“quiet and comfortable”

This all inclusive is quite a distance from Puerto Vallarta and within very comfortable walking distance to small town of Bucerius. It is a very quiet area with a great beach. The complex is quite spread out with several restaurants and pools. The food was generally very good with fairly good variety and options. The staff is extremely courteous. All request we made during our stay were promptly looked after. There is relatively no night life to speak of. Pools close at sunset and none of the restaurants are open late. If you like qiuet and slower pace you will love this place. This is really a family resort. If you are looking to party all night something closer to PV might be in order.

“Beautiful place for family to stay”

Our family with two children (2.5 and 13) stayed there for 13 nights. The room in building 2 has an impressive ocean view, and clean, though the furniture was old. We were impressed by beauty of the resort. It is large and full of green plants. It was a pleasure just to walk through it, and enjoy a perfect gardening view. All the buildings are colorfully painted outside and you can feel yourself like in a fairy tale. The food in buffets was good, and is better than in any restaurants. We visited all 5 of them. The beach is clean and with nice views on Banderas Bay. But the most impressive thing were every night shows. The dancers were so talented that we could not wait to see all of them again. Every show was unique, full of energy, dances, jokes, incredible gorgeous costumes, and at the end we really loved everybody from the dance team. We traveled to Puerto Vallarta by local bus. It takes 40 minutes, it is pretty safe and costs only $US 0.8. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall we have very good family vacation. We jogged along the beach about 2 miles in both directions, and saw a lot of other hotels, and after that we felt very satisfied of our choice, because they were small and not so green at all. Overall we have very good family vacation and think that it is a beautiful place for family to stay.

“Everything we wanted and more!! We loved our stay Here!”

My boyfriend and i are in our 20's and had a wonderful time at the Decameron! The resort was beautiful, large and spacious! We absolutely loved all the restaurants. Especially the Jap-Jap, its was amazing! The staff was always welcoming and friendly, never once was anyone rude to us or unwilling to help. All the pools made is very nice to be able to find a place to lounge around at, if one pool was full you'd just move onto the next pool. They kept the facility very clean and the landscape Beautiful! The only thing we wished was different was that we wished the fitness room had longer hrs and was bigger. But we dealt with it! :) The shows they have every night were awesome and we went every night and enjoyed the entertainment! Its not right in Puerta Vallarta,Its about 30 mins away, but we loved the location. We were there to party so we liked being away from down town Puerta, where all the bars and partying is. WE can not wait to return to the Decameron!! You will not be disappointed with your decision to stay here!

“Our 1st Trip to the Decameron, 2nd to PVR”

We stayed at the RDC March 1-8, 2009. This resort was amazing! It was only our second time doing an all-inclusive, and have never stayed at a "5" star hotel, but I do expect a pleasant stay, cleanliness, good service and food...which is what the RDC provides! The grounds are immaculate and beautifully landscaped and looks just like the pictures on the website! We only ate at one of the speciality resturants, but all got great reviews from all the guests we spoke to. We were very happy with the buffets...good selections...something for everyone. The service was excellent! We did not leave this resort except for 2 day trips to Bucerias for the entire stay. The water at the hotel is purified (not from the taps/shower in the room) and they provide you with 2 new bottles in your room each day. We drank it with every meal, and never got sick! My only caution is to people traveling with children...I did not see a thing to occupy little ones. The beach was great, raked everyday, and large. My only complaint is the STAIRS. Block 3 is the only area with an elevator. Otherwise...we are planning to bring the family with us next year, kids 24/19/18.

“The best bang for you buck”

We have stayed here twice and both times we have had a great holiday. This year we had a hard time getting a reservation-seems to be taken up with French Canadians and Italians(many were very rude with their loud talk and butting into lines).The buffets are still good but would be nice if there was a little fresh seafood. The salad bars are really good.We were glad to see some action being taken with the 'saving chairs' at the beach.We hope the staff continue with their diligence of not letting people save all the chairs under the palapas.The staff is very friendly.Hope to go back again-if we can get an early reservation!

“It's a keeper”

We will definately return next year but for a longer stay. The resort setting is fabulous with all the different colours and vegetation. The staff (all departments) go out of their way to please you and I was amazed at their excellent english. The quality,amount,and variety of food reminded me of a cruise ship menu.Once you arrive and look over the whole situation you see everything is done for a reason and I think it is a very well run resort. One note for future visits, if you are not physical 100% request a room on the 1st or 2nd floor or a building with an elevator. We were on the 4th floor and counted 58 steps. I guess the good thing it helped keep our waist line in check.

“Most Relaxing Vacation”

This hotel was great! Everything you could want was right there. We thought we were going to want to do a lot of adventures but we loved the hotel grounds so much that we didn't want to leave. The activity staff was awsome. Don't miss the nightly shows they were very entertaining.
