Uncomfortable beds, many extra charges

Decent proximity to Mont Sainte Anne, overpriced for age and condition of hotel, extra charges for everything from coffee to firewood (while most rooms have fireplaces).

My Auberge La Camarin experience

Pros: clean room and lots of towels

Not worth the price

This hotel was a huge disappointment. Of an Auberge, it only has the name. Yes, the exterior of the building looks better than an econolodge but the interior does not even compete with it. First the carpet in the entrance was really dirty and had not even been cleaned up when we left the next morning. Second, the corridors look like youth hostel ones. metal stairs, white walls, poor lighting and the rooms are just like any cheap motel you can find anywhere except that they are the price of an Hotel de charme let's say. On top of that, the breakfast was not included and before we understood that we already had ordered coffees for which they charged us 8 dollars ( not kidding). We then just ran off this place( not after they were some credit card machine pbs and confusion for the check out) and headed to the Tim Hortons !

We have been staying at this hotel for many years. The hotel has become shabby, the beds were so "hard", by morning we thought we had broken our backs plus it was a long night without sleep because of this. Dinner was excellent as usual and met our expectations, but there was something lacking here as well. A young lady at the desk for check in was less than hospitable like she really didn't enjoy her job.

Beautiful location; homy; spacious and comfortable room. One regret: no air conditioning.
