantastic and the pools were great. They had more staff people per guest than I have seen at any other place, not just all inclusive. We had our best family vacation to date at Garza Blanca and would highly recommend it.

10 Year AnniversaryPosted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: The infinite pools are amazing. The room (Room 5082B, a Junior Suite in Tower 5 - oceanview, but not ocean front) was much bigger than we expected!
Cons: We could hear a baby in the next room each night. Not the hotel's fault, expect for maybe a little more padding in the connecting door... or earplugs
Location: The location was outside the touristy area of downtown... a $10 cab ride. To me, the location was perfect for relaxing, but still being close enough.
My wife and I stayed from Feb. 7-12, 2015. This was our 10 year anniversary trip and was unbelievably romantic. The weather was near perfect the entire time. There was definitely some street noise from our tower (Tower 5), but we could also here the ocean as we relaxed in the hammock on the balcony. The towers are not ocean front, but they have trams that run very frequently – we never had to wait but for a few minutes. The towers were actually better in my opinion. We highly recommend this place and met a number of couples that have already been return visitors.

PV ParadisePosted Feb 16, 2015
Cons: Elevator in Tower 4 was a little unreliable...
Location: No need to leave the resort... But, bar hopping in PV was fun!
Garza Blanca was fantastic... From the greeting when we arrived, to the incredible accommodations, to the unending ocean views, to the gourmet all-inclusive meals, to the infinity pools... We're already planning a trip back!

Unbelievable ViewsPosted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: Our mini suite was extremely large and the balcany itself was over 300 square feet.
Cons: The quality of food was no where near worth what they charged. Portions where a la cart and quite small. We found restuarants in town a far better.
Location: Tony's restuarant is a real treat, we went twice.
The hotel and it's rooms are fantastic, our view was basically the whole bay of Puerto Vallarta. The layout of everything was done to perfection and alot of thought to ensure best site lines for everything. The lack of free Internet service and better selection for breakfasts smorg's needs to be addressed before we would return here, even though the room and view rated near our all time best ever.

beautiful hotelPosted Feb 11, 2015
Pros: Everything just about
Cons: The piped music around the pool areas gets a little repetitious
Location: Just 8 km from old Vallarta an easy bus or taxi ride.
Excellent in all ways, except poor wireless with Skype impossible but emails/webpages slow. Otherwise excellent from management and downwards. Restaurant are great and the view from balconies outstanding

Memorable AnniversaryPosted Feb 10, 2015
Cons: It might be nice to have some low key entertainment, perhaps once a week.
Location: Close to Mismaloya, we rented a panga boat for a very reasonable fee. Thus, we were able to snorkel and tour the sounth end of the bay. Perfect!
From the moment we entered the lobby, we were greeted with warmth and champagne. Each staff member took the time to learn our names, and to remember our preferences in food and drinks. The room in tower 5 provided a breathtaking view of both the bay and the jungle. The floor, the fixtures and the bed sparkled with immaculate housekeeping each day. Taking advantage of the activities, we explored wine and tequila tasting, Mexican cooking, and a challenging, but rewarding jungle hike . After exercising in the fabulous Moussai gym, the bliss was complete with a dip in the beautiful pools and a Margarita in the lounge chairs. Each meal was prepared with style and attention to our tastes. We will return!

Some sun during a Philly winterPosted Feb 8, 2015
Pros: facilities, pools
Cons: wi fi, bars open when guests need them
Location: Bus in to town, lots of tours to take
Fabulous facilities, restaurants nice. Let down by a hard sell on arrival to attend a time share type sales event, $10 per day per device for wi fi - and the bars closed so early. The pool bar closed one day because of rain even though people were there to drink - had to walk to a restaurant in bathers to order a drink
