Great hotel, comfortable, lovely staff
We loved Hotel Carpa Manzano! Hernan at the front desk was so helpful. He helped us get taxis, confirmed our tour times and even got breakfast prepared a little earlier than scheduled one day when we had to leave before 7 am. Definitely would go back.

Stayed here for one night bc it was literally the only place with availability after i came back from antarctica . Nice people but its safe to say my sleeping bag on the glacier was more comfortable . Rock hard beds. Rough sheets. Bad pillows. Absolutely miniscule room . Would not reccommend

The room was very comfortable and clean. Slept really well in a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast room was light and cheerful. Plenty of food. Walking distance to plaza and restaurants

Beautiful and comfortable hotel, horrible internet
The checking in process was quick and the staff were very nice. We were allowed to hang out in the lounge well after check out before our flight and they made us lunch boxes because we had to leave for a tour before breakfast. The room was small but nice. Having said all that, the internet was HORRIBLE. We basically had no wifi signal in our room and even in the lounge, the connection was super slow. We were expecting much more for such a pricey room.

Away from the busier waterfront
This small efficient hotel is in a residential area near the Salesian church and museum. Punta Arenas is easily walkable from here to nearby restaurants. The staff is helpful. This was a good overnight spot enroute from Peurto Natales to Santiago.

I arrived at the Hotel Carpa Manzano after a long 20 hours of flying exhausted and ready to relax. When I arrived, they didnt have a room for me. Im not sure if they overbooked or what but they simply said they did not have a room for me, even though i had multiple emails and confirmation numbers from both hotels.com and the hotel itself. The guy at the front desk was very nice and spoke english and found me a room in another hotel across town and even paid for the cab for me. Maybe it was just an honest mix up but still be aware that even though they are good people and the place is nice, they are some what disorganized.

A Great Hotel in Punta Arenas
I loved this hotel. It was modern, clean, charming, and comfortable. We stayed for one night on our return from Torres del Paine. While the location was not central, it was not a problem. It was an easy walk from the bus station, and then back into the downtown area. The guys at the front desk were super friendly, and spoke excellent English. The wifi and free breakfast were both on point. The rooms are are bright and feel very spacious. The bathroom was modern and clean.

The hotel is okay for one night. The rooms are very small, worn out and the area is dreary. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

We stayed two night prior to our hiking adventure and two nights after. The rooms required a little more attention to cleaning bathroom floor as there was dust and hair on the floor under the sink area. Our first two night stay breakfast included scrambled eggs but at the end of our trip breakfast was minimal and no eggs were offered. The staff was helpful and friendly

OK but would not recommend.
Room had a bad smell. Cigarette butt floated up when I used the sink. Problem with the hot water when I was there. Free internet -- but the system crashed and it was available for only a short time during my stay.

Not great.
The rooms are very small and the whole place feels old and outdated. Two out of the four towels we were given had dirt stains on them. The only power sockets in the room are under the bed and used for the bedside lamps, so if you want to charge your phone or camera, you will have to physically move the bed. The unlock key for the safe was nowhere to be found, so we couldn't use it. The breakfast was very average with basic items missing such as cold (only hot available) milk and large spoons. The staff were reasonably helpful but didn't seem too bothered. Unless you can't find anything else available, I would give this one a miss.

Paid way too much for a disappointment
Staff was not the friendliest or very helpful. Small room, and tiny bed. Bathroom was cramped too, and the tub was a weird, inconvenient half-tub I haven't seen before. "Free Parking" is street parking and when I showed up to the hotel, there wasn't any! I had to illegally park in someone's driveway.

Worst hotel we stayed at in Chile
I have stayed at hostel's that were much nicer than this. The area is also pretty sketchy. The service was poor as well. It's basically a large house in a residential area. Save your money and stay at a hostel there are several on the same street.

Basic rooms, but quiet, and not too cramped.
We stayed one night. The bathroom is good sized and comfortable. The room is spartan, with basic furniture and comfortable beds. Nothing fancy, but very clean and on a quiet street.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was cute and quaint. Rooms are small but cozy and clean. Location is close to the restaurants and central area of Punta Arenas - all walkable.

Hotel Carpa Manzano provided a good accommodation at the extreme south of Chile. It was warm, cosy and relaxing after a hard day of touring.

Nice Stay
Young lady at front desk was very nice and spoke perfect English. We were visiting on a Sunday and a lot of hotels in town were closed. And others would not accept credit card. She helped us find a very nice restaurant and made a reservation for us and checked to make sure they would accept a credit card. We had an early flight to catch and an early taxi was arranged for us at 5:00 am and they had breakfast ready for us even though earlier than normal breakfast time.

Coziness and Patagonian warmth in Punta Arenas
This simple, cozy little gem is full of Patagonian warmth. In a quiet safe area of Punta Arenas, only about five easy walking blocks from the dead center of town historical square and shops. Nice large breakfast/living room that has WIFI, large TV, comfortable sofas, bright and cheerful. Room a little smaller than in chain hotels, but that adds to the cozy feeling this place exudes, and the room was definitely very clean and fresh smelling. I would definitely stay again if trying to do excursions or boat cruise out of Punta Arenas and need sweet warm place to stay for one or two nights.

For the price there are defnitely better options available. The hotel isn't right in the centre but its a short walk and is not overly problematic. However, the hotel is very dated. The room, especially the bathroom, were very cramped. We asked the hotel to book us a tour to go to Isla Magdellena to see penguins but were told the weather was too poor. We enquired whilst in town and made the booking with no problems and there was no suggestion that the weather that day had ever been too bad. I don't know if the hotel are tied into one agency for these tours but be very wary.

This is a nice small hotel. The rooms are simple, the breakfast very good. The staff was very nice and many spoke excellent english.

Overpriced and unfriendly!
We are travelling since 6 months. The Carpa Manzano hotel was until now the most overpriced hotel in the hole journey. The rooms are small, the beds to short, internet was not working and the staff did not care at all. In general; for the price far to bad! One night was enough and too much!

Good hotel alround, clean, nice, breakfast nice location. Only slight problem was the hotel was full and we had booked a twin room but got a double. they did separate the beds for us though with a bit of persuasion !

Very good value for the money; very helpful staff
Clean and fairly large rooms. The hair dryer in the large bathroom was better than the one in a 4*Hotel in santiago. Breakfast buffet OK, but probably not rich enough for US and UK guests. Staff was very helpful to get me into the best possible tours, although I was there off season. It was very clear that they are well connected in the local tour operator - community. Excellent value for the money. A bit off the center of town. It takes you about 10-15 Minutes to the main areas of interest (restaurants, waterfront, plaza de armas). But I found Punta Arenas perfectly safe for walking back to the hotel around midnight.

Reaonably Priced
About a km from the main downtown square, and two blocks from a shopping street. Neighborhood I would rate as "ok". Surprised by the early checkout of 9:00 AM, but they let me stay past 11:00 AM with no extra charge. Breakfast buffet was ok. No eggs, some coldcuts. The tables were not bussed very regularly. Hotel was quiet. Beds comfortable. TV smallish. Overall it was a good bargain at less than half the price of the "downtown" hotels.

Te abren la pieza estando dentro
Estando en la ducha me abrieron la puerta las señoras del aseo y se metieron a la pieza, luego se metieron al baño cuando me estaba saliendo. Cuando fui a pedir una explicación a la recepción diciendo que era obvio que yo estaba en la pieza porque no las llaves de la habitación no la tenían ellos, me dijeron es que muchos huéspedes se van con la llaves sin avisar.

Hotel limpio pero un poco viejo... Se ve mejor en foto que en realidad. En una ubicacion tranquila. Servicio y atencion del persona muy amable. Por favor, hagan algo para el desayuno, es el peor que he comido en años en un hotel.
