Clean resort. Super friendly staff. Pool was the lazy river style which was unique. Meals were fantastic ... so many resterants (b/c you can go to the resort next door also) you dont have a chance to try them all! Spa was amazing.

Best birthday ever!!Posted Jan 31, 2014
It was the best vacation I've had in a long while. It wasn't too expensive because all the special treatment and variety you have during your stay exceeds the price. You have access to the neighboring hotel and it's all inclusive as well. There's activities by secrets and it's neighboring resort that all guess are welcome to. There are also additional activities and water sports you can pay for as well as excursions outside if the resort but organized through the resort. I went by myself for my 25th birthday and they decorated my bedroom daily, gave me a banner across my door, and sent a bottle of Champaign and personalized cake on my actual birthday! It made me fees special and everyone knows your name. Amazing experience by myself. I can only imagine how much more fun it would have been if I was with a group of friends.

Great Hotel!!Posted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: The entertainment each night, also the service in genearl was excellent.
Location: They have an AmStar representative on site at the hotel, they were helpful. We did take an excursion through them, it was well organized and planned.
The hotel was really great! The biggest difference between this hotel an others that I have stayed at in the Caribbean was their nightly entertainment! They had interesting performances and activities starting each night around 7:30 or 8:30 pm. This was great to go to and have a drink or two after dinner and have something to watch. Also, the hotel was extremely clean and well kept. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They really wanted to be as accomodating as possible. The beach had a number of umbrella huts, nice chairs, same for the pool. It was a really good experience, I would definitely go back and stay on the island at the Secrets hotel again.

Nice hotel but not so nice foodPosted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms and well maintained grounds
Cons: Food. More wait / bar staff
The hotel itself was well maintained. The rooms were clean and the maids did an excellent job. The big let down is the food even by Caribbean standards.

Perfect getaway for our honeymoon!Posted Jan 5, 2014
Pros: We loved our suite, the Preferred Members pool, beach, eating areas, etc. The staff at this resort is absolutely amazing. We miss it already!
Cons: We didn't realize that breakfast, lunch and dinner would have set hours at the restaurants; especially during lunch times. Not a huge deal though.
Location: We snorkeled, drove speed boats, took a helicopter ride, shopped and deep sea fished! There was also parasailing, beach sports and other activities.
From flights to our stay at Secrets Royal Beach Resort - we couldn't have asked for more! It was incredible! From the minute we got to the resort we were treated so very well by the resort staff. Throughout our whole week, they always had a smile on their face and did everything to make our stay a first class one. Our hotel suite was in the "Preferred Members" area and was absolutely wonderful. We did not know we would be in the Preferred Members until we got to our room (Thank you Expedia)! From the awesome white sand beaches that were groomed every morning, to the incredible restaurants on this resort, my wife and I had an amazing stay. Should also mention that our flights with Delta Airlines were flawless, on time, arrived early at destinations in a couple occasions and never had any lost or damaged luggage. We also booked some excursions through the Expedia representative at our resort. He was very friendly and made sure all of our needs were met without issue. He even gave us his cell phone number to call him on his day off if our shuttle was late. Excellent customer service! My wife and I would stay at a Secrets Resort again and book through Expedia without giving it a second thought.

Quiet, relaxing resort.Posted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: We enjoyed the quiet, relaxing atmosphere of the resort.
Cons: We wished that the internet access was free, but prices weren't unreasonable.
Location: We didn't leave the resort during our stay, but noticed that the tour staff had many options from snorkeling to hiking to shopping.
We enjoyed floating around the pool, lounging on the beach and exploring the resort. While there were plenty of daily activities hosted by enthusiastic and friendly entertainment staff, we chose to relax and enjoy the warm weather and sunshine. Everybody was very friendly, from the concierge, to the bar tenders and waitstaff, to the housekeeping. Every request was addressed quickly and courteously. We could not have asked for a better experience.

VacationPosted Sep 30, 2013
Great beach location and staff. Forgot to leave towels and washcloths almost everyday. Food was 3 star at best. Almost like they cooked everything the previous day. Fruit and salads were only thing that seemed fresh. Overall A good trip but wasn't a 5 start resort to me
