Pros: The service was great felt very pampered
Cons: Food.... but there is some tasty things we did try
Location: The location was nice, only bad thing was all the golf cart rides down to the main floor and how much construction was going on by 4 tower we stayed .
We were there from May 21st to the 26th. It was a beautiful place, the people was lovely I was sick 2 of the days due to a intestine infection I seemed to pick up, I was so sick we called down and next thing we know a doctor was sent up to see me. They were on top of it Don't know even today how I contracted that I was fine then poof sick but I was taken care of and I couldn't have been more pleased even the price was right The sunset was great Fireworks, Watched it from my room ( sick )

Pros: The ambience, comfort and beauty!
Cons: Could have used a larger balcony. We had a junior suite. Next time one bedroom suite, which comes with larger balcony. Can't wait!!
Location: Good location. City and most restaurants patronize were 100 pesos ($10.00 US) by taxi. Local bus across the street.
One of my best experiences. Total relaxation and enjoyment!!

Great Hotel for Couples & Newly Weds
Posted Jan 27, 2013
Pros: Pool, restaurants , Rooms
Cons: None
Location: Perfect away from the hustle & bustle of the Old Town Vallarta...
Hotel is beautiful and clean excellent service too ...I would recomend going to a one bedroom suite Vs. the Jr suite room if travelling with a family and getting the full kitchen & dinning area... restaurants are great and the poolside patio dining has great Ceviche,,,, Very quite hotel and very classy & VIP ... Take the bus into town though Vs a cab it's only a $1.40 per couple Vs. $10.00 cab ride each way...They come very frequently and go through 10:00pm at night..

Mixed feelings
Posted Jan 26, 2013
Pros: view, beach, pool
Cons: housekeeping sometimes coming into our room in the middle of the day
Location: beautiful, on the verge of remote
Overall, we enjoyed this hotel. The grounds and views are beautiful, staff in general are very helpful, kind and accommodating. Food on site was quite good, breakfast and lunch were delicious and reasonably priced, dinner was on the higher resort price point. All quite standard. However, there were a couple of issues with our stay. One, it's a ways out of town, 20 minutes into the Zona Romantica and Malecon. You will be taking a lot of taxis, or riding the bus (which is great!) if you stay here. If we had to do it again, we might rent a car for a couple of days. Two, the in room coffee, is a one time deal, unless you want to pay for 5 dollars for refills. They do offer coffee in the lobby in the mornings, but no one informed us of this fact, until we inquired about the in room coffee charge one day. Would've been good to know. Three, the room we booked through Expedia, was not available due to construction. However, no one informed us of this and they initially downgraded us to a smaller room. When we were taken to the room, the change was obvious, and we had the bell man call the front desk. Eventually, they upgraded us to a bigger room, which was fantastic. Four, they will ask you to go to a time share presentation. Which was a bit surprising at a 5 star resort. We agreed to the 1.5 hours presentation. It turned out to be 4 HOURS out of our day, and it was hell trying to get out of there without being impolite. Mixed bag for sure.

Nice property .The rates are too high the service
Posted Jan 20, 2013
Pros: the view
Cons: the service
Location: nothing much close by - had to drie 30 mins to 45 mins for everything
The room service was bad - we were not informed about the tips already included in the bill and had to remind them several times about the discount . The discount wasnt applied many times . The staff are not well informed about taxi services and distance. Food quality was poor . They wasted hrs of our vacation time about their time share options and tried to pin us down to it very aggressive . charged us too much for transportation from airport to hotel .

Pros: Rooom was detailed and organized and roomy.
Cons: The shower head, there's should be an option.
Location: The location is great, needs to get rid some of the old trees and re plant with new ones so that it's more like a world class resort.
My wife and I had a one week vacation and picked Mexico Puerto Vallarta to go to. The Hotel was excellent , the staff was nice . My wife love the place and doen't want to leave.

LOVED IT! and I'm a resort snob :)
Posted Jan 27, 2013
Pros: White sand beach, amazing accommodations, value
Cons: service is a tad slow in the restaurants
Location: I loved being out of the congested city but only 10 min. drive for dinner and shopping when we wanted to go out. Beach was perect!
I work in luxury hotels and have traveled extensively and work daily in an upscale resort and considered quite the snob by most of my friends with my hotel expectations. We had booked a "Honeymoon" Jr. Suite. Amazing rooms, gorgeous bathrooms, very spacious, killer corner location and a private Jacuzzi. Ocean front and seriously for 2 it was perfect. We did request a move after the first night as the suite that we had been placed in was on the 1st floor and overlooked the main pool so really limited privacy. They took care of the move very efficiently and we ended up on the 6th floor on the opposite side of the building looking at total ocean views. We eat and drank quite a bit, the pool service is excellent, the menu friendly and full of Mexican favorites. Dinner we eat at the steak house one night – amazing setting, view was breathtaking, service not good and food was just OK. We did venture into town + it’s a fast and easy ride – a fast and cheap $8 US. We had spa treatments, priced at US luxury resort pricing so expensive but the facilities are limited and the treatment was only OK. The bill at check was quite surprisingly low for 5 nights – excellent value for all we enjoyed. Shout out to Victor the bellman – he welcomed us, ensured our room move was done swiftly and efficiently, help arrange transportation. He's a prize + really made out visit more personalized and more enjoyable with his kind smile and care.

Amazing Property!
Posted Jan 25, 2013
Pros: Rooms and views
Cons: the long trek back to the room in the towers an dthe spotty service
Location: The location, while a bit removed from everything, is absolutely stunning. You can virtually look in any direction and be in awe.
This place is off the charts! The views, the accommodations, the location, the food. are all amazing. I have stayed at 5 star properties all over the world and the rooms, the suites and the penthouses at Garza Blanca Preserve are as nice as I have ever seen..The steak I had at the Bocca Restaurant is the best I've ever had anywhere. The Blanca Blue Restaurant is also an amazing restaurant with incredible Ocean Side ambience! This resort gets only one small blemish on my scorecard, and that is inconsistent service. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, it's just not 5 star. At a 5 star resort, I do not expect to track the waiter down to get another drink or sit around for 15 minutes to try to get the waiters attention to get my check. Many times the service was excellent, but there were too many instances throughout the week where we were waiting on someone for something, an dthey really need to improve in this area. Be warned that if you stay in the Towers as opposed to the beach side accommodations, that it's a bit of a hassle getting to your room. It involves a little walking, and a golf cart ride. However, the views, the serenity, and the overall quality of the towers make it worth it. After a day or so, we really didn't mind the little bit of extra hassle. Overall, this is an amazing property, and I would return in a heartbeat.
