Great Labor Day weekendPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is great. Very relaxing. Not a lot of loud music like at other resorts. Very calming mix of different music. The water park feature was awesome and kept the kids entertained. Make sure you plan in advance because the park has limited hours, which worked out fine for us. When the waterpark wasn't working we played on the inflatable toys in the water at the beach. Know that the entrance to the water from the beach is rocky, however if you enter the water from the pier the sand is soft and the water clear. They have included concrete spheres where coral grows and fish hide, so a good place to snorkel in the crystal clear water. I even saw a ray. The apartments were great, plenty of space and a nice kitchen. So bring your own food and drinks and you save some money and splurge on your dinners in nearby Bayahibe. The only down side was we noticed a small spot of blood on our comforter the night before we left. Also, the food at the restaurant was great. However, they forgot my wife's dessert order and by the time we realized it wasn't coming we didn't want to wait any longer and called it a night. Overall a very good place and we will go back.

Great Place! Would go back.Posted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Loved the set up, the location and the tranquil atmosphere. Loved the pools and even the music they played. The ocean toys and pier were awesome!
Cons: They could pay a little closer attention to some smaller details.
Location: We had a car and drove to Bayahibe to eat most of the time. There are tours to Catalina, Soana, and Catalinita Islands as well as other places.
Loved the location, far away from other resorts. Very quiet and well kept place. The staff was always attentive and helpful. The front desk girls spoke a little english but nobody else did so it is helpful to have some knowledge of the Spanish language. The pools were in good shape and cleaned everyday. The room was perfect for my family. The bathroom shower showed some wear and cracks and the shower head had to be replaced but other than that it was great. We have a 2 year old and a 10 year old and they loved the different pools and the waterpark. The waterpark is only open at certain times so be sure to find that out first. The restaurant breakfast was very good. The grounds were in great shape. The workers were friendly. It was a great stay. I would go back again.

Nice place for an all-inclusive family getaway.Posted Jun 23, 2013
Pros: I liked the room and amenities, nice kitchen with a coffee brewer. The bar by the beach is very nice and the wait staff very friendly.
Location: There is nothing nearby. If you want to be as far away from La Romana as possible, this is the place.
Good place for kids, nice big pool, very clean, nice beach, good hamburgers too! The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating.

Would Love to Come BackPosted Apr 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was very impressed with this resort. I was in the DR on business and only for one night but I would have liked to spend the weekend. My room was very nice. I had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and both were an excellent value (unlike some other resorts) and the food was very good. This place has an extremely large swimming pool, its own beach and other nice amenities.

Relaxing ExperiencePosted Apr 26, 2013
Pros: Peaceful and friendly.
Cons: Same breakfast served every morning.
Location: Within walking distance of town (2km).
We went in mid April which is a slow period for the resort so not all of the facilities were open, but then the absence of a crowd was what we enjoyed about the resort. The water was warm and clear but it was a little rocky by the beach. The private pier was a nice place to swim. The Café has excellent Italian food with homemade pastas, sauces and desserts. We enjoyed the spa too. Our rooms were comfortable but we did not spend too much time in them, the beach was the place to be.
