“Will be going back again next year.”
This is a great place to go and visit. I have been there three times and plan to go back and visit again. They make you fill at home. Over the years the staff remember our group and welcome us.
“OK for the price”
Over all the hotel was great. We went in October and there were many families with small children. The pool that was only supposed to be for those 18 older was over run by families with small children. There's a nice activity pool and children's area on the other side, but the kids were all over, including the adult-only pool. It would have been nice if the hotel enforced the 18 and older rule during off season. Otherwise the food was great and service descent.
“marival”
The resort was great. The beach & mountains exquisite. We really enjoyed all of the resterants & bars. We also had a great time on the pirate boat excursion.
“Will go back to Marival again.”
Wonderful place for a vacation whether its family or just for 2 adults. Excellent food with such a variety of restaurants. So much food to pick from, can't go hungry. All the personnel were very friendly. No one can ever be bored. So many activities for all, but plenty of resting time if needed.
“is ok!!! not the greates but is good”
The hotel is nice and big enough. It has great entertaiment for adults and kids,,,its a great place for families to take a vacation.!!!
“Front Desk Service and Buffet Food need to improve...”
The front desk service was not the best, there seemed to be confusion when giving us the keys to my parents room (we booked two rooms). When they gave us the keys the gave us the keys to the room assigned to me, I was concerned they would have extra sets of keys and would randomly hand them out, given we had already checked in hours before my parents received their key. We were eventually able to get a room for my parents. They later also called in to request an ash tray and no one ever brought it to them even though the repeatedly said it was on its way. The food at the buffet (Casa Bella) was not good either. The other places to eat were okay, I think the restaurants (with reservation) were the best, especially the italian one! I also didn't like the presistance on some staff members on wantings us to go on a tour and become a member, I was there to rest not take tours and they seemed to get upset when we would decline. Other than those minor issues, we had a nice time. The pools are well kept and they do have an adult pool, no kids allowed. Very family oriented. I may consider coming back but would like to try other resorts first. Still a good hotel to keep in mind, just watch the buffet food. They have night entertainment, we liked that. I think I would have rated this hotel higher had the front desk staff been more efficient and the buffet food tastier. Could have been a little better.
“Wonderful vacation!”
Had a fabulous trip! Only downside was that the ocean and activity shack were "closed" due to all of the sting rays.
“A great place to relax and enjoy life.”
The room was cleaned daily. There was a wide choice of dining facilities. The food was great with choices for every meal. The pool was warm and th ebeer cold. We have been here before and will return, possible next year.
“Best All Inclusive ever”
We came all the way from sweden to stay at this Hotel and everything was Perfect, We totally loved it and cant wait to go back next year... The Resturants where amazing
“great family vacation”
The marival is a great place for families, the food selection is abundant and there are many different type of restaurants to pick from. You won't go hungry. There is a different theme each night in the buffet. For the a la cartes, reserve prior to your departure or get up early to book your favorite spot as space is limited. These restaurants are more upscale dining. we had teenage boys and took advantage of the bikes on site, tennis courts and rock climbing is also available. I would recommend buying your own boogie boards (approx. 10-15$) as on red flag days the hotel will not hand them out. you can buy them on site in the sports hut on the beach. We just passed them on to another family when we left. The mexican fiesta is very good at the hotel. They had mexican theme night at the buffet and were then pleasantly surprised when we went to the fiesta, they were cooking there as well. There was candy apples, cotton candy, drinks and numerous different cooking stations set up. For a resort they do a nice fiesta and touch on the culture of their beautiful country. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are decent and clean. If you are looking for a spa like resort, with top of the line everything then this is not the place for you. But if you want a good family resort with good value for your money the marival is the place. As a family we also felt very safe in this area and hotel.
