Vacation in MexicoPosted Jan 29, 2015
I really enjoyed the Holidays in Mexico. Secrets was absolutely a great place to stay and the staff were very courteous and pleasant. The only disappointing part of the stay was the guys trying to sell the timeshares. They just would not accept "no" and wasted my vacation time. The all inclusive works out very well. There's plenty of food and restaurant choices. Drinks were plentiful and 24/7. I only wish I had a couple more days to get more activities in. The Rhythm of the Night is a must do event, very nice!!!

Beautiful hotel , Rocky beechPosted Jan 19, 2015
The food, service, hotel and grounds were top shelf, but the main pool was closed for 4 days due to cracking. The jack hammers were obnoxious.

Great hotelPosted Jan 17, 2015
All inclusive was top notch. Servers were enthusiastic and accommodating. View from 14th floor was great. Japanese cook top experience was the culinary highlight; need to reserve and have a larger party. 25 minute walk to malecon.

Best Ever...... no Bull.Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: Great food, Service, drinks, shows, attitude... and compact in size but full of everything we needed.
Cons: We hated running down at 8am to save chairs by the pool..... I swear people were down there at 4am saving chairs.
Location: close to the airport, close to the tourist areas.
Of all the resorts I have ever stayed at (Mexico, Dominican, Jamaica etc.)...... Secrets PV blew them all away and exceeded all of my expectations. From the first drive through the gates, to the very last good bye at the lobby..... best ever.

SHHH! It's a SECRET!Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Great friendly staff. outrageous food!
Cons: People were tipping (their choice) so it ruins the idea of an all inclusive were you DON'T have to carry money around!
Location: Zoo was very interesting and worthwhile. Of course the Boardwalk (Malecon), hubby loves the stone balancer.
We love this place. Second time and brought friends. They can't stop raving about it. It lived up to it's hype. One thing, the rooster is gone, yeah! But the outdoor Jacuzzi (s) were luke warm, disappointing.

Beautiful hotel Right on the beach.Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Excellent food, friendly staff. A lot of activities to choose from
Cons: The pool water could be warmer. Also jacuzzis were not hot. We were told the heater was broken so hope it gets fixed.
Location: broad walk, marina, zoo, botanical gardens, healing hands massage, right outside Secrets!
Beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. All inclusive. Excellent food at all restaurants. All rooms have ocean views. If you want a very relaxing and fun vacation, I highly recommend Secrets. Oh it's adults only!

A little piece of paradise.Posted Jan 12, 2015
Cons: The new year bash, it was a flop.
The hotel and staff were great. The bummer was that for New Years before i could boot a seat at the celebration I had to buy a bottle of wine in excess of $100. If that wasn't bad enough the New Years bash was a complete flop and left at 10 pm as the entertainment was terrible. Spent New Years in the lobby.

Our Second Year Back!!! Already planning for 2016!Posted Jan 5, 2015
We travel a lot and believe me when I say THIS IS A FANTASTIC RESORT! We cannot say enough great things about it. It was our second time back (first time was Dec 2013, second in Dec 2014) and we are already planning for our Dec 2016 trip…. What makes this resort special you may ask - because it just feels like home with your family at Secrets Vallarta Bay. The whole team is tremendous. There is so much passion, dedication, and attention to detail exhibited by the whole team each and every moment to ensure your vacation is memorable. I special shout out to a few people you definitely want to meet during your stay - Fabian @ the Manatee Grill, Samantha in the Lobby Bar, Richardo at the grilling station in the buffet, Elma the hostess at the buffet who always remembered our last name (which is a crazy hard to pronounce let alone remember) and well everyone else who is going to make you feel like a King & Queen. If you book this hotel you will not be disappointed – Enjoy your trip!!!!!

Pros: Extremely helpful and gracious staff. Lots of swimming pools--a good, eclectic choice of possibilities. Lovely grounds: well landscaped.
Cons: Too much loud music virtually every night. Not a good hotel for those who want to retire much before 11 PM.
Location: Excellent location: a short, five-minute cab ride into the center of town.
Overall, we found this to be one of the better hotels in Puerto Vallarta. We had a splendid time. Our junior suite room had an excellent view of the sea and was an aesthetic delight. Whatever people have said about the beach in the past, we found it to be reasonably sandy--not "rocky" at all. The beach is certainly far more inviting than the rocky beaches along French Riviera towns such as Villefranche. Food varied from restaurant to restaurant. It's generally better on the "Secrets" side, and I'd avoid the Mexican restaurant on the "Amber Now" side like the plague: the music there is loud, the portions are small, and the wait (or so we found) can get tiresomely long. The French restaurant on the Secrets side is superb. Drinks are powerful and strong if you ask specifically that they be made so (and, as always, if you include your request with a generous tip).

FantasticPosted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: Large room and our large swim out pool cleaniness of the resort friendly staff
Cons: More notice of what was going on in the evenings some confusion some evenings
Location: Close to downtown pv can walk the beach to the malecon or take the sidewalk then go into old town close to reastaurts just outside the resort also
The staff-elizabeth, soul, cynathia, alma, jasmine, carlos, alfredo, gibran to mentio just a few made our 3.5 week so enjoyable. So close to pv can walk in everyday if you to the bus is just outside the resort to go venture yourself if you don't get a beach chair first thing in the am it can be hard later on during busy time over xmas meals at dinner time are high end frenc restaurant was my favorite
