If you are single or a couple this is NOT the spot for you. No swim up bar and mostly kids. Also when they say the towels open at 8 don't show up until like 8:30 they are not on time.

Pros: food and swimming pool.
Cons: should not allow to go to pool wearing slippers.
Location: everything is ok
In hotel it was good that every staff tried their best to give there best service . most of the staff have difficulties to speak english still they did there best for make us happy. as a whole it was good hotel and good staffs.

Nice place for the money

Pros: Nothing particular, everything was fine.
Cons: Do not restrict the beach towel exchange to only once a day
Location: Buggie ride, Saona island tour, oceanic underwater walk.
This is an economic all-incisive hotel, not the luxury one. Do not expect them to serve you the premium brand drinks. The food is okay, not the best but you get lots of selections. Most staff do not speak English but if you treat them right, you will treat you loyal. Remember to tip them even the hotel says all tips are included. Couple of dollars a day will make you vacation a much better experience.

I have been there for one week with my wife and everething is terrible. Even when we came they downgrade our room ( for them it's like usually) and didn't give us back different for what we paid before. All RIU resorts don't care about their customers, they just want to make money. Never coming back to RIU Resorts.

Would not recommend unless you speak Spanish. Staff is NOT very friendly. Rooms are ok, on website it says double beds....1 double bed and 1 twin. Very disappointed! :-(

Riu Hotels

You get what you pay for and not in a good way

Pros: It was next to the beach....But so isn't all the other resorts
Cons: Alot could be improved from customer service, room cleanliness, to out-dated equipments.
Location: Not much but some local shops and the beach next door.
The hotel looks great from the outside but it's what's inside that turned me off. First the room smelled awful, the beds where literally like rocks I don't think they even had springs inside. The mini fridge was a complete joke and the sheets were dirty and still had stains. The buffet was the same throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner minus a few items. The meat was really chewy and sometimes under cook. After only being there for 2 days I got really sick and had diarrhea. The staff were really rude and unhelpful unless money was involved, let me be clear not all of them just the ones at the front desk. It was just a bad experience overall, I should have just paid the extra money to be a better hotel and enjoyed my vacation.

The Hotel is not really great but the food and the beach was excellent.
