First time to Nueva Vallarta

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: 5 star Service. Huge Ocean view suite to watch sunsets. Excellent AC. Close to airport. Great food.
Cons: They do push excursions and lots of local vendors selling time-shares, etc on beach. Beach is a bit small. Not good for jogging.
Location: Not much except Paradise Villages is nice for a break for more businesses and more people. Long ride to PV. Most guests stayed put. Shopping NOT good
Definitely 5 star hotel. Had only one bad meal in 5 days (meat tough) and rest was 4 star or better for an all inclusive. Pretty quiet in October. Estimate only 10% of hotel filled. Tons of staff. Not much night life in NV so if that's what you are looking for stay away. Drinks and wine Very good. Room service outstanding. KEEP MONEY AND VALUABLES LOCKED UP in room safe and do not leave items unattended at pool. Bring your own suntan lotions , American magazines. Very close to airport (15 Min) and 20 minute walk to Paradise Villages with Casino, laundromat, Starbucks , McDonalds, Dominoes, Subway, and stores.

Great vacation without the kids

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, great pool right on the beach, clean hotel with great views from the room.
Cons: Sheets could be a bit softer.
This was our first extended trip without the kids. The staff was fantastic and we had a great time. Great location right on the beach. The food at Lucca was surprisingly good -- Frida and Piaff were okay but nothing to get excited about. We definitely will return, and looking forward to visiting the sister property located in Riviera Maya!

Beautiful hotel with huge rooms!

We had our first trip to Grand Velas with our 2 year old daughter. The hotel was amazing and a great spot for families. It was a bit quiet when we were there as didnt know it was the end of rainy season, but made it even more relaxing.

From the second we arrived to the moment we left the staff at the Grand Velas was fabulous! They wait on you hand and foot and tend to your every need. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the view from any room is breath-taking. Definitely will return here next year!
