Nice hotel with tons of activities planned!

Very nice hotel with various daily activities to attend if you desire!! Beautiful beach! Resort has a very wide variety of food at the different restaurants. Food is available at most hours. Must keep in mind where and what times each restaurant is open. I defiantly recommend snorkeling as an excursion! The ocean water is absolutely beautiful!!

Good and bad

The hotel staff was great in taking care of what you asked for. The only thing the staff didn't do was restock the mini bar like they were suppose too. It was very clean and nice facility. The food at the buffets was alright, some was good but the majority of it wasn't. The restaurants were nice but they seat in groups which in a way I get but they had open tables they didn't use. But the part that was most annoying is all the sales people trying to sell you tour packages and what not that are in the hotel. I get it when I'm in the beach or out of the hotel but I came to relax not be hassled. If you want to got to the DR I would say this hotel had the most activities going on which was night. Just not truly for me though.

Very nice resort close to the beach

I did enjoy my stay at this resort. Excellent food and very nice service, the room was always clean and the thing that I loved the most was the friendly staff. I really recomend this resort and I am already planning om going back.

Great Family Vacation

Pros: food, pool, beach is beautiful, service was great.
Cons: size of the rooms are to small
Location: location is fine not to far from airport, and other beaches like macao beach are beautiful. island sanao was nice, and dune buggys too
Had a Great Time at this Hotel With the family (Group of 10) The weather was unbelievable. the hotel was great also they have the pool close to the beach and the staff were very nice. one lady named Yesenia was awesome with us. the perfomers were awesome, my daughter enjoyed theyre shows and different themes at night. my only complaint was the size of the rooms but didnt stress it because i hardly sleep on vacation anyway lol. the excursions near the hotel are good also a little pricey but good. overall the hotel is great and i would return.

Good hotel for the price. Be sure to get platinum!

Pros: All suites, the rooms are in 8 room individual buildings. Platinum made the stay very worthwhile. Walking distance to shopping. White sand beach.
Cons: The AC in the rooms was not as cold as I would have liked. More carts that come around more often. AC in the gourmet Licey restaurant. It was hot.
Location: Walking distance to shops. I recommend doing one of the adventure safaris and visiting Catalina Island if you SCUBA or snorkel.
Overall, this was a good resort for the price (there are nicer resorts, but they are more expensive). I highly recommend paying whatever extra they charge for platinum. It was well worth it. With platinum, we got a private check-in at the platinum lounge. This is an all-suite resort, but only a few have ocean view. We were in suite 75 (rooms 756 and 757), which is right on the beach with an ocean view. 74 and 75 are the best. I put in a request through Expedia when we booked, and we got exactly the room we asked for. These were easy access to dining, the pool, and the beach. The beach was nice with soft white sands, but there is a lot of seaweed floating in the water. It is on the Atlantic side, so the water is not as calm as the Caribbean, but still easy to swim in, or take your drink out and stand in the ocean. It is very shallow, so you can walk out pretty far. This is a large resort and there are carts that come around every so often to take you from the beach to the main lobby and back. The beds are firm, but not uncomfortable. Platinum guests are the only ones who can make reservations at the restaurants. Otherwise, you will probably wait for an hour or more for a table. As with all-inclusives, they say tips are included, but you should still tip. $10 per person, per day is perfect. I recommend El Pescador, Tanuki, Bella Pasta. Licey had good food, but no AC and it was very hot. Argentino El Gaucho was not great.

Fairly average experience at the Princess

Check in staff at the main lobby were unacceptable. However, guest services staff at the Platinum lounge were very nice. Food was less than average at all locations. Buffet at the main lobby was always over crowded with plates running out pretty fast. No AC made it more unpleasant during chow down. AC in the room broke down and did not work for 2 days.

We truly sorry about all incidences you may have encountered during your stay certainly there was a problem in our AC system which left the Resort for two entire days without this service. As you may understand, this was a technical issue that stopped working suddenly and escaped from our hands, despite all the preventive and corrective maintenance that our staff gives frequently. Luckily the measures taken by the Management found a quick solution to this entire situation, and we had this service back within 48 hours. As we said, it was an unexpected situation handled the best we could but unfortunately we could not predict it. Thank you for your comprehension. Concerning our food service it is important to mention that this a subjective point of view. We consider that we have a good variety of food; besides the five a la carte restaurants there are two buffets. Moreover, we also have 2 others (not included) We are sorry and we can understand that our service has not been of your liking at some particular restaurant but not in all our restaurants. We respect your opinion but we can not share at all. We apologize for the entire inconveniences holiday you faced. We assure that this will never happen again. Your satisfaction is our priority. Beach and service

The white sand and clear blue water are incredible. The servers are fast and very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable but it needs more storage and better AC.

We enjoyed our stay, problems with food service.

Pros: The beach and pool are beautiful. The jetted tub in our room was an unexpected plus. The bed was made artistically every day with fresh flowers.
Cons: The service at Tanuki and El Pescadore was poor. They could describe dishes more completely. The food at Tanuki could be improved.
Location: We had a nice time on our trip to Saona Island. Our daughter and her friend went to the local Disco and enjoyed "nightlife" in the Lobby,
The beach is beautiful. Our room was very nice and the maid, (Fatima) took excellent care of it. We were close to the Lobby and the small pool. This was convenient for lots of things, but noisy. The soundproofing seemed very good and that kept it from being a real problem. We enjoyed our one excursion to Saona Island. Our biggest complaint was the food service. We had our best experience in the casual buffet restaurants, particularly Hispaniola. We had a couple of good meals at Belle Pasta. We had poor service at El Pescadore and at Tanuki. They could put better descriptions of food in the menus and they need to train the staff better. We put our name on the list at Tanuki and were told it would be "a couple of minutes" half an hour later we were told we would need to wait another 15 minutes to see if a reservation showed up or not. The Hostess insisted that there was no way she could know how long the wait would be when we signed in, even though they had not started seating people and she should know the seating capacity of the dining room. The WI-Fi in the Lobby was very slow.

The service from the hotel was good , but we had a bad experience from a company Named Royal holiday that was saling hotel packages but they were very dishonest about everything ! Don't let them talk to you because they won't leave you alone !!!
