Nice hotel in PV

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Close to the beach, easy taxi to downtown or anywhere in PV, food and drink reasonably priced. Had a top floor room, nice views of the pool.
Cons: View of the ocean from the room blocked by palm trees. Theme night events ran kind of late creating much noise. Property is a bit older.
Location: In the heart of the hotel district, just a short cab ride away from most attractions.
Easy check in, got a nice room location. Staff always ready to help. Pools nice, property clean. Four of us in a one bedroom suite, the pullout bed was not comfortable at all. Small kitchen but functional. Same for the bathroom. The three restaurants were better than average, if not great. Overall a good value in the mid-price range and can recommend. Did get pressed by the concierge to attend a time share presentation (45 minutes by car away) in exchange for the discount card and cash (which we declined).

Pros: price and location
Cons: do not charge for internet access
Location: can walk to the marina but down town requires a cab or bus ride
the pool hot tub and restaurants are nice. the only thing that bothered me was internet was a dd on charge. some of the surrounding hotels have this for free.

It gets better every year!

Cons: The bed in our room was very uncomfortable. By day 10 my back was killing me.
The staff is very attentive. The food is great. The grounds are beautiful. The beach is clean and well-kept. Villa del Palmar is a family paradise.

Nice Hotel

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: We liked the services and quality of the food and drinks.
Cons: The wifi
Location: Zipiling, Parasailing, Swim with Dolphins...
My Fiancée and I had an awesome time at Villa del Palmar Beach and Resort. The waiters were fantastic, especially Etelvina, Eri , Miguel and Ernesto who helped us during our stay. In General, all the staff was very friendly. I requested the romantic dinner for my fiancée's birthday and I have no words to describe how perfect it was. We were very impressed with everything from the presentation to the quality of the food, the champagne was tasty and our service (Ernesto) was Impeccable. We will definitely come back to Villa del Palmar.

Nice resort, friendly staff and very accomadating

We arrived at resort, did not receive the room we booked but following day were transferred to our room. construction was happening around the back property but it did not bother us as our room faced towards the ocean that had a beautiful view. Timeshare was pushed a lot... But we ignored that. We loved the location as we could take bus to old downtown very easily. Food was good too. Maybe the resort could have had more events but we liked doing our own activities so it was not a issue. We had the all inclusive package, some of our friends felt it was pricey without the package deal. Not a five star resort though average from a 3 1/2 to 4 star. We would go back for another vacation.
