Hotel was a neat place to stay.Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: The price was cheap and the room/bathroom was clean.
Cons: Could use a little updating, but really wasn't that bad.
Location: Very close to the Mississippi River.
We found the hotel online and decided to try it out. We ended up really enjoying our stay. The room we had was very clean and the bed quite comfortable. The decor in the hotel was neat and I liked that it was different. The hotel is a bit dated, but overall, a good place to stay.

wont stay againPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: the room was clean
Location: we went to see our son who just moved there after college. So we just drove around to see him place and his work
they advertise room service they had none. the ice machine was empty. the noise in the halls went on all night loud talking laughing and swearing. When I told the front desk they really didn't care, So we will not be staying there again.

This hotel has seen better daysPosted Aug 10, 2014
I first stayed here 15 years ago. At that time it was a nice experience. After moving to the area, we would visit to enjoy the lounge and restaurant. This was my first visit back to the area in 10 years and the entire place has gone downhill. It seems as if nothing has been repaired or fixed in the last 10 years. The restaurant appeared non-existent, the plaster was chipped in the hall and my room. Bed was warn out. Sheets were paper thin. There are better places to stay for not much more money.

Never again.Posted Aug 5, 2014
Cons: Spend some money on maintaining what was obviously once a top-of-the-line destination. Could add a complimentary light breakfast.
Location: Close to all Quad-cities attractions like the Rock Island Arsenal, Niabi Zoo. Davenport fairgrounds, 1 hour to Amana Colonies, good restaurants.
Any long-term maintenance for both hotel and grounds appeared to be non-existent. Started with potholes in the parking lot, grounds that had not been cleaned up from the past fall, hallways and elevators that had not been vacuumed since?? (spider webs along baseboards, stuff on floor). Made the mistake of walking barefoot in the room, found some kind of a pill and lots of grit. Air conditioning did not respond to thermostat - room always uncomfortably warm. Tub did not drain - had 5" of water in it at the end of a shower. Breakfast would have been another $9 per person on top of the over-priced room rate. Beds were comfortable enough and the location of the hotel was OK. Decor was unique to say the least - Herman and Lilly must have loved it when they lived there.

Needs serious update!Posted Aug 2, 2014
Cons: Demolish it and build a new one.
Location: Lived in the area in a previous life.
The Lodge use to be a top notch hotel. Those days are gone. First clue, the drive way to main entrance was full of weeds. Hotel is dark and furnishings in need of an update. Really beat up. Desk clerk not friendly. We stayed in the tower. We were not directed to the elevator to reach our room. When we stepped off elevator the hallway was smoke filled, even though there is a no smoking policy. TV was old, remote did not work. Be prepared, this hotel seems to be a stay for day labor and their families. Kids everywhere, noisy and litter. At night we observed the return of workers. Twelve packs of beer and fifths of whiskey, drinking and hanging out in the parking lot. I could go on. Avoid this hotel!

Dirty room, poor customer servicePosted Jul 31, 2014
We stayed as a little get away for the night With our family. Checking in the gentleman just said sign here. Getting into The room the first thing I noticed was a huge brown spot on the pillow. I called the front desk and he did not apologize just said bring it down and ill swap it out. He did not offer to bring up a new one I couldn't believe it. Then when I checked out I went up to the front desk and the gentleman there didn't acknowledge the fact that I was even there. I had to say excuse me. He looked at me and I said I'm checking out. He said k and went back to his computer. As a front office manager in the hotel business I was appalled at the poor service I received and would never allow my employees to treat guests that way. I used to love this hotel but I will not be returning after this experience.

A Nostalgic LookPosted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: THe decor and atmosphere. I have stayed at other Jumer hotels before. This one needs refreshing. I understand it will close as it has been sold??
Cons: The pool was something I looked forward to --not very inviting.
Location: Several nice restaurants in the Bettendorf area. Especially Mo Brady's Steak House
I was thrilled with the Expeida rate. I was disappointed with the pool and the lack of warmth and helpfulness of the staff. I have good experiences in the past at other Jumer hotels.

Room in disrepair. Cracks in sink. Broken towel racks, curtain rods and bed frames. Only one of the two phones worked. Not all of the lights worked.

Dated and ready to go under if not already!Posted Jul 26, 2014
Old hotel that is on a prime piece of property. Road construction will make it impossible for a non local to find out how to get into the parking lot. This will not be in iperation for long. Growing community and the Lodge (old Jumers) is not long for the world!

Pros: Over all it was reasonable priced and comfortable with a relaxing outside view.
Cons: There is no complimentary breakfast. Coffee was put out but empty. Fresh coffee is a must!
Location: The location is great and will be very nice once road repairs are complete. A resturant is attached to the Lodge, a big plus!
Moderately clean, antique furniture was pleasing to the eye, the bed was very comfortable. Reminded me of the Adam's Family surroundings!
