Villa del Palmar Beach Resort and Spa

The stay in resort was OK, but could be better. Staff was friendly, but not many of them speak/understand English. The beach is kind of small with grey sand. There were some difficulties to get in and out of ocean. The motorized boats floating in front of the beach and due to a constant breeze a smoke stays over the beach and extends to the resort area. Noise from HVAC penetrates in rooms when open balcony door. It was a same food in 3 restaurants for whole 9 days of our stay. Limited food and drinks even w/ all-inclusive package. For better varieties must pay additionally a whole price even if in menu.

Nice hotel with public transportation nearby. Facilities very nice and in good condition, genuinely friendly faces everywhere.

Our room was nice once we switched to the main building. The first room had a lot of traffic noise and 4 flights with no elevator.

its time for an update? renovate? grounds are a little tight. need more green space? need more parking for your staff? need more restaurants to eat at. swim up bar would be nice. prices on drinks and food are a little on the high side. $4-5 for a drink? a little high priced.

Staff were great and worked hard. We all thought the food was excellent and appreciated that authentic Mexican cuisine was available. Shows were also surprisingly good. The "kids club" seemed dull and didn't start until 11am, but the kids sure loved the pools.

Stay here every year. This time for 3 weeks. Nice beach. Nice swimming pool. Resturants on site are good with Bus available to marina & downtown for tons of resturants & sights. It's not brand new & fancy but very clean & well kept. Perfect for families & mature couples. They do have all inclusive but we have never taken this option. You do have to deal with the timeshare people who want you to view their new hotel in Flamingos Nueve. If you are not interested....just be firm and say NO. It has worked for us. Do Not Get Confused and book with Villa del Mar which is part of the resort but right on the main street. Rooms are very noisy from street traffic!!!

We stayed for 3 weeks and were pleased with our stay. Found resort to be user friendly. Enjoyed the restaurants and quiet pool. Our room attendent , Martina, did a great job.

We really liked the location. Close enough to town yet still quiet. We really didn't spend much time at the resort itself but out touring and shopping. Having the kitchenette in the room was very nice. We could have coffee in the morning and drinks while relaxing on our balcony when we returned in the evening. The room was very comfortable the bed especially. One thing that the rooms could use would be at least one more comfortable chair than the kitchenette chairs. Other than that our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable.

bathroom facilaties need upgrading and well as kitchen area. hardly any hot water pressure was poor and some facuets didnt even work at all

We are seniors and the hotel is small enough that everything is close. It is conveniently located between the Marina and Old Town. We take the local bus both ways.
