Quaint European Style Hotel

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: It is very old world.
Location: We could walk to all the sights in Old Town. It is about a 15 to 20 minute walk'
We were greeted by the owner who made us feel at home and made suggestions for things to see and do in the city. We enjoy small family owned hotels and don't expect upscale. The internet was free and worked well and there was a computer available to print boarding passes. Breakfast is made to order and delivered by the owner. We had a very early flight and he made a taxi reservation the day before our flight for us. The only negative would be carrying luggage up the stairs if you don't pack light.

Close to restaurants, close to lower town,

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: Nothing, this is a bed and breakfast place and we had a small kitchenette included in our room. everything was perfect.
Location: Small specialty shops, bus stop nearby. Several restaurants nearby and if you walked down the street a small distance a wider variety of shops.
Quick service, excellent breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.

Nice character inn

It was a good choice to stay with family in the Chateau. The kids loved the character of the hotel. Friendly welcoming owner made us feel even more comfortable. The inn is very clean and the room was spacious and well setup.

Intimate inn in a funky part of Quebec City

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: See above.
Cons: If desk chair could have fit under the desk to make more space in the room. Place to hang towels/face cloths by the sink. Very minor stuff!
Location: See above
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great. Loved the location - on one of Quebec's more interesting streets, full of restaurants, bars, shops, bakeries, etc. Not touristy like old city, but within a very easy walk of the old (walled) city. Would stay there again without hesitation.

Lovely family weekend stay

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Hotel was hot too far from the old town. Spacious and clean room. Hotel staff was nice. The only thing is that they could not provide a baby crib. Overall, it is an hotel I would recommend.

Quaint, interesting, character hotel

Posted Jul 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and informal. The included breakfast was excellent, exceptional. It is an older building with stairs and a rambling arrangement of rooms and an interesting roof top terrace, which give it great character. It is great for couples looking for something that fits the ambience of old Quebec City; although I don't think it would be suitable for families with young children or anyone with mobility issues.

Great place to stay!

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: We liked the convenience, friendliness of staff, and cleanliness and attractive facilities.
Location: There are too many things to list to do in Old Quebec all up and down Rue St. Jean!
This auberge is located right on Rue St. Jean which makes it so convenient to walk through Old Quebec. The owner was so personable and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay there again.

Romantic, Good Service and Perfect Location

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The charm of a bed and breakfast combined with the neighborhood that was just outside the main tourist areas made for a perfect stay. Great value!
Location: Walk to the walled city and several neighborhoods included coffee houses, microbrews and patisseries. A drive to the falls and the island.
This was a terrific place for my wife and I to stay for our 25th wedding anniversary trip. Each morning was a treat for breakfast that was well-prepared and plated. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful in getting us to things not easily found on tourist maps. We mostly walked, many sites being close. We could not see them in all five days. The location was close, but for me perfect as it was not in the center of a very touristy area. The building was charming and rooms were well decorate. The bed was firm and we both slept very well on it. We enjoyed watching the sun set on the roof-top terrace. I would recommend this place and would stay a second time.
