Average service, beautiful facilitiesPosted Oct 6, 2014
Beautiful resort! A bit spread out, be prepared to walk 5-7 minutes to ANYwhere. The open air lobby looks magnificent, but could really benefit from some better ceiling fans like the theater has as its not climate controlled. No room service option and the unreasonable demands of wearing long pants for men (even if it was pajama pants- I'm serious) to eat in the restaraunts in sweltering heat really got old. Women faired better coming in the shortest of shorts and again I emphasize that I witnessed men in track pants, pajama pants and sweat pants but my khaki shorts were turned away. Plan accordingly. The room was beautiful and kept very cool by the AC, but the toilet fixture was broken upon arrival and repeatedly set back into place. We had ants in the bathroom. And we never received wash clothes the entire stay. They stock the mini refrigerator daily (but skipped is one day of the week) The beach was amazing!! Soft white sand, awesome blue green water. Loved the pool as well! The bar staff was inexperienced save one bartender, Raina. No one else knew what a Shirley Temple or other familiar drinks (even in the carribean) were. On more than one occasion in the restaurants and bars when thanking the staff en español, they simply replied "Ok." Being accustomed to travel to the Carribean after 10 trips, this was odd as most other resorts really emphasized "it's my pleasure" or a bear minimum "de nada" Overall an amazing week away with more positives than not

We were upgraded so that was a plus however beingPosted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Everything is within the proximity of what we needed especially the beach. It felt like we did not have to go anywhere to enjoy oneself. The nightly
Cons: Telling us what the weather is going to be like.
Location: We call it the beach mall was kind of irratating pulling you to their stores. Wish someone told us about the Catholic church close by. We went to Hegu
Everything you needed was in the resort however the phone system sucks. We were in a wedding package and it was impossible to communicate with our party as our phone was dead for three days. We had to go to the lobby to make calls. The meat in the buffet were tough. The Japanese restaurant was excellent. I would like to comment Adone, the bell boy who was very professional, friendly & did extra miles for us. He gave us a thorough tour of the facilities of both the Palace & the Bavaro. Love the attention we got from him.

Great Stay in DRPosted Sep 1, 2014
My overall experience was fantastic. My only cirque is that the shower had a little mold (hard not to have mold with the humidity) and the constant any selling. Everyone was trying to sell something from jewelry to excursions to vacation club. After the first couple of days saying no they stop asking. But other then that everything was great. The service was excellent and the food was pretty good. I will stay at another Palladum resort without a doubt and I would recommend it to anyone.

You can do better!!Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: The grounds are well maintained.
Cons: Improve transportation practices, train staff to improve hospitality, day passes shouldn't be allowed & increase staff to reflect the number of guest.
Location: Many exertions are available to suit various interests. However, there is high pressure to book exertions from staff, all the time.
This is a mega resort comprised of three smaller resorts. They advertise an abundance of amenities, however the accessibility to the amenities is limited, due to the below poor transportation practices they implore. A "train" system is used to transport guests within the resort. The resort says that the train runs very fifteen minutes, but that is false. It runs approximately every 35 minutes and never at a consistent time. After waiting over thirty minutes, one hopes there is room on the train. Very often, you may be waiting another 35 minutes for it come back around. The entertainment was not clearly advertised and activities were cancelled due to various reasons. Additionally, restaurants and pools were closed on some days with no explanations. The kids club supervision consisted of putting the children in front of a tv or gaming system for extended periods of time. The food was below par, and worst of all, some of the Waite staff were rude towards the guests. There was an underlying resentment toward guest, that was very bizarre and uncomfortable. For the most part the grounds were kept clean, however on Saturday the resort was filthy due to the number of guests verses the number of staff working. Day passes are sold at the resort. On Saturdays, many locals take advantage of this resort feature and the number of guest multiplied. However, the staff stayed the same. Shop around because you can do better than this resort!

Close to the beach and good facilitiesPosted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Lots of things to do for kids
Cons: Better maintenance to rooms, more vehicles to move guests between facilities
Rooms were ok, but lots of things can be improved if well maintained. Service was acceptable, but one usually has high expectations from Dominican staff dealing with tourists

Great food and servicePosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness and the choices of the a la carte restaurants...the meals were extra ordinary and tasted delightful.
Cons: The caulking of the tiles in the bathroom were messy and not well finished. The quality of the deserts tasted processed
Location: The location was great and we also enjoyed the excursions....we did not feel safe to leave the resort on our own.
Our family stayed for a week at the Bavaro...the breakfast buffet was very good...plenty of choices. The lunch and dinners were great....the staff was friendly and courteous.
