Pros: Chef David and Lola!
Cons: Haveing to leave to go the "normal" hotel...
Location: Conchas Chinas overlooking Banderas Bay
This February, we went to Puerto Vallarta for our annual "hide from the world" trip. Our reservations were at one of the hotels near the Malecon. Due to flight times we had to arrive a day early and chose Villa Azul Cielo for our extra day before our hotel reservations. WoW. Villa Azul Cielo was a gorgeous 2 bedroom condo that is the second level of Villa Azul, an 8 bedroom villa on the hills in Conchas Chinas! From the moment we arrived, we knew we wanted to stay our entire week at Azul Cielo. The views are amazing, the amenities complete to handle anything we desired. The private swimming pool was an exquisite place to watch the sunsets as Banderas Bay stretched below us from left to right 180 degrees! We begged to stay for the rest of our vecation, but sadly, new guests were coming in the next day. The rest of our trip was uneventful at the "normal" hotel. We made reservations for next year to be sure to enjoy Villa Azul Cielo for more than a day!

Pros: Complete outside living in condo. Even had an animal getting food from kitchen at night.
Cons: 61 steps straight down and up. No elevator.
Location: The best in Puerto Vallarta.
There was not a telephone, to use calling card. The cooking utensils are few. Took 3 days to heat the pool. Only 4 English stations to watch. However had major satellite. It's all in how they program. We were without hot water for 24 hours. There was one day maid did not come. We returned to the room one day to find two workers working there. Did not like it because all our stuff was there. They did take care of whatever I ask ASAP. It is very loud at night due to road work going on. They start at 5:30 am This however is a great place to stay, if you understand Mexico, which I do.
