Best Yet !Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Staff, Entertainment,Food
Cons: Rooms could be updated in near future, but they were certainly adequate
Location: We had all we needed right on the property !
I'm a member of Palace Resorts in Mexico, and I have frequently used and enjoyed there property's..After staying at the Beloved in Cancun (Excellence Resort) we decided to give Excellence In Punta Cana a chance. All I can say is we will certainly go back. The property itself was second to none and the entertainment was the best we have ever experienced at a All-Inclusive ! Staff was was most accomodating.Cant wait to return.

If you want to relax!Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: The staff and employees were so nice and gracious, please tip them well, this is their livelihood. They were all so pleasant and always a smile.
The resort is very beautiful and is about 45 or so minutes from the airport. The grounds, pool and restaurants are in excellent condition. The rooms are very spacious and set up for a couples retreat, very open and inviting. The room shower was outstanding, but make sure you place a towel by the shower door, it leaked a little water out during a shower. Our a/c worked perfectly, the thermostat is in Celsius, so if you are not familiar with Celsius, you may have to do some tinkering (we found about 18 was the perfect nighttime sleeping temp). The mini bar was excellent and there was always plenty of bottled water and beer to drink. Also, Coke in a glass bottle? Yes!! The restaurants were good, but not outstanding, we never went hungry. Personally, we liked the Mexican, Italian and Grill for dinner and the buffet for breakfast. The pizza was very good, if you like thin crust, it was hot and loaded with toppings, great for a snack. We did not use room service. The bars were very good, mostly all top shelf liquor (Jack Daniels, Crown Royal, Jim Beam, Malibu Rum, Absolut Vodka, etc). If you are looking to do absolutely nothing on a vacation except to spend time at the pool and the beach, this is your place. The ocean conditions were not ideal (red flag for rip tides each day), so enter at your own risk, we ventured out no more than 20 yards from the beach into the ocean (waist high).

Everything was extremely convenientPosted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Food, Service, Amenities
Cons: Places could have been open later
Location: Everything you needed was right on site, however activities like zip lining and coral reef/snorkeling was available offsite
All food, entertainment and everything offered by the resort was made easily accessible and user friendly. All transportation arrived right in front of the hotel to bring you to any offsite activities. It made for an extremely relaxing vacation for a honeymoon

EXCELLENTE!!!!Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: The nice character of the staff. They "genuinely" seem to enjoy serving their guess
Cons: If there was one thing I would've loved to see among the various restaurants is an authentic Dominican restaurant!!! I did get some downtown/1hr away.
Location: It's about 30-40 mins away from other businesses which isn't too bad in my opion. But there is plenty to do on the resort.

Beautiful beachPosted Jul 21, 2014
This was a beautiful location. The resort had many different restaurant options & the food was good most of the time. Service was a little slow & could have been friendlier. The pool was nice but starting to look like it needs to be redone in a few places (old). Nightly entertainment shows were good.

Great Resort for a couple!Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: The private beach and swimming pools were great. The pool was very long and the beach was not crowded.
Cons: They oddly enough had "oatmeal" soap which is ok but when you get sunburned you would prefer something more gentle! The lobster house needs help.
Location: There were lots of activities during the day, only went on 1 excursion to the Catalina Island and wouldn't recommend it - just stay at the resort!
We had a great time, the staff is very good and excited to have you at the hotel. Anything that was missing they took care of immediately and even did things without asking - such as putting balloons, a cake and bottle of sparkling wine in our room for my wife's birthday. There were lots of activities and a large enough resort to explore. The beach was great, very private and there were plenty of huts to lay under if you wanted to get in the shade. The staff would drop by from time to time and ask if you needed anything. The restaurants were very good (except the lobster house) and there was almost never a waiting line. The nightly entertainment varied from pretty good to spectacular! I felt at ease and staff members remembered your name and enjoyed their jobs. I would recommend this Resort to anyone, there were a few minor issues but overall it was a great trip. The restaurants were good except the Lobster house. The lobster was not great and the "key lime" pie tasted like an old sponge! The French and Japanese restaurants were the best, and the breakfast buffet was very good. For an all inclusive I enjoyed the food as a whole. Also the bar on the beach was great, burgers and pizza but also did ribs and other stuff - Edgar was the cook and always smiling. The surf was pretty rough but most of the time you could take the kayak or boogie boards out. The shops actually had pretty good deals and were better than the street vendors down the beach!
