“Best Find!!”
We were looking for a hotel with character located in Old Quebec City and this was a jewel!! From time time we checked it on Wed night an invited to a coctail party hosted by the owner, to the close proximity to all that Old Quebec City has to offer. The onsite restaurant - Panache has beautiful ambiance, fantastic food and great service. It was very interesting to see the numerous displayed artifacts within the hotel that were unconvered during the construction of the inn. We can't wait to go back!!
“Quebec City”
Absolutely stunning hotel, luxurious, perfectly situated. The description makes it sound like the rooms have old world charm. They are modern and lovely but not old world. The restaurant is in a gorgeous stone building with wood beams - the old world part. Expensive but worth it.
“Fantastic small hotel in Quebec City”
Very cozy hotel near all the sights in Quebec City. Very caring and attentive staff. Attention to detail in all rooms. We felt very welcome. It was definitely up to Relais & Chateaux standards.
“Amazing”
Hotel and Staff are fantastic
“Medium satisfaction”
1- The central heating shut off when you leave the room, unacceptable in winter and into a Relais Chateaux 2- Rooms are poorly furnished 3- Prepaid flat price breakfast (20 Dlrs per person) : Only A La Carte expensive choices and finally you pay a lot of extras if you want to get a decent breakfast. Confused explanation from the staff.
“Loved the hotel; a great place in the winter”
We chose this hotel because of its ratings. It was affordable for us because it was off season. The room was very comfortable and unique, not one of those cookie cutter types. The hotel is in the perfect spot for exploring the city. It is a very short walk to the furnicular and upper town. Even though it was winter when we went, the city was active. The hotel met our expectations and the staff was very attentive and helpful. They provided recommendations for other restaraunts. The cocktail hour on Wednsday evening thrown by the owners is not to be missed. The restraunt at the hotel, Panache is exceptional though pricey. It is also not to be missed. Breakfasts there were very good too. Reservations were not a problem for this time of year and the ambiance was great. We visited the ice hotel which we could not have done another time of year. The hotel provided us with our car quickly and easily whenever we requested it. Parking is extra as it is in most of the city but this hotel has an underground garage right there. We definitely would go back to this hotel and have already recommended this to our friends. We used taxis to get around town when dinner was at a distance and these were reasonable and easily obtained. I am looking forward to going back again, probably in the wintertime.
“The best of Quebec”
The rooms are beautiful, with extra touches I really appreciate. Heated floors in the bathroom, thermostatic valves in the shower (no temperature fluctuations), well laid out bathrooms, beautiful furniture, and the best pillows I have ever slept on. The breakfast and dinners were delicious, and the service great.
“Expected better for a Relais Chateaux”
Nice hotel, well located. Very limited view Service overstated, eg concierge with several awards but often away, TV not working properly, sheets with a hole, limited amenities ... Overall: overpriced.
“A wonderful weekend getaway”
The Auberge St. Antoine was a nice change from the Frontenac, which we normally stayed at. Because of the excellent reviews on Expedia, we decided to give this boutique hotel a try and we loved it. It was in a great location (not once did we use our car in the three days we were there) and we walked everywhere. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathtub awesome!! One piece of advice: make reservations at the hotel restaurant for dinner before you arrive. It was completely booked for the three nights we stayed, although we were able to eat breakfast there with no wait. This is a special hotel worth staying at!
“Can't say enough about hotel and surrounding restaurants.”
the lobby was perfect after a long day of sightseeing, sat in a windowbox with a glass of wine and met people from all over the world. I have a back problem and woke every morning incomplete comfort. Loved the fine dining of Panache. Would love to go back for a relaxing time in Old Quebec City.
