Beautiful hotel

Posted May 9, 2015
Everything about this hotel is beautiful: the rooms, the view, the decor, the art. The pool is especially wonderful and may possibly be the highlight. The staff were super friendly and helpful. One piece of advice though, call ahead and let them know if you need to arrive late.

Hidden treasure---gorgeous setting and great staff

Spent only one night on our way to Sayulita---sad to not be able to spend more time. Wonderful hidden treasure of a hotel for people seeking an intimate and unique experience.

Wonderful respite from the crowds!

Posted Apr 11, 2015
My friend and I stayed here recently for a few days and we can't say enough about it. Beautiful little hotel, colors and artwork that made it classy, and such a nice place to retreat to after a day on the beaches or the malecon. We liked our rooms and there's quite a variety in the hotel depending on your group size. The breakfast was at an outdoor table looking over all of PV, and there's a rooftop with mini pool and lounge chairs to relax. It's a steep 6-7 blocks up from the water, so factor that in, but the result is an amazing view and a quiet location.

Great location and service

Posted Mar 26, 2015
The staff at Luna Liquida was so helpful both before and during our stay. Our room was lovely and the rooftop/pool were fabulous. We were able to park under the building which was a great advantage. Location is up the hill from the busyness of Zona Romantica and the Malecon. Great vistas. Quiet and restful. The walk on the cobblestones and uneven streets could be challenging for some people in addition to the walk back up the hill but we enjoyed it and knew we could easily catch a cab if it got dark or we got tired. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Make the office jealous

Posted Mar 20, 2015 on Hotels
Last time I tried to write a positive review that was rejected but I had written too much! So w/that being said lets get started. This hotel is perfect for the ones who are looking for something different which will both relax you and make you feel very lucky to be alive(yes I said it). I'm a 25yr old fella who felt this way with every time I looked outside at the ocean from the rooftop pool. It had a breathtaking view that my girlfriend couldn't help but hug me after she saw the view. She felt like she was living a dream. It was a view that made you think you were living the life you always hoped for when you are working those long hours in the office. We spent most of our time exploring the city, eating at restaurants, on the beach. But we did spend a whole day in the Luna Liquida just to relax, and we didn't feel like it was a day wasted at all. Keep in mind this isn't your usual hotel stay. The staff was excellent, they were very helpful in giving us recommendations directions, meeting our needs to upgrade when we asked to. Overall I couldn't think of a single thing I was disappointed with. They offered breakfast in the morning, most of the time you'll be served out on the patio with one of the best views of my life was there. If you want relaxing this is the spot for you. Your friends will be jealous of your trip.

Great view from pool

Posted Mar 18, 2015 on Hotels
Great place, good internet. Great city view from rooftop pool. You could tell the cleaning staff was really committed to making you have a pleasant stay. The reception was only open during office hours. It's like 4 uphill blocks from the beach/malecon. Downhill is no problem, you can walk uphill or take a cab which is 40 pesos ( like 3 USD ). Would stay here again. As a note, their concept of rooms is a bit different, they rent out the rooms inside appartments so you might share the kitchen with others. We had an appartment to ourselves so it was ok but you might want to check that.

Thank you for expressing your opinion. Our property is a very unique place, is not like the "normal" hotels due it used to be a house, but there is full of details that will make your stay memorable. Thank you for staying with us, hopefully we can host you once again.

Great view and awesome staff

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: The staff, the view, the other guests, great fruit and pastry on the terrace every morning.
Cons: nothing can be improved. I loved everything about the hotel
Location: Puerto Vallarta is a great city. This hotel is located in the central area of town so everthing is just a short cab ride. Several good resturants.
We stayed at Luna Liquida for a week in February, 2015. First let me say as the other reviews have said the hill is extremely steep. But nothing a small taxi ride cannot handle. That is the only drawback to this hotel. Every person on the staff is friendly and helpful even with some language barrier we were able to stumble thru, I was in Mexico after all so I didnt expect an all english speaking staff. This was not a draw back, this was just a bit of flavor. The view is un-touchable. Simply awe inspiring.

A fabulous find for a boutique home away from home

Posted Mar 8, 2015 on Hotels
This was a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a unique, boutique hotel experience that feels like a home away from home. If you are wiling to handle the intense hills/steps, you will be rewarded by stunning views, fresh and airy and funky rooms and common areas replete with whitewashed walls and bold accent colors, and a helpful and friendly staff. This is not the place for you if you want easy, on site access to food and drink (other than breakfast and beer and water by the pool) or are looking for a traditional PV party scene -- it's your respite from all of that!

Loved this place

Posted Mar 6, 2015 on Hotels
I can not begin to say how much I loved, yes loved this place. The pictures do not do the place justice. It is true that the steep hills make it difficult to get around but I solved that with a taxi. For 50 pesos ($3.50) you can get nearly anywhere. The staff is really wonderful and accommodating, anything you wish for they will get for you. This is authentic boutique stay.
