Great beach and staff.

Service was excellent! Food was average for all inclusive it could use more healthy options. Rooms are noisy. One easy fix would be to turn off the elevator bell. We were 2 rooms away and heard the bell around the clock. Great location and nice beach. They need to purchase more boogie boards. They only have 5 and they were always in demand. Another easy fix.

Nice hotel with a nice beach. Good food. The Mexican dinner place, Frida is good. About 40 mins from town and puerto vallarta itself but in a nice quiet location. Taxi from airport is 150 pesos. There is a small casino across the street. Nice hotel but it is not cheap.

Resort digne de la classe 5 étoiles

Pros: Location (direct sur plage,...). Propreté des lieux.
Cons: En général, la nourriture mérite d'etre amélioré, elle ne peut pas etre classée dans les 5 étoiles (3,5 ou au mieux 4 a présent !).
Location: Il n'y a pas grande chose dans cette zone des hotels et resorts.
La formule all inclusive de Hard Rock est beaucoup mieux que les autres all inclusive standard des autres resorts. A Hard Rock le mot All inclusive signifie vraiment Tout est propre et bien entretenu. Un petit bémol :la nourriture de certains restos reste a améliorer.

mediocre, old hotel in new expensive format

Pros: Happy to find only a couple of false charges on bill, which were reversed. Mediocre music cut off at 9 or 10 pm. Construction noise only in daytime.
Cons: Seriously? How about delivering a better product for the money?
Location: Beach was a bit muddy, poor surf. Little plastic belly boards were worn out, only 3 available. Long ride in back of open truck to get to cable slide.
Food was mediocre in buffet, except for a few breakfast items. Way over-priced for the quality of spread and menu offerings. Drinks were tasted watered down, even the draft beer was so-so. Soft drinks were all Pepsi branded, lower shelf stuff. Could have stayed at Four Seasons or Hyatt for this kind of money, and enjoyed way better rooms and food. Entertainment was almost embarassing. Enthusiastic, but on par with high school review. Half of shaded lounge chairs were reserved for VIP guests, which meant time-share members not Hard Rock VIP paid members. Free calls to the States. Big deal. My cell does the same. Free wifi - too bad the internet connection was so poor. Did better sharing 3G from my cell phone. About the same level as Riu all included, at double the price. Built 20 years ago, changed to Hard Rock Hotel two years ago. So-called credits offered required 20% payment in cash, still overpriced. Jacuzzi tub in room was almost 10 inches deep at the water line. One let-down after another.

Serial Truth Stretchers if not Outright Liars

Pros: Beach, music vibe, location
Cons: Service, rooms (why use up all of that space for a 2 person Jacuzzi tub), figure out another economic model than the scammy and slimy "resort dollars"
Location: Good location near other hotels, a little mall, a casino and easy in and out. Maybe 15 minutes from the airport.
Watch our for the "hostesses" - ours was Lucy. Though she claimed to be a concierge, she's really a representative of the hotel trying to sell timeshares and upsell you on activities. She also introduced us to our "resort credits", which seem useful but actually they are a vehicle to buy very very overpriced stuff with "funny money" and then pay a 20% fee on top ot that with real green money. Also FYI the credits you earn if you sit through the timeshare presentation also have a 20% fee on top of them. An example of the absurdity: House wine is undrinkable; mediocre cabernet in the restaurant is $240 in "resort dollars" plus $48 in real money. In a liquor store it is a $20 bottle of wine. Making things worse, when you try to book things, they are full or overbooked, and the coup de grace - Lucy blames the people in the hotel who really do the work - those who really book the fishing, zip lines, jet skiing, surf lessons, golf, scuba, etc. I would also add that the front desk staff - other than "Ardain" and a manager named "J Carlos" had a high propensity to overpromise and under deliver on many, many things. Here's the bottom line - this is a pretty good property, the food is ok, the beach nice, the vibe fun - but the service is absolutely atrocious and could be raised from an F to a C with so very little effort that it's frustrating. You're better than this Hard Rock Puerto Vallarta staff and management!! Make even a minimal effort and you'll kick butt!

Vacaciones sorprendentes

Pros: Principalmente la amplia capacidad de atender de manera personalizada la cena en los diferentes restaurantes de especialidades sin limitaciones
Cons: La imagen del hotel y el mantenimiento
Location: Las diferentes áreas de descanso y diversión son muy adecuadas
Sin llegar a lujos extremos, el Hard Rock se enfoca principalmente en lograr que la estancia sea confortable y agradable no solo para los amantes del Rock, aunque se tiene la posibilidad de escuchar éste genero musical en sus diferentes espacios temáticos. Muy agradable hotel.

Cons: Solamente que pudiera haber un espejo fuera del baño, frente al escritorio, yo suelo peinarme afuera mientras mi marido y después mi hijo se bañan.
Location: La verdad es que fuimos en plan de descanso, decidimos no salir del hotel en esta ocasión.
La pasamos estupendo. Es un hotel que te brinda a diario muchas actividades divertidas, el personal (TODOS) son de lo más agradables, las comidas muy buenas también. Por supuesto que el resultado es que en cuanto podamos regresar, lo haremos!!! Y repito, la atención, disposición y amabilidad del personal nos pareció única, felicidades por ello. Se llevaron un 100 todos ellos y ellas. Lorena
