We stayed at this Chateau Repotel Duplessis about 6 years ago, and we were very satisfied with our experience. So, when we returned to Quebec City this year, we decided to stay here again, expecting another satisfying experience. When we arrived, we were assigned a room on the 3rd floor. It looked nothing like the "hotel" that we had stayed in before. The carpeting in the hallway looked extremely worn and did not seem clean or well-vacuumed, and when we entered the room that we had been assigned, we found the same to be true. Worn and seemingly not very clean or vacuumed carpeting, something left spilled and not cleaned up on the window sill, and dark-colored, patterned bedspreads that looked extremely tattered and worn, with noticeable "nubs" all over them. We went back down to the reception desk, told the desk clerk what we found, and we requested another room. He was very accommodating, and then assigned us a room on the 4th floor, which looked very similar to the room that we had about 6 years ago. The hallway carpeting on the 4th floor looked just fine, as did the carpeting in the room itself. In addition, the new room was extremely clean. It was well-vacuumed, and the bed coverings, which were white, looked fresh and extremely clean. We decided to give this hotel an overall low mark, because if we hadn't been reassigned to another room on a different floor, we would not have stayed at the hotel at all.

Good Hotel

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Had free continetal breakfast, Rooms where clean, and bed was comfy
Cons: More Plugs would be nice, Had to unplug lamps to plug phone and tablet
Good hotel, very close to lots of shopping and dinning places, on the outskirts of the Downtown. Easy to get to Saint Anne de beaupre from this location.

Room is a bit small for a family of four. Overall though you get more than what you pay for

Good hotel with those with budget in mind.

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Great rate for staying in Quebec, parking and breakfast included
Cons: Facility is a bit older and rooms a bit smaller but more than enough for our stay.
Location: Close to highway to get to Old Quebec. Lots of restaurants nearby. Shopping Mall within walking distance.
Overall a good hotel with those with budget in mind. Room is fine and well equipped with extras such as a fridge and tables. Check-in and check-out was efficient and quick. Ample parking around the hotel or in the underground area. Easy access to the highway, drive to Old Quebec is 15 minutes. Area is near many restaurants, McDonalds is right next door. Included breakfast is continental style with toast, bagels, muffins, and fresh fruit. No hot items but enough to get the day started.

Good hotel with all hotels etc on door

Posted Sep 3, 2014
It was a wonderful stay. Nice hotel nice staff and clean rooms. There was however lot of bad odour and bad smell everywhere in whole hotel inside...not pleasant...not comfortable..not acceptable...we had to buy a air freshener for room so that we are able to sleep at least at night. Overall not a bad hotel with this much price.

Price of hotel was great for location

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Location, room rates, and a suitable breakfast (always kept stocked)
Location: Although it was 10/15 minutes from Downtown it was a great place. Shopping almost across the street and a few minutes to shopping on Laurier Blvd.
Spending 3 days in Quebec City was made great with the Hotel. The 4th floor was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Although not close to downtown it was only a 10/15 minute drive to downtown and closer to shopping.
