4 resorts make it a wide spread.

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: There are several kids clubs divided by age groups and were good entertainment. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. Plants, trees have markers.
Cons: Fountains need to be kept clean. Staff need training for customer service and speak better English.
Location: Hotel is located very near to the excursions of canopy, adventure boogies, etc.
This was our second trip to Punta Cana. Our previous hotel was far better than this one. This hotel fountain's are dirty and moldy and smell. Swim up bars have debri floating in them. This resort is spread out over about 1 mile wide along the beachfront and about half mile deep. All the walkways have uneven surface. You WILL walk alot. There are not enough trams and pick-ups are infrequent. Heels are dangerous on the uneven surfaces. Staff will smile, but either do not speak English very well or are pretending not to so they will not help you. WiFi is very slow. I was receiving texts the next day. The system used for reservations in the restaurants just plain is bad. Reservations can ONLY be made at 6p. People were lining up at 4:30 to TRY to make a reservation at 6p for dinner sometime between 7p-10p for that night, then coming back at the designated time. Men MUST wear long pants to restaurants. This system is crazy. I've not experienced the frustration and waste of guests time as this system. The a la carte buffets are all pretty much the same. They have 'theme' nights that have all the same food as any other night with addition of 1-3 dishes of the theme night. The drinking age is 18, and unless you were with your kid 24/7, alcohol was given. There is a good choice of excursions available. You can use a credit card if you pay for excursions, however, plan to pay cash for pictures, videos, etc. Vendors roam the beach selling their wares. We will not return to this ho

Beautiful hotel, terrible service!!! What a shame.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The hotels itself and the layout was gorgeous.
Cons: Service, service and more service. Also all websites should warn visitors that the "Club" members are treated like gold and everyone else isn't.
The hotel layout and facilities were beautiful. However, the word service is one that most of the people working at the Palladium do not understand. The Palladium Hotel Group should require all employees to go through mandatory service training before being hired and then go for refresher courses. Cleanliness in the rooms left a lot to be desired; only 2 bath towels and one hand towel for each couple in a room is absurd!!! Pools were not kept as clean as they should have been with the amount of people at the resort. I have been too larger hotels, and the pools are immaculate. The wait at the a la cart restaurants was NEVER less than an hour, and the food was just mediocre. Be warned! Although they say no reservations and first come first serve this is a complete lie!!! They do take reservations but only if you are a part of the "Travelers club" which we found out later after much frustration of waiting and seeing person after person go ahead of us. Once you finally make it into the restaurants, then you wait and wait and wait. The total experience is between 3-4 hours! The service at the buffet restaurants was not much better. We basically had to beg for beverages, eating utensils and napkins! There are some trains that transport you around the premises, but there is not set schedule so good luck waiting. I waited a half hour one day and nothing came except for large golf carts that were once again for "Traveler's Club" members only!

Get comfortable shoes and a patient outlook

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Well I dindnt know that there is 4 hotel in one and the 3 buffet and 8 restaurants are shareable , meaning that you have to walk from one hotel to the other side hotel and make a line to eat!!! There is only one train that is very slow and with capacity for only 40 people !! Do the math, I practically lost all the weight I gained!

Large hotel. Too many people...

Posted Jul 21, 2015
The hotel is too big and too many people. too noise. Not a good place for relaxing. Expedia's local agents in this hotel was a nightmare for me. The lady's is Maireni Indira. Please dont book travel plan from her. She's so rude.😠

A lot of walking required.

Pros: Variety
Cons: scheduled shuttle service around the resort.
Location: Excursions were great.
Received very bad service from the Royale side of the hotel. Pools were over crowded in general.

Beautiful Beachfront Resort & Buffet Breakfast

Posted Jul 19, 2015
Pros: What I liked about the hotel is clean rooms, the beach, the pools, all the buffets and restaurants, the courteous staff and hand sanitizer everywhere.
Cons: What could be improved is to have the snacks replenished more often at the 24 hour café. A lot of people go there and snack shelves would be empty.
Location: The location is great, on the beach. There are many excursions desks available in the lobby and people selling excursions on beach too.
The Grand Palladium was a lot of fun and comfort. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, there are lots of restaurants, bars and buffets, the resort is also on the beach and has pools if you prefer. You can book excursions in the lobby or on the beach, there are nightly shows. We enjoyed our stay very much. The 24 hour Café was very convenient, with a bar, a small menu you can choose from and give to the cook to prepare, ice cream. A lot of people go to 24 hour café, so the pastries, pizza and chips run out fast and need to be replenished more often.
