vacationPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The pools, food and staff were excellent
Cons: Screens placed on the open restaurants so you could enjoy your meal
Location: everything is available with a 45 minute drive
we had a wonderful vacation except for the mosquitos. We ate one night at the lobster house and had to get up and walk away from our meal due to the mosquitos. All our evening meals were then eaten at an inside restaurant.

Great beachPosted Aug 25, 2014
The beach was spectacular. White sand and warm water. Plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Did not have to wake up early to save a chair. The hotel facilities and staff were also great. Food could have been a bit better but overall it was good.

Amazing experiencePosted Aug 24, 2014
Had an amazing time, the food and entertainment there is unmatched. I have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts and this one is easily the best so far.

Excellente!Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Fantastic staff. Beautiful grounds. Lovely long beach. Plenty of sunbeds and palapas.
Cons: Mosquitoes are annoying (at least they were in mid-August).
This resort is a wonderful get-away. BEST THINGS: all-adult (not a big annoying 18-30 singles party, but fun), mostly couples, range of ages, enough palapas and sunbeds so that you don't have to get up at 6am and "reserve" them - just wander to the beach after breakfast at 10:30am and get a palapa (shade)! Plus, the staff are truly wonderful - warm and very good at making you feel like they want to make you feel happy. Gorgeous grounds and long, palm scattered beach! THINGS THAT WEREN'T PERFECT: The biggest issue to me were the mosquitoes. Definitely take some DEET containing spray. We found ourselves avoiding the outdoors aside from the beachfront (which had a stiff enough breeze to deter the little bugs). OTHER THOUGHTS: the all-inclusive is fantastic - food and drink available all day every day and in your room, too. Decent liquors as part of the program. Rooms are clean and decent but somewhat tired. Rain shower, jacuzzi tub, flat screen TV and so on. Third-floor rooms have vaulted ceilings. Food ranges from pretty mediocre to really good. Foodies: you aren't going to get your fix. But, it's very decent and plenty to choose from. Get the round-trip transfer between airport and resort as expedia add-on. Worked great and way cheaper than alternatives. Be preapered to attend a 15-20 min info session on your first morning - it's not a bad thing - no hard sells. We ended up with personal transport (no other people) for our money.BOTTOM LINE: Great vacation! Staff are fantastic

Excellence was excllent! A hotelPosted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Food! Staff! Facilities. And of course the 24h room service!
Location: The hotel beach is not that good...but if you take a 10-15 minutes ride to macao beach youll be granted!
Went with my wife for our honeymoon and it was just a great experience. The food is sooo good, the staff its like super friendly and efficient, the facilities are very good. We do really want to go back again.

Excellence Punta CanaPosted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: The events and the staff.
Cons: Room Cleanliness
Location: Didn't leave the resort
The hotel was very nice. The rooms could have been a little more clean especially the tub. Other than that the room could stand to be a little cooler. At night it would get a little too warm to sleep comfortably. The staff was very nice. They seem to do all they can to make your stay comfortable. Only warning I have for anyone traveling to Punta Cana is to bring bug spray. The Mosquitoes can be very bad at times. Also the Airport doesn't have AC (at all). You may lose a few pounds waiting on your flight.

Excellent hotel to rest and for romantic vacationsPosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: I liked most the service, the food and the beverage. The swim up suite is really nice, cause literally opens the door to the pool.
Cons: Some hotel areas needs improvement (ex: the excellence club pool area needs borders repair and some buildings needs painting)
Location: We didn't make anything outside the hotel. The location is far from airport, and the beach is kind of wavy to be a Punta Cana resort
The best of our experience was the service... Champagne welcome, peaceful environment, and pleasant hotel staff. We took the excellence club service and really worth it cause includes quality food, premium beverage and some special services such as warm pool, spa services, and special treatment. The fitness center is comfortable and the staff was available like a personal trainer. The hotel needs some improvements, but they didn't bother us at all because the staff was so nice that we enjoy our stay at most. This is the perfect resort for a romantic vacation.

Our trip to Excellence Punta Cana was "excellente"Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: EVERYTHING! The room, the private hammock outside our room, fully stocked bar in room, the food, the beach, the staff, the activities, romantic & fun!
Cons: With our departure time, and a long time til arriving in the US, it would have been nice if we could have ordered lunch for room service at 11:30.
Location: We didn't venture far from the resort, though my husband and I did 2 hr horseback riding (private tour). It was great going on the beach, major river,
From the moment we arrived to our departure the trip fit their name Excellence. The food was great. They were fantastic with food allergies (celiac & shellfish). It was quite the romantic setting in the room and around the complex. The staff was fantastic and made our stay even more enjoyable. You will love Cassandra and the other woman who works the activities during the day and night (don't you dare cheaty cheaty during bingo!). We cannot wait to go back and are considering our next stays at the other locations as we would love to see Mexico & Jamaica next.

Relaxation at its FinestPosted Aug 18, 2014
Cons: The Moskitos around the property were annoying and really the only downfall to a great stay
This is the perfect getaway if your looking for a nice, quiet and relaxing stay. The hotels food and restaurant variety is unmatched, the beautiful beach makes you forget about work and other troubles and the great staff is always there when you need them (and they are in the background when you don't need them, which is also great). We would go again in a heartbeat!
