large rooms and close to the beachPosted Jun 25, 2013
Pros: We like how much space was avail. and the low key vibe we got in this area. Much less commercial and no hassles from the time share salesmen.
Cons: paint and texture on the walls was a bit outdated as well as the furniture, bed was ok, but the price was good and everything was clean
Location: small shopping area in downtown w/ nice vendors. lots of small off the street restaurants w/ authentic food. clean beach, horseback riding, fishing
Very helpful staff. some are limited in English, but if you know a little Spanish all is well. The room was larger than expected and was actually like a small apartment. 2 bedroom, 2 full baths, plus an extra clean up bathroom w/ shower and sink. Full kitchen and living room area w/ attached balcony. Pool has small swim up bar w/ covered area w/ tables for relaxing out of the sun. Beach is right down the stairs and was perfect for all ages since this part of the bay seems protected. Water was clean and no jellyfish. Other beaches in the area can collect trash and have lots of jellyfish. If. you r interested in spending a lot of time in downtown P.V. than expect about a 25 min. bus ride each way (.50 cents u.s.), or 15 min. by taxi ($25 u.s.). We hired a local w/ horses to ride on the beach for around $25 each for an hour. No beach riding allowed or avail. in downtown P.V. This place seemed more frequented by local Mexican families than foreigners during this time of yr. (june). Very low key area for lots of relaxing. Downtown Bucerias is only a couple min. by bus or about 30 min walk down the beach.

Spaciuos but outdatedPosted May 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel in general is pretty good. The location is also good if you take into consideration that you are in between Puerto Vallarta and Sayulita. The suites are spacious. The Cons are that the air conditioner systems are old and noisy and the beds are not that comfortable. Everything else is good.

Truly a Mexican Experience to Remember!Posted Mar 14, 2013
Pros: The huge suite right on the ocean. Also the incredible staff.
Location: It is the last hotel on the beach, followed by condos. So there are very few vendors. A great walk along the beach to all the restaurants.
We wanted a true Mexican experience and we found it at Vista Vallarta. The suite was huge, clean, and comfortable. It is an older hotel but extremely well kept. There were a couple of small repairs that were required in the room, but nothing major. We cannot say enough good things about all the staff....they were AMAZING! We know why the people we met come back year after year (some for over 20 years). We will be back next year.

Nice but dated.Posted Jun 8, 2012
Pros: Pool area and nice ocean breeze in the afternoon to keep you cool. All rooms have a balcony that face to main pool area, very lovely.
Cons: The mattresses on beds were hard but have experienced this at many other Mexican hotels!
Location: North 2 kilometers of centro Bucerias. Nice walk along the beach, or by the roads on side streets to reach shopping. Felt very secure walking.
The room/ 2 bedroom suite was clean but dated, could use some modernization. The staff were nice but did not manage to put through calls to the room. Local calls could only be utilized through desk, no direct dial and were charged out at 1.00 per/minute! The internet was not in operation at all during 5 day stay which was very annoying. The pool area was very nice and the beach was great. Ocean very calm in the morning but a little more choppy in the afternoon. We enjoyed the early morning swims. Nice 10-15 minute walk along the beach to beach side restuarants in downtown Bucerias and shopping. I would stay there again, but would know that I would be be unable to access internet and would only eat occassional meals in.

Super value, great for a large group or familyPosted May 17, 2012
Pros: Location, unit size
Cons: Only one TV in living room
Location: Fabulous, nice beach without many vendors
The space for the money cannot be beat, and we love the location on the north end of Bucerias, away from crowds. There's a mini super only one block away and Oxxo within a 10 minute walk, Mega and Walmart are both a short drive back down the highway. Loved the 2 bedroom suite with well-stocked kitchen, we cooked several full meals and were pleased. Little noisy in the master bedroom with the balcony looking at the pool, but when the pool was quiet we were still close enough to the ocean to hear the waves!! Recommend having a car, every suite gets an assigned parking spot.

The hotel is a touch funky but overall in good condition. It is right on the water with a beautful pool, the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient and food is good and reasonably priced. The walk to downtown is 15 to 20 minutes but pleasant. The decor of the rooms is simple and unimaginative but meets all your needs. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return.

Vista Vallarta Bucerias MXPosted Jan 5, 2012 on Hotels.com
Typical old Mexican hotel but it had everything we needed. Very friendly, helpful and clean. Only down fall was because they r two hours ahead we were not hungry by 7:00 their time and they closed the onsite restaurant at that time (privately leased space). Ok 4 us- we went exploring!
