Pros: It was a beautiful hotel, but not very well kept however, the staff was very nice and efficient.
Cons: The rooms need to be renovated.
Location: The restaurants were very conveniently located.
I was disappointed with the beach, it was full of seaweed and rocks. The water was cloudy.

Beautiful place to enjoy with your partner. Excellent service and food, my room was located just a short walk away from the beach. The entertainment staff make you feel at home, they are amazing and so friendly. They have different activities going on every day like bingo night, movies, pool parties, games at beach and so much more. If you are into adventure the hotel includes places where you can snorkel, paddle boat and kayak in the clear and warm beach water. The beautiful Dominican Republic scenery was very romantic. My husband and I enjoyed our experience, we will definitely book our vacation here again.

Sanctuary is an Understatement!

Posted Aug 27, 2014
There was truly very few negative aspects of our stay. The people wer so curteous and willing to serve! Especially, Rosa, Johanna and Julio! And Saul, from bell services....the Best!!! Will MOST definately return! Remember, this is a place to truly relax, not Party! I really needed this awesome getaway!!

Worst Experience Ever!!!!

Posted Aug 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
I have been traveling to Cap Cana for the past 5 years, and have stayed at every hotel in the resort. Though i have to admit this time i decided to stay at the Sanctuary Cap Cana because i wanted to try what i thought was the best hotel of the place and the nicest facilities of the resort. To my surprise i got the worst and most expensive experience. I first room i went was absolutely dirty and was in no condition to receive guests. The second room appear not to have been touched in about 6 months full of dust the room was not even maid, i had to wait for the staff to come and start making beds and trying to accommodate the room to receive guests. Even the bell man noticed that the room was not ready and he got nervous and started to call house keeping, because he saw my reaction because it was the second room we were taken to. I decided to leave the hotel, because this was not a place i felt comfortable in. It was all a mess and an experience that you should avoid. A couple that we were traveling with also had the same experience and they left behind us, because their two rooms were also a mess.

Beautiful Resort and Relaxing Vacation

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The staff was really kind and worked hard to make us have a wonderful experience.
Cons: The food
Location: We really enjoyed visiting the blue hole--a bit overpriced for what it is but workth it.
We had a couple of issues upon arrival with our room but management addressed these immediately. Afterwards, everything went smoothly and we really enjoyed our stay. August is rainy season and we were lucky we had beautiful weather. The only problem was that the rain brings seaweed and the beach in the area was full of it. It was a small price to pay for getting good weather. The food in the hotel is not incredible, but better than other all inclusive places. Overall, the place is secluded, beautiful and very relaxing. There are activities during the day but it is not too loud or disturbing if you do not want to partake. We drove to other hotels to see how they were and we were lucky we stayed at the Sanctuary. The other hotels had hundreds of people, partying, loud music, and they all shared a beach and there wasn't much privacy. It depends what type of vacation you are looking for. This hotel is recommended for a quieter vacation and more secluded. Go elsewhere if you want a spring break-like environment.

Excellent with some things to fix

Posted Aug 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Everything was excellent. The only thing I would emphasize on would be the customer service they need to practice on. They work hard and are extremely nice, but they do take very long to do their services. We ordered room service, and it took an hour and a half to get there. Aside from that, everything was wonderful. The enthusiasm of the staff made the stay very welcoming

Nice villas

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The staff at the restaurants and the pools.
Cons: Room service and house keeping needs major improvement.
Location: Blue lagoon.
Food was good quality and the restaurant staff was excellent. Very pleasing to deal with and extremely helpful. Room service was non existent. Put in a call for coffee and mini bar refill.....never came and the vacation is over. House keeping could improve vastly. Restaurant staff was one extreme, very helpful but forget room service. Absolutely no response. Beach was not usable. Excessive seaweeds issue.

A great getaway.

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The pool, with beach entry and swim-up bar is magnificent. Very clean. Enough lounge chair at all times; no need to reserve them with a towel.
We booked a hotel and flight package and upgraded to the all-inclusive feature. It was a good value for the money. The quality of food and drink was excellent. Tasty meals and plenty of choices. Nice specialty restaurants to choose from. The Japanese teppanyaki is highly recommended. Staff is very friendly; they did everything to make you feel right at home.
