Adult only beach front resort in Punta CanaPosted May 17, 2015
Pros: Adult only
Cons: You pay a premium to stay at this hotel so you should be able to make dinner reservations to the specialty restaurants when you arrive for your stay.
Location: Iberostar a has other resorts adjacent to this resort that you can use their facilities. For example their small casino is nearby.
We had an excellent time at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro in Punta Cana. It's a beautiful, adult only resort on Bavaro beach. For the most part, the staff is very friendly and professional. There would have been a few things that it would have been nice to know about up front, like menus in the buffet restaurant, and getting the paper delivered to the room. as for dinner reservations, we booked them before we arrived, so we had no issues getting into the specialty restaurants. That is also how I found out about the Beach Club specialty restaurant, which was our favorite. We both ordered the Kobe beef, which was so good, my husband had a second steak. Just an fyi about the specialty restaurants, we met a couple who tried to book when they arrived and had to eat at the buffet their first 2 night stay. Overall, the minor issues we had would not impact our decision to go back and we would recommend this resort to anyone.

A ParadisePosted May 15, 2015
Pros: Clean, quiet, friendly
A beautiful place to relax and enjoy your vacation. The most important to me it was a very quiet room with a nice balcony. The most frandliest staff I ever dealt with. A very clean premises.

Problems preventing this hotel from being great.Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Rooms were very clean and bedding comfortable. The food at the specialty restaurants was good, if you can get a reservation. (Bring cash!)
Cons: Dinner reservations, room service, pool appearance, buffet food temperatures.
Location: About 30 minutes from airport.
Heard that dinner reservations were a problem before we arrived. Emailed hotel 2X to make reservations and they never responded. Upon our arrival we were told there were no reservations available for our 6 night stay. Who wants to eat a buffet dinner every night when you are eating at the buffet for breakfast and lunch. Only after my husband gave the concierge $50 were we given reservations in the specialty restaurants. Buffet: Both hot and cold food are served at room temperature. By the 5th day my entire family was sick. Also, most foods were unlabeled. Room service: Horrible. Ordered breakfast one day. 2 coffee, 2 juice, 2 omelets. One omelet arrived 1 1/2 hrs. after ordering. The same thing happened to may daughter and her husband. Pool in need of repair: Hundreds of the pool tiles are missing. It looks horrible and not sanitary. Broken door lock: My daughters door lock was broken. It took 3 days to repair. Totally unacceptable and my daughter did not feel safe in this hotel.

Great stay!!Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: It was in a beautiful location. Everything about it was gorgeous and clean and the staff were super friendly.
Location: We went to Dolphin Island and the Reef Explorer and had a blast at both. There is also a mall nearby that the hotel has a shuttle to.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were super friendly upon arrival. We were shown to our room and introduced to our butler who was there for anything we needed. The room was beautiful with a gorgeous view (we stayed in a junior suite), clean, and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The food was delicious and alcohol was always available. We ordered room service for breakfast a couple days and it was also delicious and included. The location of the beach was beautiful and there were plenty of umbrellas to sit under. Overall, it was a beautiful resort with wonderful staff and we will definitely stay there again. Two tips I wish someone would have told me is that for the restaurants men have to have pants and women in dresses and that you should tip the staff daily instead of doing it all at once at the end of your stay.

Rest and Relaxation was the keyPosted May 8, 2015
Pros: Grounds layout was very nice. Staff was excellent.
Cons: Little different room layout. If not in bed or on Deck not much area to sit and chat But maybe we shouldn't be in the room at all.
We decided we wanted a relaxing vacation with maybe a couple of excursions, well this was the place to be. The staff could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Between the pools, and the ocean there was plenty of room and no real loud noises. Maybe I'm old but it was nice to have an adults only quiet.

Well worth the moneyPosted May 6, 2015
Being an avid traveler for work and for pleasure my wife and I come upon all inclusive resorts all the time. Most do not live up to the hype as they have far too few options, staff that is ill trained or food that is subpar. All of those are the exact opposite of this hotel. Upon arrival they greet you with a butler and a cocktail. The check in process was extremely quick and smooth, the room spectacular with turn down service twice a day. The staff were attentive and by the third day knew us by name and drink. There was lobster and steak with almost every meal and enough to do to enjoy five days of bliss. We never left the resort and there is no need; it has everything you would envision paradise would have.

Fantastic resort that fronts a beautiful beach.Posted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: Everything- but especially the staff, service, beach, view, and food at the themed restaurants.
Cons: Better control over the room air conditioner setting. Also, more lounge chairs on the actual beach, without having to drag them to a spot.
Location: Great location on a beautiful beach, wonderful pools and hot tubs, activities, shows, great food and drinks- no need to venture out anywhere else!
We stayed at the Iberostar Grand for adults only for 7 days in April. We had a wonderful experience and perfect weather! The resort is beautifully landscaped and always kept clean. The interior is palatial! Our ocean front room had a fantastic view of the pools, grounds, and ocean. It was comfortable, quiet, clean, and well decorated with many extras. The floor butlers and staff couldn't do enough for us! We loved our stay!
