Beautiful hotel and friendly staffPosted Apr 13, 2014
I would recommend the Iberostar Grand to anyone that is looking for great service, good food and a very clean place to stay. We had 2 butlers (Carlos and Kelvin of which you can request) that cattered to all our needs. Entertainment staff like Maria who was wonderful and friendly and of course the pool bar service was fantastic. Ask for Rosy, Julio or Robert. They will be sure to take good care of you. If you go tell them you want a minibeer and/or 43 on the rocks. This was a favorite and we had never had this before. As for the island itself there isn't a whole lot to do. We did surf with MSC which they were very nice and we went on the reef explorer which was ok. Other than that we didn't want to leave our paradise hotel! We had everything we needed there. The Grand is a great place for relaxing and is perfect because it is adults only. If you want a little craziness then you have two other hotels that are right next door. As for the beach, it is the softest sand we have ever felt!

Adults only, all inclusive , beautiful hotelPosted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Restaurants were varied and good. Lunch at the pool area was fabulous. Grounds were very well maintained and beautiful to walk around.
Cons: Shows started too late for us at 10:00 pm. Ship bar didn't open until 11:00pm.
Location: Segway tour was a blast.
The Iberostar Grand is a wonderful experience for adults. Rooms very nice with a personal butler service. Staff very friendly and food and drinks plentiful . The pool was small but the beach was close and the ocean was beautiful. Would recommend this vacation.

Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro amazing placePosted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Its all inclusive. Adults only. Private and quiet get-away.
Cons: You must wear a bracket to identify you as a guest. Allows you access to all Iberostar resorts. Would be nice not to wear it if only at Grand property
Location: Many travel/tour companies around the hotel will help arrange for you. Many water activities (snorkel, rafting, etc) On site spa, gym.
The hotel, both room and property, were very well maintained. Just a beautiful place. Many pools and one of the best beaches I have ever been. They take pride on caring for the property so its an amazing daily experience. Plenty of chairs and towels offered. The food at both the buffets and restaurants were great. Just make sure to schedule reservations for the specialty restaurants with your butler when you arrive day one. They will help you do what you want while at the hotel and provide great service in addition to the wonderful service provided by all employees.

Perfect HoneymoonPosted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: The property is beautiful. The beach is amazing. Food is wonderful. I was worried about the food at a all inclusive, but not here!!
Cons: I think a informative email with instructions on reservations in the restaurants, needing the marriage certificate and transfer info should be sent.
Location: We stayed in the resort. They have plenty to do to occupy your time! But if you wanted to their are lots of things that can be booked.
Iberostar Grand Bavaro was beyond wonderful! Perfect location on the beach!! Wonderful view from our room. The staff was friendly and helpful. We are planning to go back!! I would recommend making reservations ahead of time for the restaurants. I think a email from the resort instructing that reservations are hard to get would be helpful. Also bring your marriage certificate. We did not know to. Things like that would be helpful in a quick thank you email and instructions on reservations.

Ideal temperatures the entire week. ParadisePosted Apr 3, 2014
We came from 28 degree Memphis to 82 hi 68 low. Was a wonderful trip. Absolutely gorgeous piece of property. Staff was helpful and friendly. We played golf twice, went snorkeling, tried Snuba but it was too choppy to get a good dive in. Food at iberostar is good not great at buffets but excellent in restaurants. Bars were easy to order from never had to wait long. Our butler Gomez made our trip easy for us. Thx. Loved Tommy one of the Star Players. Always happy. Excellent anniversary trip will go again.

Wonderful resortPosted Mar 24, 2014
The resort, pool, and facilities are immaculate. The beach is much less crowded than its neighbors. The food isn't like a top steakhouse/seafood restaurant, but it is much better than I would expect for an all-inclusive with a wide variety. The service is the best I've ever experienced.

The best all-inclusive!Posted Mar 22, 2014
Best all-inclusive we have been to! (We have been to several) The food was fantastic for an all inclusive. We ate at four of the five restaurants for dinner and the food was delicious. The wait staff was very attentive. The entire staff was amazing and pool and beachside activities a must! Yocaira, Armando, Tommy, "Boom Boom in the House" and all the entertainment staff made the trip so much more memorable! The butlers - Angel, Carlos, and Francisco made our anniversary perfect. We went with another couple and one got sick and one tripped and scratched his head; the entire staff continued to check on them and ask about them. They went above and beyond to help them. By the end of a 5 day stay we felt like family! The grounds were immaculate and the weather is the best in the Caribbean for March. Most everyone spoke Engish well, but please attempt to learn some basic Spanish out of respect. It makes everyone feel good when you try! Overall, we can't tell you enough how much we enjoyed it, and we will be back soon!
