Large resort. Not crowded although lots of peoplePosted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: Food, amenities
Cons: Free wifi, even if only in the lobby.
Location: Shopping close by. Did several excursions and were lots of fun.
We were not happy with our first room, but changing was not difficult. Very pleased with the change.

Beautiful Beach, clean hotelPosted Jan 25, 2015
We had a very nice and clean room. We ended up with a leak in the ceiling a few days after getting there. Staff initially wanted us to stay in the room over night with the leak after they attempted to repair it 3 times. Eventually they did change our room. The hotel was nice and the beach was wonderful! The food was fair.

Fabulous Vacation!Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: We loved how beautiful this resort is kept and we enjoyed the beach and pools with their palapas for shade. We loved the people most of all!
Cons: Our hotel room was a little outdated and could be updated a bit, but we weren't in it much so we didn't mind.
Location: We went on the Reef Explorer excursion where you can go snorkeling and swimming with sting rays and sharks. I swam with sharks - fantastic!
We have stayed at another Iberostar before and decided to try this one in Punta Cana. We were not disappointed! The grounds are immaculate and the beach and pools are spectacular! Everything is in walking distance and since we love to walk we spent the day walking around the resort and up and down the beach each day. We absolutely loved the amount of palm trees on the property and took many pictures of the ourselves with them in the background. Everyone at the resort was friendly and especially the staff at the Buffet Higuey. We want to mention Jose, Franzua, and Delvin who made us laugh every morning at breakfast. We enjoyed our whole experience and would not hesitate to come back again.

We had a great time, however the food was not great and there seemed to be a lot of rules and regulations at the resort when we were expecting to get the true "all included" out of the all-inclusive experience.

Not worth the moneyPosted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: the weather
The hotel is OK, but not worth the money I spent on it. The rooms and facilities were clean, but they were old and cheap - the bedside table suddenly collapsed and no one was the least bit surprised when we notified the front desk (they fixed it immediately to their credit). The pool was very crowded with people claiming lounge chairs as early as 7am at both the pool and beach. The food was cold, always. The food at the a la carte restaurants were the same items at the buffet with different names and longer wait times. The staff was not very friendly either, not rude - but not friendly.

Friendly and quick servicePosted Dec 22, 2014
Location: Beach and amenities were great !!
The really great thing about this Resort is that the people working there were extremely friendly and willing to either do for you, or find someone that would ,anything to help your vacation to be great. There was nothing We thought could be any better other than the Wi Fi was extremely tough to log onto and you could only have one person on at a time after paying thirty five dollars for the week, which is reasonable. Oh yes there was an issue with the electricity going off once in a while but started the minute you got up and moved around like it might have been designed that way. Overall our vacation was just what we wanted and didn't really want to leave, but We will be back !!!

Nice hotel great staffPosted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: The hotel and the people
We had a great experience at the iberoestar dominicana. The hotel is very confortable and the beach is great, but at this time of the year the sea is brave at this location of the island been much calm at bayahibe. The staff is nice and helpfully, always smiling and making your life easy. The hotel has a dive center with a professional staff that can help you to plan your diving and snorkelig actvities, as well you can have your first experience free at the pool !!! You can arrange the transpotation from the aiport with the hotel in advance or take a taxi. The cost is similar between 40 / 35 uss. If you want internet you can pay by day or 7 days (35 uss). If you have problem in the room for conection just tell them because there is a router to adjust.

Honeymoon in DominicanaPosted Dec 17, 2014
Unfortunately, when I got there I got sick with bronchitis so I did not enjoy the facility or drinks to the fullest. Fortunately, the facility has a doctor that can evaluate you for a costly amount. Other than that the staff is very accommodating and friendly. They even sent me a big fruit bowl to my room because they knew I wasn't feeling well! The pool area is HUGE. The beach is beautiful but you really have to get there early to reserve your beach chairs. The food is wonderful and the bartenders are amazing!
