nice resort but....

Pros: pretty resort, nice foliage. nice pools, also an adults only pool which gives the option of getting away from the kids activities and associated noise
Cons: phone numbers and restaurant info needs to be posted in the rooms.
Location: too far from puerto vallarta
did not get the room we reserved and paid for, a LOT of walking,inclines, and steps. no elevators. only way to find out which restaurants are open on which nights is to walk out to the conceirge desk, phone extensions are not posted in the rooms. also the website does not tell you that men need to have long pants for some of the restaurants. also, it is not well communicated that some events, i.e. the bbq on the beach needs reservations which also have to be made in the lobby early the morning of the event. i'm all for recycling and conservation but the key card system that controls the lights and air is to be removed each time you leave the room (its also your room key). they do spot checks and if they find you have left one card in the system while not there they take the card. air takes a while to catch up and towels, swim suits don't ever dry out.

La playa bonita el hotel viejo y meseros nefastos, es un hotel grande con mucho ruido... No lo recomiendo, bebidas de pésima calidad, meseros atienden primero a extranjeros (eso se llama discriminacion) no dan ganas de regresar ni recomendar este hotel

It is beautiful and relaxing. The food was delicious and we loved the choice of evening restaurants. We look forward to returning in the near future.

Super Vacation

This is our second stay there. We were in 2012 with our first child (2 years old back then) and loved it. Now for the first vacation with a new baby - the choice was a no brainer. We've been visiting PV for years and so far this hotel somehow proves best for vacation experience with children. The new children pool is great mini park amusement. The Kids club is open daily for babies (till 5PM), toddlers and bigger kids (till 11PM). They keep them busy with a lot of activities, projects and so on. Gaby/Keren and the rest are just great - my daughter (4) did not want to leave the club to go to the beach:) The food is adequate - we were only on the buffet - plenty and thank you, Isabelle for the crapes. The small zoo is adorable - little rabbits, monkeys, parrots, peacocks, dears..what else? The nightly shows are presented by POP - the ensemble is good and also they are kids games prior to the show. We forgot our "ducky" blanket lovey toy upon check out - so far the staff is searching for it and show their concern. Will see.. Bottom line: very, very nice - and if you have kids - go there.

Long ride from airport Very confusing to find your way around resort, need more signage Lots of stairs and no elevators Need to have air conditioner running in room at all times, not just when you are in the room with the doors closed Anything containing beef for food was terrible Presentation of food in buffet was not good Vegetables were very good

Your remarks are very much appreciated as they help us to improve our service and our product Regards your comment about air conditioning on the room, let me explain you that our hotel is certificated with an environmental program called “Earth Check” that means we need to follow some standards about several items like recycling, support community, energy control, water… the majority of them are explained to our guest on different parts of the hotel and in our internal environmental channel. One of our main goals is to reduce the energy that we use in the hotel. We try to have all our room temperature to 22 grades minimum. The international standard shows that a temperature comfort in a room is 24 grades. Nevertheless we understand that in the area of the hotel there are humidity and hot and it is that because we program all thermostats to 22 maximum. Once again thank you for your feedback

Mucho por hacer y mejorar: Increíble para GP.

Poco amables con el huesped. Desde la llegada, la fila para el check in es enorme, es cierto, es temporada alta. Sin embargo, estaría de acuerdo en hacer fila sólo una vez, pero no es así. Si se tiene la poca fortuna de llegar antes de las 15:00hrs -hora de acceso a las habitaciones- se hace fila para el check in y la misma fila para la entrega de llaves!!! Hay que utilizar los avances tecnológicos, no lo creen señores de Grand Palladium? A la mañana siguiente, hora del desayuno, había tanta gente que no hubo mesas o sillas suficientes para sentarse a tomar el desayuno. Por cierto, lo hice parado en la barra de bebidas. Si la capacidad del hotel se ve rebasada, deberían tener un plan de acción inmediato: abrir otros espacios, tan simple como eso. Puntos buenos del hotel: el área destinada a los adultos es bastante agradable y su personal muy atento. Siento mucho tener que opinar así sobre el tema, pero quedarse callado evita que el hotel tome medidas. De mi lado, no vuelvo a la cadena Grand Palladium.

Como usted dice, todos los comentarios nos ayudan a ver en qué estamos fallando para mejorar nuestros servicios e instalaciones. Respecto a sus comentarios sobre nuestros centros de consumo, efectivamente sabemos que es temporada alta y como tal abrimos otro restaurante para desayunar en esta época. Lamento que no tuviera esta información para poder dirigirse al otro centro de consumo y que el personal del restaurante no le hubiera informado sobre el mismo. Analizaremos sus comentarios para evitar que estas situaciones le pasen a futuros huéspedes. Respecto a la fila para el check in, entiendo que no le dieron la habitación porque aún no estaba lista pero le dieron ya el brazalete para poder disfrutar de todas las instalaciones en el momento de la llegada y no tener que esperar a tener las habitaciones. No solemos dar llaves de habitaciones a huéspedes si estas no están listas obviamente y esa es la razón de solicitar a nuestros clientes que vuelvan a pasar por la recepción. Lamentamos el inconveniente de tener que hacer fila dos veces, aunque entiendo que no es un tema de tecnología si no que la explicación es la que le comento. Nuevamente le agradezco todos sus comentarios que nos ayudan a mejorar nuestros servicios e instalaciones. Atentamente Ana Castro

Hotel de autoservicio

Me sorprendió llegar a este lugar donde hay tan pocos meseros que es mas practico pararte a la barra y pedir el café. En la alberca no hay servicio de comida, el tema de las bebidas es de autoservicio, cada quien se para y pide su bebida en la estación de bebidas. Yo lo defino como un lindo hotel de autoservicio, pero no es un resort, tenga en cuenta que nadie le sirve nada, pero el hotel esta limpio y con mucha vegetación que lo hace ideal para el descanso. La comida es buena, la playa muy rica y limpia. Las albercas limpias pero frías, y tienen una alberca con tobogán para niños muy buena.
