Real 5 star expirience

Posted Apr 17, 2014
From the time we drove up to the resort all the staff were helpful and polite. While waiting to be checked in we recieved a complimentary massage. We stayed in the regular suite but were impressed by the amentities. Fridge was always stocked and room service was great. Food on resort was great as well. Location of resort was not to far from town either, if you plan to ever leave.

A Trip To Paradise

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: No suggestions.
Location: There were so many options, that we are confident you will be satisfied.
Grand Velas has everything we were looking for in a vacation. The rooms had beautiful views, the staff was friendly and very attentive, the food was outstanding. If you want to vacation at a place that has everything look no further, Grand Velas is the place.

Great Service

Pros: Service was awesome! Beautiful location and facilities. Great shows and events.
Cons: Wish that hotels did not try to get you to talk about time shares.. lots of pressure at the airport to meet to get the presentation.
Location: Go zip lining for sure - Canopy River was awesome. Also Las Caletas is super cool and the dinner and Rythm of the Night is an beatuiful experience.
Grand Velas is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. Food and drinks are much better than most all inclusives. Overall very pleased with visit and would definitley go to the hotel again. They do a great job with events and shows here. Our first night we went to a pirate show my 8 year old son completley loved! They even had the kids dig for treasure in the sand and each kid got a bag of chocolate coins from the treasure chesk they found.

Outstanding service! Fabulous food!

Location: Long beach to walk/run on... But the water was rough when we were there... So that limited water play.
They truly want you to be happy and to feel special!

Paradise Found.

Posted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Service, food, weather, drinks well made and fast. Room service.
Cons: Very little. Typically when traveling with a group the manager will introduce themselves. That did not happen.
Location: We golfed Vista Vallarta - Good but not great courses. About 30 minute drive. Walked the beach each morning - amazing. Malecon and dinner in town.
My wife an I were traveling with 12 couples. I book several trips per year to a variety of destinations. This time we visited another resort with 2 of the couples first and it was so nice I was concerned they weren't going to want to leave to come here. It instantly changed upon arrival. We were brought outback and sat in comfortable chairs and offered a complimentary neck/shooulder massage (we ended up booking 3 massages later). We had Master Class Suites, and they bumped my wife and I to a Governor's Suite. Would have rathered stay in Master Suite as by the rest of the group, and we had no need for 2nd bedroom, but it was beautiful. Pool side service over the top. Unbelievably quick at the poolside bar with drinks. Love how the beer was all in cans, so need to wait for a pour in warm plastic cup. All 3 restaurants were fantastic. Lucca - Shrimp Risotto unbelievable. Frida - The scallops appetizer was off the charts good. Piaf - the escargot was absolutely perfect. You can walk for miles on the beach either direction. Not a lot of night life and only real issue any one in group complained about was they had large Edward Jones group down - people were very nice, but several events right in front of our ocean front suites, so the worst kind of noise - party that you aren't part of. We will stay here again soon. Just couldn't change much.

Amazing resort!

Posted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: We loved everything about this hotel!
Cons: Heat the pools - in the morning they were often a little too cool to be comfortable.
From the second we arrived at the Grand Velas, we were treated like royalty. The staff are helpful and very friendly - and went out of their way to cater to our 4-year-old twins. Our suite was extremely clean and the mini-fridge and snack bar were always well-stocked with a great variety of choices. Our girls loved the kids club, especially when they had night-time movies in the large conference room. The three pools were wonderful and the kids pool was a nice depth (about waist-deep). There were always spots around the pool and the pool staff always willing to move loungers, tables and umbrellas to accommodate your needs. The beach area is well-maintained and we were never bothered by sales-people. We will definitely be returning!
