“WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!!”
No complaints - the only suggestion would be to somehow improve the water pressure and restrict smoking to outside areas but at the same time you can't please everyone! Overall a very great time!!!
“Favorite Tropical Location”
If you like all-inclusive vacations this is one of the best places. The staff is friendly and grounds are beautiful. The dinner buffet is varied and you can always find something that suits.
“We will definately go back to this hotel!!”
Perfect for couples and families! The beach was gorgeous. The pool offered everything you could ever imagine in a pool and it was HUGE. The food was great for an All Inclusive and there were so many choices. Always some type of entertainment going on and water sports are offered right on the beach (The flying boat was CRAZY, its a must do). Our room was very nice, especially enjoyed the jacuzzi. We have been to many resorts and this was hands down the best!
“I loved it !!!!!!!!!!!”
I really loved this hotel. The swiming pool is big and the jacuzzis were big enough for all of us to fit in. At night we enjoyed playing in the game room (bowling, pool,). The beach is beautiful but you have to get there early in the morning so you can get where to sit all day. There is a transportation that takes around the resort. I WILL go back!!!!!!!!
“what a great place”
we had a party of 10 stay at this resort we had a blast...we had 2 rooms villa 4 ground floor.my sister villa 5 second floor check in was a breeze service was great would def... go back...my son turned 18 while we were there and they set up everything for us cake, table was all done up baloons ...all free of charge..what a wonderful resort...
“Awesome hotel, specially this time of the year!”
Hotel is excellent whith great swimming pools and spectacular view of the caribbean sea. There's bars all over the place with excellent bar tenders and exquisite tropical drinks. Food is delicious in all the variety of restaurants of the resort, perhaps 2 restaurants are not included in the "package". Service was outstanding and is a good advice to take lots of $1's to tip for great service.
“Relaxing Spring Break”
My boyfriend and I went on vacation here for our college spring break in an attempt to find something relaxing and not the typical spring break you see on tv. It worked perfectly. There was no real need to leave the hotel as everything was at your fingertips. You could eat whenever you want, and get drinks just about everywhere across the resort. If you want a hut on the beach, or a loungechair under an umbrella by the pool - go early, put your stuff down, eat and then go back. Food was good, and so were the drinks. They really appreciate $1 tips here and there. At the bars especially, they'll pay attention to you more if you tip.
“Great Value for the Money”
My wife and I spent 6 nights at Ocean Blue and it was almost perfect. Ill start out with the few cons: -Our bathroom ceiling developed a slow leak and the hotel wouldn't change our room. It took 2 days of them coming at inconvenient times to our room to fix it. -They would let local vendors set up shop at night in the main walkways and they would AGGRESSIVELY hassle you as you tried to walk to dinner. -Don't eat the hamburgers at their late night buffet (my wife and I both did at seperate times and both got sick). But the Pros outweighed the Cons: -EXCELLENT service from the hotel staff (maids, bartenders, servers), coudln't have been more pleasant\accomidating. -Great variety of foods in the buffets and impressive selection of liquor in the bars for an all inclusive. -Immacculately cleaned beach. -Beautifully maintained landscape. We will definately be going back next year.
“Great Value”
The perfect place to get relaxed. Eventhough this resort is ideal for families, my wife and me enjoyed it lot. At the begining, we were concerned due some negatives reviews in this page. However we found service, food quality and facilities very good. The best things are: the Beach and Mike's Coffee. The worst: you need to "reserve" a place in the beach very early in the morning (6-7am), since there are not enough sits and shadows in this area.
“Would go back”
We stayed at Ocean Blue from the 19th to 26th of October. We selected the Jr suite, and part of the package was being in their elite club. We got a speedy seperate check in, bottles of premuim liquor in our room and a fresh fruit basket. Free horseback riding trip, and a lobster dinner on the beach which was fantastic, we could not finish all of it. The resturants were great, I liked the Italain, Mexican, and Dominican fare. The buffet was great also plenty of selection so I cannot see anyone complaining there had to be somthing there you wanted. The beach is buetiful, the pool wonderful though it needs a little maintenance some of the tiles are peeling off the bottom. I do see them refinishing some rooms and putting money back in this resort making it cleaner and better. They installed a new lobby bar while we were there and it looks and turned out great. I would definatley recommend this hotel, I did alot of research and read some bad reviews but I am here to tell you my stay was very enjoyable and wish I could of stayed weeks longer. We did have a problem with water pressure and hot water for about 2 hours but 1 phone call was made and they fixed the problem quite quickly and to my satisfaction. Overall great experience grat value and fun for my money I will stay at Ocean Blue again.
