Mexican HotelPosted Aug 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
The beds may be a little too hard for you at this hotel. Make sure you get Matrimonial beds (instead of twin size beds). Staff was awesome. Pool on roof was nice and so was the cafe/restaurant. AC could have been a bit colder. For so a cheap rate, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Bad servicePosted Jul 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
We arrived to the hotel and the guy at the reception only spoke Spanish. Didn't attempt to speak any English. He asked for a 200Peso deposit. The room was basic and some stains on the sheets. The TV was missing and they guy that showed us to the room said that they would bring one later. The maid came the next morning and we asked her to come back later. She never came again for the whole 3 days of the stay. We had to take our own towels from the cart outside the room. Also the reception that is supposed to be 24 hours was not manned at night. Anybody could wander into the hotel from the street. The only plus was the restaurant that has great service and good food/drinks. When we checked out we had to ask for our deposit back, it seemed they were not going to give it unless we asked!

Great LocationPosted Feb 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was great location, very close to everything. It's a bit noisy but it didn't bother us at all. The staff was great and a great pool on the roof of the hotel.

Budget friendly and comfortable!Posted Jan 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Encino was a pleasant stay right in the heart of PV. This traditional Mexican hotel provided us with great service, cleanliness, and delicious food. The rooftop pool was an added bonus where my husband and I enjoyed the relaxing peaceful lounging area. This budget friendly hotel will definitely be worth another visit in the future. Thank you Encino staff!

old world hotelPosted Apr 4, 2013
Pros: Being a Mexican Hotel and it's location
Cons: the washroom
Location: near everything
This was our second stay at the Hotel Encino so we knew what to expect. It's well located, a block off the Malecon, lots of shops and tourist things to do if you wish. The hotel is what we call a very local hotel, which to us is what we come to Mexico for, there are large fancy hotels we can stay in at home. The people are friendly, accommodating and willing to help in any way they can. As well there are some really good restauarants nearby. You will find a roof top swimming pool, a great place to lay about and sun as well. Yes We would reccommend it, just remember if your looking for the Hilton, this isn't for you.
