A comfortable, clean suites hotelPosted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: it is not too fancy, but there is a wonderful relaxed atmosphere - no pressure - just nice people
Cons: I cannot think of anything at the moment - maybe a slight improvement in the variety of the food offering
My husband and I spent 2 weeks relaxing and enjoying the wonderful location and sunny weather (even though we had some rain and rain and wind combined) on the outskirts of Bucerias. I find it to be absolutely the best way to endure our usual existence in Chicago - although Chicago is a great city except for the winter.

Pleasantly surprised!Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Clean, quiet, Mexican atmosphere. Nice beach
Cons: Hotel restaurant was acceptable. Good for a quick bite if you don't want to go to town.
Location: Have to get transportation or walk, to the nearest store or restaurant. Not much to do in Bucerias, except go to shops and swim in ocean or pool.
I always hope for the best when traveling.... that we'll actually receive a hotel and room as inviting and attractive as it was presented online. Vista Vallarta didn't disappoint. It had the quaint Mexican charm and atmosphere, but was clean and well maintained. The hotel and rooms were like they were presented, the staff was helpful, the room was clean, comfy, bright, with an ocean view. The area was quiet and it was easy to get into the small town of Bucerias. The reviews were helpful for knowing what to expect when arriving. The hotel did seem like it was in a run down area, down a gravel road, but that didn't affect the overall experience. Other travelers mentioned the furniture was stiff and uncomfortable. We thought it was fine. The other concern was the location away from the center of town, which wasn't a problem. Buses were easy to catch on the highway near the front of the hotel, and ran all day and evening. It was also easy to walk the two miles to town down the sandy beach. It's safe to take a bus back at night, or you can always find a cab for about $70 pesos, about $4 or $5 dollars. It was a totally relaxing experience, having coffee on our patio in the morning, a walk down the beach into town for breakfast and shopping in the market, going back for an afternoon swim and siesta, and out again for dinner at one of the fine restaurants. Have dinner at Marks, the best experience in town! For a quaint, quiet, relaxing Mexican experience go to Bucerias

Great if you are looking for something quietPosted Mar 13, 2015
Pros: quiet, cheap, pool, ocean views, small kitchenette, spacious
Cons: I did not have hot water on one occasion
Location: We went there to surf and it was a great location. Lots of surf breaks within 20-30 minutes drive. Restaurants in Bucerias are excellent.
When we first showed up, we were a little surprised as it seemed quite far from central Bucerias, but it's only a 10 minute walk to the restaurants. We also rented a truck for the week, and it was close to the highway, which made it easy for us in the mornings to get up and go. Room was clean, it was quiet. Mainly families and older couples. Definitely not a party scene, which was fine by us!

Good price and slow pace. Good service.Posted Jan 23, 2015 on Hotels.com
It was nice. If you want a well priced place that is on the beach that is quiet you will enjoy it a lot. My wife and I like the pace there. We're 40 and everyone else averages 60+ So no loud party's :-) ....

Agradable estancia pero...Posted Nov 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
