Softball Weekend in MolinePosted Jul 15, 2013
Pros: Staff was great.
Cons: See the review above.
Location: We really didn't have time to see or do anything but the softball we came for.
This was a last minute reservation handled by Expedia. The hotel was a little hard to navigate to and when we got there, there were 3 or 4 guests hanging out at the front door, smoking. The smell came into the lobby and up the stairwell. I am an ex-smoker, so this didn't really bother me, but my daughter is allergic, so it did bother her. Maybe suggest a smoking area be set up somewhere else besides the front entrance. The front desk clerk was FABULOUS!!!!! It was late, she was friendly and very welcoming. Can't remember her name but she was young and heavy-set, dark hair and lots of tatoos. Loved her!! The hotel was still under renovations and looked like it. Laundry room was clean and bright. Not the cleanest room I have ever had, but not the worst either. The tub didn't drain properly, so we ended up standing in our shower water (kinda gross). Could use some sort of breakfast, even doughnuts and/or muffins would have been great.

Will Not Go BackPosted Jul 15, 2013
Cons: Most everything
Location: Food and airport
We are usually not very critical of a hotel, but this place had a lot to be desired. It appears not much care is taken on the upkeep of the facility. If the windows to the entrance of the building were cleaned, it would look 100% better. Coming into the parking lot you will see a yellow work truck up on blocks with all 4 tires missing. That right away does not give you a good feeling. Not many lights work in the parking lot either. Walking down the hallway to get to our room, several of the rooms were missing handles on the doors. I know we will not visit this place anytime in the near future. I don't understand how a franchise would allow this kind of upkeep. Good luck and maybe offer them some glass cleaner.

Waiting on a jet planePosted Oct 15, 2012
The reason for my stay was to catch a plane home the next morning. The hotel suited that purpose but I wouldn't stay there with my family. Door latchs were loose, wall paper was pilling, and carpet throughout the hotel was old and wore out. Over all poor maintence on the building. Close to airport with shuttell.

Run-DownPosted Jul 30, 2012
Pros: The air conditioning worked. I didn't get fleas.
Cons: It's run-down and depressing
Location: Inconvenient from everything
The place is run-down. Sure, it's cheap, but everything is an extra. For example, the airport shuttle is not included like the nearby La Quinta's. My room had water damage and a strange smell. It wouldn't surprise me if the place got torn down as the rubble might have more value than the finished goods. The hallways could use new carpeting and the wallpaper was falling off in need of repairs. The TV had not been updated to a flat screen. Since I had been sleeping on the ground in a tent for the week prior to my stay, the bed seemed comfortable. The bath linens were ratty. The air conditioning worked satisfactorily. For what it's worth, the pool had been out of service for nearly two months. I would have been reluctant to swim in it anyway. I'd recommend this flea bag hotel to a friend if they were the adventurous sort in the mood for a stay in a particularly unpleasant and depressing motel. If I wanted to maintain my friendship with them, I'd recommend they stay at the nearby La Quinta.

over allPosted Oct 1, 2009 on Hotels.com
Our room was OK and the staff was OK. I did not like that there is no elevator in this hotel and we were on the second floor. We had to carry all our luggage up the stairs.

A Fixer UpperPosted Aug 28, 2009 on Hotels.com
Fairly easy to find. Staff friendly and polite. Standard room. Bathroom is nicely updated. Still standard tv's in room and has a data port to run computer. Breakfast good with biscuts and gravy. Now the other part. Hallway carpet old and dingy need replaced along with dark lighting. Both upper and lower ice machines out and no ice available from staff. Only one tv in breakfast area and only one computer that is very slow in lobby for public use. Could use some TLC and elbow grease.
