Old Fashioned, but Fun!

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The location is convenient. The staff is very nice.
Cons: An upgrade to tv's would be good. They are not modern and they pale in comparison to the HD versions found elsewhere.
Location: One bad thing about the location currently is that there is a lot of construction going on!!!
I stayed in this hotel last year, and again this year while visiting friends in the Moline, IL area. The location is very close to the bridge that connects Illinois to Iowa. It was clean, convenient, and the old fasioned decor is interesting.

Great Choice for the Wolf

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Everything was great about the hotel. Easy to find, easy to please everyone whom was with us.
The Great Wolf Lodge was a great choice. The price was amazing given that the Cherry Festival was going on that week. Other hotels were asking for three times as much and had so much less to offer. The hotel was fabulous and the restaurant inside was delicious. We had a teenager and a young adult with us on vacation and all four of us loved the waterpark. The room was great with two big beds and a hide-a-bed sofa, oh, and don't forget the deck. I would absolutely stay here again in the future.

Very disgusting.

Our stay at the Lodge was horrible. The room was very dirty, the shower was disgusting and had dirt on the walls and the shower curtain. The water was gross and after taking a shower I felt as though I had to take another shower. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to stay there.

Pros: The looks.
We loved the look of the hotel, we very much enjoyed looking around at the details in the d├ęcor. It felt like we had went back in time. We went swimming in the pool and then relaxed in the hot tub. The only thing that would have been nice was to be able to have breakfast.

Do Not Book a Room Here!

Posted Jun 4, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything - start over
The uncut lawn, dead pine in from and dilapidated condition of the exterior was our first clue that something was wrong. There was only one other car in the parking lot. We thought the hotel had closed and we weren't notified. The interior, medieval chateau theme, appeared to have not been updated (or seriously cleaned) since the late '70s. Same can be said for the rooms, bathroom had mildew and rust stains on surfaces. We checked the fitness room (broken and aged equipment) and locker room (didn't go more than a few step in due to the odor - think old city subway in the summer). The only redeeming aspect of our visit, we did not stay, was the prompt and courteous response of the front desk staff when we asked for a refund on our deposit - they complied as if they were well experienced in the process.

Outstanding and very charming hotel.

As this was our first time at the Lodge in Bettendorf, we were quite a surprised! A simply charming old world style that you wouldn't expect in Iowa. Each corner is filled with custom made furnishings that you would assume were imported from Germany, but once you read the history of the Lodge you'll learn a surprising story of the woodworking and all the features of the hotel. The staff were very courteous and conscience of all the needs you would need. The room service was fast and the best food ever. The Ruebens at lunch were perfect. The the prime rib on the dinner menu was the best we have ever tasted! We are looking forward to our next stay in the Lodge which will be really soon. Susan and Clay Indiana
