Just book it. If you're going to Puerta Vallarta, this is the place to stay. Friendly staff, great food and an amazing place to relax. No complaints. NONE! Can't wait to go back in February!

Pros: Spectacular views and the entire resort was spotless. The rooms were huge and beautiful.
Cons: A quick tour of the resort upon arriving by the staff would be nice. Guests should get a feel for the resort without it being a sales presentation.
Location: Location was good...short taxi to boardwalk and shopping mall.
The resort was everything we had hoped for and more! The rooms were amazing and the service was top notch. The restaurants were great! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Good VIP Expedia Upgrades!Posted Nov 19, 2013
Cons: Nothing, with the resort. The ocean water of Banderas Bay is close to "polluted". It is not a good color or smell. Would not even put our feet in it!
Location: Old town is quaint to visit but if you are not a big shopper, it gets old quick. Previously went to the "Rythms of the Night" and it was pretty good.
Had a wonderful stay at this resort. Beautiful place with very good service, food, drink selection Etc. Was very pleased with our "Ocean View Jacuzzi Suite" in the "Preferred Building" but after 4 days they upgraded us to a swim up suite in the same "Preferred" section, Awesome! Both rooms were spacious and elegant. Do not know about the "Now" section of the resort which, allows children. Great thing is, you do not have to make dinner reservations in advance and was able to dine at all of the upscale venues. Wonderful views and clean pools! We appreciated the daily water testing to balance them. Have been to too many where they splash some chlorine once a day and call it good. Got an hour checkout extension for being a Expedia V.I.P. member too which, helped us out alot even though they were fully booked. They also have a cubby locker for room service and deliveries if you do not want to be disturbed (nice touch!). Also, offer a specific cleaning time if you want one. Have not ever had this amenity! How many times have we finally returned to our room in other resorts, late day, only to find that housekeeping had not been there yet!

Very Nice HotelPosted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: Location and beach
Cons: Better beer selection
Location: Shopping and restaurants near by and 1 block from the main strip
Located half way between the Malecon and Marina it has a great location with one side of the resort reserved just for adults and the other side reserved for adults with children.

Beautiful, Relaxing HotelPosted Nov 16, 2013
Pros: The room, staff, pool and spa.
Cons: The food! They need to get better quality food, and it is mexico so please serve better authentic mexican fod.
Location: The location is perfect, you can catch a cab or the bus or walk about 15mins to downtown.
My husband and I stayed at the resort to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. From the moment we arrived at the hotel it was a wonderful experience, they gave us cold scented towels and champagne. Our room was beautiful, we had our own swim out pool, the room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. We booked 80min massage at the spa, it was a beautiful spa, and Our massages with Gladys and Jaime were absolutely amazing! I've had a lot of massages at some really nice spas and this massage was by far one of the best. The breakfast buffet was really good, omlete station, fuit, tons of pastries, and mimosas :) THe pools were very clean, the pool waiters were great, very attentive, I had pina coladas and other tropical drinks and numerous beer options. The only thing that i was a bit dissapoited was the pool food, it was pretty much bar food, french fries, hamburgerss, hot dogs, pizza etc. I wish they would have had tacos or more authentic mexican options, they did have chips and guac. The Pool entertainment was great, Hugo, Cesar and Leo were great! they really get the crowd toparticipate in beach vooleyball, water polo, card game etc. The room service wasnt that great, it was pretty Mediocre. The restaurants were really nice and the service was great, but again the food was just okay, I mean the french restaurant wasnt french at all, I felt like it was all the same food (fish and steak and chickec) just made with different spices ans sauces. Overall we would definetly go back

Awesome staffPosted Nov 9, 2013
the staff was awesome. The food was inconsistent. Some night really good and other nights poor even if you ordered the same thing. The hotel room front door didn't have a stopper so when people shut the door sat night it slammed hard and really loud so hard to sleep. The entertainment staff was fun and keep you engaged. The staff around the pool bars where very attentive. Management in the restaurants was great.

Excellent hotelPosted Nov 8, 2013
Pros: Quiet, clean, close to old PV. Close to Airport. Friendly staff.
Cons: It would be nice if there were tags on the doors with "Do Not Disturb" and "Clean Room / Room Service" for the cleaning staff.
Location: Nice view of the bay, within walking distance of the board walk and old town. Short cab ride to Marina. Off the main street but still close.
My wife and I chose the Secrets for it's location and the fact it was adults only. Even though it share's some of it's facility's with the NOW side which is for family's, it was very enjoyable. The majority of the people while we were there were 30+, so it wasn't full of wild crowds. I've read some complaints about roosters and dogs from the vacant property next door, but we never had any problems. It was one of the more quiet vacations we've taken, and we will definately return there when we get the chance. We upgraded to the Master Suite in the preferred building, and all I can say is "WOW". Beautiful room, privacy, excellent view. I don't know how close the whales come in when they are there, but it's a great vantage point. It was on the end and faced the Ocean on the 7th floor, and had a small private pool on the deck. Great room service. Excellent friendly staff.
