Great Stay in DR

My overall experience was fantastic. My only cirque is that the shower had a little mold (hard not to have mold with the humidity) and the constant any selling. Everyone was trying to sell something from jewelry to excursions to vacation club. After the first couple of days saying no they stop asking. But other then that everything was great. The service was excellent and the food was pretty good. I will stay at another Palladum resort without a doubt and I would recommend it to anyone.

Pros: The grounds are well maintained.
Cons: Improve transportation practices, train staff to improve hospitality, day passes shouldn't be allowed & increase staff to reflect the number of guest.
Location: Many exertions are available to suit various interests. However, there is high pressure to book exertions from staff, all the time.
This is a mega resort comprised of three smaller resorts. They advertise an abundance of amenities, however the accessibility to the amenities is limited, due to the below poor transportation practices they implore. A "train" system is used to transport guests within the resort. The resort says that the train runs very fifteen minutes, but that is false. It runs approximately every 35 minutes and never at a consistent time. After waiting over thirty minutes, one hopes there is room on the train. Very often, you may be waiting another 35 minutes for it come back around. The entertainment was not clearly advertised and activities were cancelled due to various reasons. Additionally, restaurants and pools were closed on some days with no explanations. The kids club supervision consisted of putting the children in front of a tv or gaming system for extended periods of time. The food was below par, and worst of all, some of the Waite staff were rude towards the guests. There was an underlying resentment toward guest, that was very bizarre and uncomfortable. For the most part the grounds were kept clean, however on Saturday the resort was filthy due to the number of guests verses the number of staff working. Day passes are sold at the resort. On Saturdays, many locals take advantage of this resort feature and the number of guest multiplied. However, the staff stayed the same. Shop around because you can do better than this resort!

Pros: the beach and hotel friendly staff
Cons: Just the towel cards my towel got stolen Samuel gave me a new card but has a guest I do not think I should be charged for the towels
Location: we did the day trip sauna island Paco cool guy!
Nice and clean staff are friendly the food choices are amazing I like the theme nights at the restaurants and shows are amazing my family enjoyed this trip will recommend this place. Good job Samuel!!!

Pros: Lots of things to do for kids
Cons: Better maintenance to rooms, more vehicles to move guests between facilities
Location: Great
Rooms were ok, but lots of things can be improved if well maintained. Service was acceptable, but one usually has high expectations from Dominican staff dealing with tourists

Pros: The cleanliness and the choices of the a la carte restaurants...the meals were extra ordinary and tasted delightful.
Cons: The caulking of the tiles in the bathroom were messy and not well finished. The quality of the deserts tasted processed
Location: The location was great and we also enjoyed the excursions....we did not feel safe to leave the resort on our own.
Our family stayed for a week at the Bavaro...the breakfast buffet was very good...plenty of choices. The lunch and dinners were great....the staff was friendly and courteous.

Stay away, not a vacation worth resort!

From day one I have had a horrible experience with grand palladium. The staff is very unfriendly, the organization of the resort is very unorganized, restaurants are not tasty and the kids club was very boring. The best days during my trip was leaving the resort and visiting the spa! Restaurants- rather then allowing you to make reservations at the restaurant visits you have to go to the restaurant of choice at 5p and stand in a line for over an hour to make a reservation later that night. Best to go to the buffet every night! Rooms- are beautiful but the cleaner comes every few days. Kids club- at night, the kids would sit in front of the TV, I could do that in my room!

A big, beautifully kept resort. Our rooms (villa 38) were near the lobby but far from the beach and pools, which was a bit of a workout with three small children and all the swimming gear. We made reservations for the a la carte restaurants for the week and were seated promptly. Food was decent. Brazilian was good. Good experience overall but will try another resort next time.
