My Thoughts

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The room
Cons: The Buffett staff and Restaurant experience
The resort is not that bad, however, when it comes to dining is a bit horrible. For the restaurants you have to literraly wait in line just to make a reservation and in the Buffets the waiters are prejudice towards the hispanics.

Nice and close to the Beach!

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Very good experience. The only thing is make sure your safe in your room work. Because in your paperwork it states that they are not responsible for anything that is not put in the safe of value. And a maintenance man came to my room two times about something that I did not call for that's the only thing I did not like. Lucky I was in the room and close by both times.

Middle of the Road

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Pros: I liked the beach. The sand is white and powdery, the water clear and warm. There are plenty of palm trees and chairs and a bar nearby for cold drinks
Cons: The management of this hotel should shield its guests from the constant onslaught by local "vendors".
Location: The dune buggy trip was fun, although we were repeatedly nagged by "vendors" to buy various items or services. The glass bottom boat trip was a waste.
When I arrived at the Palace, I was grumpy due to the fact that my airline lost my bag. Through this experience I learned that the Front Desk was not terribly helpful in making my unfortunate situation any better. The language barrier made this more difficult along with the fact that my room was not ready after waiting around for the 3:00 p.m. check in. At this point I started to show my annoyance and then, but only then, did they try to make amends. They "found" me another room but I felt that we had already gotten off to a bad start.

Good experience overall

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: They provide a lot of options (locations) for eating, and bathing. Many sports and recreational options!
Cons: The quality and variety of the food in their buffets must definately improve. Improve the process of reserving for the themed restaurants.
Location: Must make a reservation at the Japanese and Mexican themed restaurants. The food is really good.
My family and I spent 4 days at the Palladium Palace. We had 2 rooms and mine was perfectly clean and everything was ok. The jetted bathtub in my parents room didn't work properly because the pressure of the water was too low. Their hairdryer didn't work either. Food: -The quality of the food in the buffets was fair. The menu was the same everyday which was dissapointing. Must watch out for the beef which was always hard to chew. - We loved the themed restaurants and the food they provided was amazing. The Japanese restaurant cooking show is really entertaining. I personally loved the Mexican food. The bad part is that reservations must be made the same day, and the lines were really long. I think they should consider using a diferent method were reservations can be made at the lobby, and you can make them in advance. The hotel has a lovely beach, and the pools were great, I was impressed with the quality and variety of the drinks at the bars. We also appreciated the sporting options. I was sad I didn't bring my soccer gear (they have 2 soccer fields) We had a good experience! I hope the hotel improves these key points.

Very Nice All-Inclusive

Posted Dec 27, 2014
I have stayed at a lot of all-inclusive resorts around the Caribbean, including the Club Med in Punta Cana, and this was one of the best. Hard to come up with ways it could have been better! Definitely family oriented, so if you are looking for a wild, singles experience, this isn't it.

Even if a great deal, be careful!

Posted Dec 22, 2014 on Hotels
Went to this resort because of a teaser deal. This was probably the worst vacation. No one spoke English well enough to be understood, food was mediocre at best, and drinks when you could get them were watered down.We had to change rooms because of flooding when it rains and the air conditioning made it smell. The activities were geared toward younger crowd and you will be constantly hounded to pay for exclusions, cigars, or jewelry. Now, if they had as many people willing to get a drink as they had soliciting, maybe that would be a start. It was also off putting that there are areas that you cannot access because you weren't of elite status. In their favor, the grounds were imaculate and the people seemed friendly. It is too bad there is such a language barrier. The worst part is the airport. For that alone, I will not revisit the Dominican. I had no cell service and the wifi was down so I could not find my friend. There are multiple wings to the airport and they do not connect. Now this may have been easy enough to navigate if there was an information/help desk or even monitors showing flight arrivals. There is also no water while you sit there and helplessly wait. And here the language barrier was the worst. After hours of waiting, it was then frustrating to be attacked by the transportation workers only to find out later we were overcharged for our trip to the resort.

Family Vacation and Wedding

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Pros: Great service, good food, quiet family spot, great wedding.
Cons: Checkout was poorly thought out. The yellow shack on beach by lunch/pool area where you get the sporting equipment--the staff were nasty.
Location: Location great and you do not miss or need to leave for anything; remember no coral reefs and water sports at resort tough but beach beautiful
We stayed at the resort over Thanksgiving about 8 days; used all three of the separate resorts. Food was good to exceptional for the daily meals; specialty ones okay to good. All service everywhere excellent except checkout needs to be re-engineered to make it easier. The wedding department did a perfect job on every aspect of our wedding; you need to trust them and communicate by email as best way. The beach a little challenging as much wind and sea grass while there, and you have water between the reef and shore which is neither big waves nor smooth, protected water so some sports not so good. Drinks good. Fishing was good but water rough for those who have trouble with that sort of thing; no bones in the DR. No bugs so no worries about the related problems. If you want a laid back beautiful place with good all inclusive food and excellent service, and/or wedding spot then they are a great place. Beach nice to sit on but no real snorkeling opportunity, water sports and no bones.
