Special occasion

Posted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: The service and restaurant.
This is the second time we have stayed in the hotel, and once again we had a fantastic meal. The service, food and wines are excellent. The rooms vary in amenity, and if we visit again I would choose one with a bathroom.

Poor service maling stay unpleasant

We were greeted by grumpy French staff for breakfast. Unacceptable at this level ad price point. If you have an alternative, avoid.

Quality hotel in lovely village

Posted Sep 22, 2012
Very pleasant hotel in heart of famous wine region. Very smart and elegant. Prices are high for size of rooms but the experience is agreeable. Restaurant is expensive and a good alternative is the Estaminet 50 metres away. Worth booking La Table d'Olivier Leflaive 100 metres away for 5 star tasting and lunch.

great but....

Posted Feb 21, 2012
Booked a double but was given a single - management could have been a bit more accommodating. Not clear what room categories really mean? Staff friendly and food wonderful - souffle Granny Smiths was fab u lus. Bill was wrong. Shame about the trees.

a quiet, well presented hideaway

Posted Jul 21, 2011 on Hotels.com
a charming little hotel in the main square of Puligy-Montrachet, right in the heart of the wine region. many of the other guests appeared to be wine buyers. rooms were small but adequate and the bed was especially comfy. the bathroom has a small bath - ideal if you were only 4' - but was clean and well presented. the village location was quaint but offered little to see except various wine cellars selling the local superb wines. but if you want to feel like you have got away from it all, away from the hustle and bustle of life then this is perfect. it is quiet and totally laid back. The restaurant , although fairly pricey, offered superb cuisine and wines comparable with top restaurants elsewhere. however if you are looking for a cheaper alternative there did not appear anywhere else to eat in the village. this is not for someone on a budget. overall a pleasant stay.
