I return 2 timesPosted May 11, 2014
Pros: The position in the zona romantica and the staff there.
Cons: Couple rooms with windows so the noise level will be lower in some part of the hotel.
Location: Plenty of restaurants, boutiques, gay and straight bars.. Access internet everywhere around.
Nice little hotel. That was correct. I went 2 times. Its clean, the staff is nice and always ready to help. One tme, i asked to change room because I was close to the street where its more noisy and they were very helpfull to do it. So, like I said sometimes, in the morning, ita a little bit noisy because the buses but after 2 days I didn't hear them anymore. I recommand it.

Old Mexican hotel, but I loved the feel of it -Posted Mar 28, 2014
Pros: The old Mexican feel, and the cleanliness- it was outstanding.
Cons: A nightstand would have been nice, with a lamp - but there were many other lights.
Location: Very close to the beach - only 4 blocks, and many restaurants and bars close by.
The heavy wood, tiles etc. make this a great experience. The area is quite noisy, but you get used to it, after one night. The rooms are basic, but very clean, with airconditioning and a fan. The staff were fantastic, and very helpful, and spoke excellent English. I will definitely stay there again, as it was very safe, and very quiet in the hotel itself.

Staff is EverythingPosted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: respectful staff
Cons: phone service from room to front desk,
Location: Hernandez taco stand on the corner and Fonda Flora kept our bellies very reasonably happy Avoid the nearest oxxo.
This hotel has everything to meet your needs. Our room booked through expedia was way too small for 2 adults for 2 week stay, so, for a small upgrade fee we got a nice sizable room. The hotel itself is an interesting structure with great views and has a continuous natural breeze flowing throughout which makes for a very comfortable atmosphere. The pool is awesome. It is the staff that is the pulse of this accommodation. Front desk associates and management team, Marco - Leticia- Fernandez - Louis and night security, I believe is Vincent? Are always happy to accommodate ones needs and Kudos to our housekeeper, Rosey and maintenance Alreto. They're like efficient church mice, never in the way and always an encouraging smile with verbal greetings. This staff works hard folks and deserve a great deal of appreciation. The hotel is in a great location for near amenities. Little gem of a beer store Joanna and Sayra treat customers with healthy respect, almost as if working in harmony with Hacienda Vallarta. I don't want to give our room number, simply out of selfishness, I want this particular room available for my next visit and for those that I recommend. Way to go staff. I hope that mentioning staff names are not noted as a 'personal detail'. Again, Staff is Everything. Thanks for your friendship and respect.

Affordable hotel right downtownPosted Mar 1, 2014
Affordable place to stay if you want to be in the hub of things. The room was extremely noisy, but if I went again I'd stay on an inside room. Bed and bathroom were clean. Staff was friendly. Sleeping was an issue due to the buses going by every 5 minutes, but really for the price, who can complain much.

The Bare Essentials, Minus WaterPosted Feb 26, 2014
We stayed at the Hotel Hacienda de Vallarta Centro for 3 nights in February. The room was very clean when we arrived, but the daily cleaning service was less than optimal. The front staff spoke english very well and the pool and terraces were nice facilities for the price. One somewhat major problem was the lack of filtered water. The hotel has a water cooler to fill up water jugs provided in-room, but the water cooler was empty for a whole day and a half during our stay.

A place to crash at the end of the dayPosted Feb 15, 2014
It's just a place to crash at the end of the day. It's in the middle of downtown , so lots of night life in walking distance

No frills, great valuePosted Jan 30, 2014
Pros: Price, location
Cons: better blinds and noise control (i.e. windows)
Location: If you like the Romantic Zone, everything is near by!!
I have stayed here a few times. It is a typical older Mexican hotel. The location is great, but the traffic can be a little noisy in the morning. You will not find a better value!!

Noisiest Hotel I Have Ever Stayed at!!Posted Jan 24, 2014
Pros: Location in Old Town Vallarta
Cons: Install an elevator, soundproof rooms, repair cracks around windows, install better locks and security devices.
The hotel is economical. However, it has no elevator and has at least 5 floors of steep steps if you are unfortunate enough to be assigned a room on the top floor. The location in "Old Town" Vallarta is a plus. However, it is located on the busiest street in Vallarta with buses, trucks, street sweepers, and trucks with loud music all night long. There is no sound proofing. In fact, there are spaces several inches thick in the window frames that let all the noise enter unobstructed. The whole building shook from the heavy trucks and buses with loud mufflers and air brakes.
